They seem to have a good system for artillery now. In the first version it was a straight copy of the stty WoT one.

WOT are now running a daily mission in May - each day you can win 10 gold for a win, 3 times. So 30 gold per day, for the whole month. Has to be tier 5+, and in top 10 xp, no other catches.

That Armored Warfare looks good.
Just given them £20-odd for the medium Founder's Pack... given the time I've spent on WoT, and this looks better, it's a bargain smile
If nothing else, they've implemented my more-xp-if-you-cap-when-lots-of-enemies-are-still-alive idea.

I miss WOT so much. I'm currently on Post Office broadband having moved out of my house due to getting divorced, waiting for Sky to be plumbed in. PO BB is averaging about 1mb/s download here, and cuts out constantly, so I've been unable to play WOT as I was disconnecting in every match.

I miss my platoon buddies, I miss the banter and I miss fking wrecking st with my CGC. frown

Also, gold and premium included in the bundle, so I'm guessing a similar set up to WoT. Since I've played lots of Wots, I don't mind paying a bit; although I mostly just play free these days; hopefully similar with AW, like I said, taken a punt... but not the "big" bundle...

If AW proves to be a big success, I'm wondering if it will force Wargaming to have a good look at their game mechanics and matchmaking. For years now their standard response to any criticism or suggestions has been 'working as intended', despite many comments from players who can obviously see that there is room for improvement. If AW starts pulling players away from WoT, maybe it will be the kick up the ar5e that WG needs to fix some of the issues the WoT still suffers from.

AW will be the death of WOT for sure. Even if the game play is exactly equal people will flock to AW because it's new and exciting with different maps and tanks. The chance for everyone to start off at level 1 and discover tanks for themself is exciting rather than fighting in tanks that everyone knows about and they know your strengths and weaknesses.
Thankfully I'm on the xbox version so I don't expect the servers to empty the same way the pic ones will.

If anything will grind me down and push me away from World of Tanks, it's the st maps. There is far too much emphasis on corridor and urban maps. They even manage to get corridors on non-urban maps.

I don't mind cover, I just had funnels on maps. They slow the gameplay and make it less progressive, favouring certain tanks and making it harder to play others. The new Overlord map looks like a step in the right direction, but they really need to change the meta.

Was really chuffed to see this bad boy today . We also randomly saw another PHer there (well, he had a PH t-shirt on at any rate). The museum is definitely worth a visit if you're in the area - I hadn't realised until we got there that Wargaming have donated money to the museum too smile

I've only returned to this game in the past 6 weeks or so, after a break going back to the early part of last year.

Has the game been seriously nerfed while I have been absent? I only play Tier 1 and 2 , and it certainly seems like the XP and credits earnings have been radically downgraded.

Has the rest of the game been so treated? The amount of people I come across in T1/2 (a lot) that have 10000 games and more under their belts certainly makes me think that.

I play a lot of T2 games, its called seal clubbing, we target the new players and batter them smile

Not sure on the nerfed tanks. my T18 is still the same as always, XP is still the same, I think

Nothing new concerning seal clubbing, 'tis always been so. Just that the xp and credits I gain seem to have diminished considerably, plus of course, being thrown into a T2 game when in a T1 tank now seems to be the vast majority of the time.

Perhaps I'm wrong, but certainly in the case of the Traktor it seems that way to me.
