I'd say if you're doing well in it, keep it and stick it out. The T95 is worth it.
On a side note, Churchill III troll platoon FTW! Mastodon, RSpetznas and myself stormed across... forgot the name of the map! Winter, 3 bridges going over a central river? Anyway, with our combined rate of fire we were hitting scouts whilst moving at full speed and grinding what we came across. We were the top three damage dealers on our team, not bad considering it doesn't do 3 figures of damage a shot. Unfortunately the enemy arty took a shine to us and I was the only one to survive the battle, but that doesn't change it from being an ace round.

What a game, I know we heard the lamentations of the women and saw our enemies driven before us, but I reckon if I hadn't gotten bogged down behind the houses at the south bridge fighting that Marder 38T we'd have been even more effective, as I got split up from you and RSpetznas.
In other news, watching Quickybaby's 200k competition winner video has me wanting an E-50M. But could I live with the Panther and Panther II grinds? The Panther II in particular seems a right stheap.

The Panther is bloody dreadful. I hated every minute of it, it just doesn't do *anything* well. What a game, I know we heard the lamentations of the women and saw our enemies driven before us, but I reckon if I hadn't gotten bogged down behind the houses at the south bridge fighting that Marder 38T we'd have been even more effective, as I got split up from you and RSpetznas.

The Panther II on the other hand gets an awfully bad press, but it just clicked with me and it is one of my favourite tanks. I'll play it several times a day , I just find it a really fun one. Situational perhaps, but you get decent dpm, good accuracy, fair mobility, and a good hp pool. Despite all of the naysayers it's probably my third fave T8 medium after the Type 59 and T44. (Indien would be third, but it's cursed).
Don't be put off the P2, it really is a wonderful machine. Learn it and you will love it.

At the moment, I've just bought the tier 6 in the line, the tank before the Panther - the VK30.02M, had two games in the stock format and got trounced in both. Felt WOT fatigue developing rapidly, so I played a few more games in my FV207 and then switched off. I'm suffering a period of disillusionment and burnout with other lines, only playing arty gives me real enjoyment at the moment. I'll probably just grind out the Conqueror Gun Carriage and that will give me enough time to get excited about playing traditional tanks and TDs again. The Panther II on the other hand gets an awfully bad press, but it just clicked with me and it is one of my favourite tanks. I finally got the HT cap mission today, though I did get reported for capping instead of letting the other three remaining tanks kill an IS-3 with ~340. Which appeared in my reticle just as the cap counter hit 100% (I could have killed it with a single shot - T34).
NO CAP KILL ALL!

Well to be perfectly honest I don't know how you could sleep at night, denying them that last 5xp or so like that. I mean now they will never reach tier 10...Grats on getting it done the light tank one is easier as you can get to the cap quicker when someone else is capping.
Otto Carius died on Saturday

One of the few well know non Nazi German tank commanders of WW2
He refused Himmlers orders to join the Waffen SS

Ohh I love winding them up, I don't profess to being the best player ever and never will be (I just don't take it that seriously), but when somebody starts banging on about noobs this and retards that I just can't help myself. I start by suggesting that they should chill out because it’s just a game and if they take the bait I usually ask them what their favourite cheese is - that completely throws them most of the time.Grats on getting it done the light tank one is easier as you can get to the cap quicker when someone else is capping.

Any tips for the MT-9 mission I think it is, the "set an enemy on fire" one? I dont think I've ever intentionally set anyone on fire before, it happens so rarely!
Shoot the engine I guess. There are plenty of sites that list the thanks and where the greatest probability of causing a fire is. Next 3 tanks on the grinding list:
Arl V39 - reportedly crap, not played it yet but looks like a vacuum cleaner.
VK3001P - played a few, mostly stock but it has the super amazing tier 7 130 pen/220 alpha 88 which is just dire. Seems mediocre at best. At least I have most of the modules already unlocked from other lines. Hopefully it will improve with the top engine and turret.
Leopard PTA - looks great, and it's fast. Everything else is pretty garbage at the moment. It's like a masochists Centurion 7/1 - no armour, worse gun depression, worse accuracy, worse ROF, much worse aim time. The ammo rack seems to be made out of matchsticks too.
It's going to be a fun few weeks

Aiming at the right areas will help, but it's still a pretty low chance so just got to keep going until it happens. From what I can gather the best probability seems to be around tier 6, taking a fast firing medium as there are a lot of tanks that burn in those tiers - Nashorns / PZsfl's(engine- HE to the front), any of the KV / IS series tanks (fuel tanks & engine vulnerable, aim above the tracks in the rear half of the tank), Chinese t-34-1 very vulnerable to front hits, HE shells to Hellcats also work.
Just playing lots of games around this tier will probably do it, eventually, but focusing on it will send you bananas .

There is only one vacuum cleaner in WoT!

It took me a week to nail that mission. I did it eventually with the tier 5 Russian T-34. With the 57mm gun it fires every 1.9 seconds so repeated hits to the engine compartment eventually caused the fire I needed. After trying for a week I actually ended up with 2 fires in 2 games. The first fire, which secured the mission, set a Cromwell on fire. The second was a good old KV1. You can always depend on a KV1 to burn.
If you come across a KV1 get on his left side and aim at the hull just behind the turret. Hit that area repeatedly and it should burn with a little RNG in your favour.
Oddly enough I can't get them to burn if firing on the right side.

Cheers for the advice all. HE or AP out of interest for these "shots to the rear"
I believe it depends on the experience of the target. If they've been around the block a few times then HE is a better experience for all, other wise you will need AP. So im told. Actually I would just go with AP unless you are shooting at a tank you know HE will go through (like a hellcat or Nashorn or something). To get a fuel tank fire you need to destroy the fuel tank, a HE burst outside the tank probably won't do that even if it hits in the right area. An engine fire just needs the engine to be damaged, a HE burst could do that but AP will be a better choice mostly. Plus the best tanks to do this with will have low calibre guns, so the HE will be puny anyway.
