Thanks guys, confirms what I suspected really. Think I will give it a go, the new Panther Mit 88 was also tempting but it doesn't have the limited matchmaking so that pretty much rules it out in comparisons with the FCM.

I did also briefly consider the T-34-3, but ran into one in when in my JagdPanther last night. Lets just say that in a close range one on one confrontation a tier 8 medium that cannot take any hp off a tier 7 case mate TD whilst losing all of it's own is probably not worth paying for... redcard

I'm sure you'd get on fine with the FCM.

The Panther 88 doesn't appeal at all as the regular Panther II sucks - as I'm sure you know. I've tried the T-34-3 and as a flanker it's OK. It would certainly wreck a JagdPanther if it was driven well & got round the side or back.

I finally got my first Dumitru's Medal for killing all 4 enemy scumbags. I slipped through their lines and really put those cockroaches to flight. I had to chase the last one back to my own base before I nailed him.

I rammed killed one of the fkers too. laugh

Hah good job. It's great when you get in among them, like a fox in the chicken coop. You just know they are all raging at their team too hehe.

I'm not quite sure what went wrong for the T-34-3, I certainly thought my goose was cooked when I saw him charging toward me as there was also an enemy IS8 and Centurion 1 lurking. I think they assumed the t-34-3 would get me too, so left us to it. But a combination of not flat terrain, crafty angling and keeping the bugger tracked meant he only got a couple of shots at me, and those that did hit bounced. I have no idea about who was driving it, it was post patch before any xvm updates, so it's possible it was someone new but it certainly did nothing to sell the tank smile.

Quite amusingly the IS8 then decided to have a go on 600hp or so, got tracked coming around a corner, missed his shot then died to my second shot into his tracks. The Cent then also tried it on from behind (must have been a sailor) and suffered the same fate, although at least took some health off me. Love the JagdPanther mind, cracking tank. The 4 skill crew probably helps too evil

I liked the JagdPanther too & I played it until I'd unlocked both tier 8s.

Funnily enough I had a JagdPanther come after my IS yesterday. He was too aggressive though and I was able to go through his front plate with regular 122mm shells no problem. If he'd been smart and angled, it would likely have glanced off.

I thought the T-32-3 was OK, but then I was used to playing the T-34-2 with the 122mm gun. That thing is even smaller and has a longer reload. They're both quite low to the ground, which doesn't help when firing at angled armour.

As ever with Chinese tanks, you have to constantly fight the lack of gun depression, even on terrain that wouldn't bother most tanks. You can see that here in a game I had with on the test server over a year ago, just before it was released for the first time.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1F_RF_TIfTs

They've recently buffed the reload by a second, as well as the accuracy (including accuracy on the move).

I've seen a few Panther 88s around already, but not got the chance for a close up look yet. It wasn't on the test server (which has now closed BTW), which probably tells you all you need to know about how good it is.

fking hell I've had such a rough night on this fking game, pretty much every single match I've been in my team have rolled over and let the reds tear us to bits, what a fking disgrace. I'm sick of topping the scoreboard on losing teams, with performances I know are stunted because my T34 and FV207 aren't exactly carry tanks, so I go down in a hail of fire and make fk all XP for doing so. It's really disheartening to be playing with tier 8-10 tanks and see half the team not break the 800 damage mark. I had a tier 10 game earlier where 6 players on my team did 0 damage and there were not even AFK! I won't feel too guilty for switching off to play Halo, tonight is not my night.

Yes, there's a lot of dithering 45 percenters busy contributing with another loss.

Must be a thing tonight, just like every other night! All I want to do is have some fun games after work and after 3 or 4 I'm close to launching my controller across the room. People are just so fking backwards, the mind boggles!

That is good. I love Boxtank. I'm not sure about the E-25, but the SU-122-44 is very good and that's also £14.

They've got the T-34-85M premium tank for the first time I see. This has double the front armour (90mm) of the regular T-34-85, but doesn't get the top engine or gun.

The FCM 50t is £28.77 as well. £5 less than normal.

These offers are for the next 17 days, so no hurry.

All that jazz

You'll get your arses handed to you on a plate if you use boxtenk or E25 without 6th sense. E25 is ok at tier 7 but you need to know tier 8 tank weak spots inside out if you get top tier with it as you'll be bouncing for days. hehe

I really enjoy my E-25. I'm a bit too keen to get forward with it sometimes and as it doesn't have a lot of HP that can lead to rapid death. But when I remember to run away and pop up somewhere else, it's a cracker. Sixth sense is vital as mentioned. So many players ignore you as you "only" do 130hp damage per shot, but it's amazing how quickly that takes them down smile It's very accurate, so weak spots and long range are a given. Carry a few HE and prem rounds for the bad times. I give mine coated optics; when hunting arty or the last couple of heavies, you can stop as soon as you see them and pick them apart without them ever seeing you.

It's a tank that really can make a difference to the end game.
OTOH, it's also a tank that dies quickly when you get caught out!

I tend to play an E25 game between each of my grinders. Helps the credit bank too!

I'm feeling disillusioned today, tired of playing artillery on World of Corridors and Urban Maps, and my T34 feels like a bad luck charm - probably because it's such an easy kill for tier 10s, and the gun is a threat to them (unlike a lot of tier 8s that can't really hurt tier 10s that quickly or easily without APCR), so I keep getting picked out and hammered, even when I try to roll with other 10s for protection. I can't help but think this thing is more like a premium T30 at tier 8, a turreted TD rather than a true heavy.

Either way, I'm going up the American medium or Russian medium (T-62A) line over the Christmas holidays, so we'll see what happens. I've got a poll up on the Xbox site, but seems to be "T-62A line is great, I haven't played the Americans though", so how useful the opinions are I'm not too sure. Any thoughts? I don't often see high tier Yank meds, maybe for a reason.

I didn't think the E-25 was very good and I certainly wouldn't buy one. The gun is all right at tier 5 on a Stug and 6 on a medium tank, but at tier 7 it's hopeless.

I played it quite a lot, but it was the test server. I think there's better ones to spend the money on.

The speed and the very high camo rating is where the E25 excels. The gun is really its secondary role, your primary role is to use it to scout and rack up the XP from spotting which, in a tier 8 game, gives a very nice reward in terms of coins and XP. The gun also makes it a good sniper if the opportunity presents itself but if you try to take on tier 8s at close/medium range or within view range then it won't end well for you. You defo need to bringing minimum 10 gold with you as you will need it. I don't bother with HE in mine as I always seem to be bottom tier these days so renders it useless except for arty.

The SU-122-44 is more flexible and you don't really need to use gold ammo.

For £14 they're both worth having. Just depends if you have a German crew already.

confused The 122-44 is not comparable to the E25 in any way, other than it's also a premium tank. Not sure what your point is/was tbh.
