I've played this game on and off for a while but have got back into it recently in an attempt to stay away from Eve Online which is a bit too much of a time sink for what I can do currently. I love Eve and am a director in fairly successful corporation etc so am not a 12 year old computer noob
The problem I am finding is that random battles are doing my head in, I either do really well with a good team or get blown to bits with a bad team
I think I need to get involved in a 'clan' ? I've tried the team thing but it just seems to be random russians hanging around for hours doing nothing.
Please tell me there is a noob friendly PH clan

I know exactly what you mean. Never managed to get into EVE myself although on paper it should be right up my strasse. But between a full time job, being a director of a fairly mediocre company anhd my studies, it's just a pipe dream. Though Strongholds is a viable alternative for those short of time and is almost as much time. So if you want to stop doing your head in with random Russians, you should definitely do team battles or strongholds.
Couple of days ago was engaged in a one to one with a Hetzer with all the paint jobs etc, you get the picture.
Was getting the better of him until he decided to load gold and that was the end of me.
So in the next battle I was faced with a 3 to 1 fight and two of them happened to be Hetzer's ( yes revenge ).
Replay shows how many players underestimate an opponent when they are fighting in numbers and think as there are three of them it is going to be easy.
One of them could so easily have come in from behind me and that would have most probably been the end of me.

It is amazing how many teams don't capitalise on strength in numbers and attack lone enemies one at a time, a good few patches back I was in a tier 4 game driving a Matilda and left alone against 8 enemy tanks, the idiots just came at me in dribs and drabs so neutralised their advantage. Nice haul of medals that game.One of them could so easily have come in from behind me and that would have most probably been the end of me.

do you not have a teamspeak server?There seems to have been an epidemic of bush-pushers on the 360 lately, these are behaviours that I define as anything encompassing morons who push you out of bushes or cover because they don't see you, because they want to use the bush or they just want to troll you. I've had 4 very obvious examples in the last week of malicious pushing, and at least a few where some moron has bumped me and knocked my camo net off because they couldn't see the giant outline of my tank on their screen.

The pushers are right pricks, does xbox show your stats ?
On the pc game I think there are some players who cannot take it that someone else has better stats, they revert to being vindictive and there are plenty of them about in the game, all one has to do is watch the chat that goes on during the game.

If people wish to play strongholds or clan wars with VBRJ it just needs someone to step up and organise, I'll happily hand over the appropriate ranks.
