Another productive evening wrecking st with the boys, played through all of the Chi-To's packages in one sitting, just 50,000xp to grind out to upgrade to the Chi-Ri. At the rate I'm going, I expect I'll have that done by Saturday afternoon. I'm having a whale of a time getting back in the mediums after the arduous artillery grind, I've been knocking out High Calibre medals left, right and centre tonight. I also picked up a HC medal in the CGC in the sole match I played in it tonight, Erlenberg assault, with us attacking. Our team had cornered the enemies, and I landed a 2339 damage shot on an E-100, landed right on his rear deck just behind his turret. Boosh!

I don't like playing the same tank game after game. I'd rather take my time and just do the daily doubles. The only time I ground out a tank was for the last 30K XP on the Black Prince. This is probably the most boring tank in the game and I'd already sold it part way through once, for that reason. But I wanted rid of it and the tier 8 was reduced in price at the time.

Don't know about this. Do you remember playing the Churchill VII before the BP? Or was the trauma too much you have tried to forget. Other tanks I would give a shout to in the Dullsville rodeo are the Chi To and KV1 (possibly a controversial selection). By dull I don't necessarily mean bad though it could be a side effect. On the other hand some terrible tanks are quite likeable - everybody likes an M3... bandit

I didn't mind the Churchills because they were tough as hell. The Black Prince has a much longer grind as well. The KV-1S is much nicer to play than the KV-1 due to its mobility.

Anyway, another 8 kill loss:

I hadn't played the Pak 40 in a while. cool

Never had <too> many of those, thankfully. I saw a ARL V39 have a 10 kill loss, though. Other team, thankfully. smile

I'm playing through the Chi-To at the minute and I'm quite enjoying it, especially with the 155mm penetration. That said, it is big, has generally poor armour and is pretty sluggish for a medium. The gun and the gun depression make up for it though, imo.

I actually felt the urge to play my JPE-100 again, so I rolled that out earlier. A single match was enough for me, I'd forgotten how infuriatingly slow that thing is, even when faced with climbing a hill. The gun is made of pure lol though. I really must try to use it more, even if it is a fairly weak vehicle choice, all things considered.

Want to know how many trees you've knocked down with your tanks? driving

Just enter your WoT user name here and click the button that's helpfully labelled "Button" :

http://tiaclab.com/lumberjack/

I've flattened 7553 of them so far in 21K battles, which is quite a low ratio it seems.

I do try to avoid them though. A side effect of having played arty.

They were going to have a Lumberjack medal, which is why they count this sort of thing I guess.

No point having a tank if you can't run st over, that my motto (and probably why I don't own a tank) tank. God only knows how bad it will be when the new physics arrives, I'll be able to get 10 trees in one manoeuvre.

19,830 trees in 28,775.

M - If you like the Chi-To then everything improves after it. The Chi-Ri is another of those good "bad" tanks. The autoloader is great. Apart from accuracy, aim-time and pen. So nothing important as you will mostly be popping out of hard cover to slap somebody at mid/close range before retreating to reload. The gun is attached to a badly camouflaged, slow and poorly armoured platform. But somehow it all works quite well together. Sometimes...

Not enjoying the E-75 at the moment. All upgrades apart from the big gun. Everybody just spams gold at you. Loads of deflected damage but that's it. The IS8 however is seriously underrated.

lol - I hated the IS8 mainly because it kept coming up against E75's and couldn't do anything about them smile (this is pre-gold for silver)

Anyone else noticed a major uptick in players using gold rounds now the accuracy nerf has come in?

One the achievements in WOT 360 is called "This is World of Tanks", awarded to players for being the last tank alive on the team, probably named as such because it's meant to represent the tense, gritty fighting of WOT. However, "This is World of Tanks" has become something of an in-joke for many, and my platoon typically cite it when encountering the kind of bungling idiots you often run into playing this game, or when something ironic or tragically humorous occurs - like the match I've just been in; bottom tier medium, doing more damage than anyone other tank on my team, and taking more kills. This is WOT.

I must replace my earlier optimism about the Chi-Ri with utter despair at the thought of playing this stty brick for the next 100 or so matches. Apart from getting an autoloader and some extra health, it's effectively a bigger, slower Chi-To, I genuinely feel I'd be more a threat in a tier 9 game in the Chi-To, considering the penetration of the guns is identical.
