I play a lot of T2 games, its called seal clubbing, we target the new players and batter them smile
Not sure on the nerfed tanks. my T18 is still the same as always, XP is still the same, I think
Nothing new concerning seal clubbing, 'tis always been so. Just that the xp and credits I gain seem to have diminished considerably, plus of course, being thrown into a T2 game when in a T1 tank now seems to be the vast majority of the time.

Perhaps I'm wrong, but certainly in the case of the Traktor it seems that way to me.
Lack of T1 tankers I guess, so you get lumped in T2 games, I often get stuck in T3 games with my T18.
Xp seems the same to me

The last patch brought a change to low tier matchmaking. Accounts with more than 2500 games (iirc) are now subject to restricted matchmaking in tiers 1 and 2, meaning you wont see the complete newbies accounts.

Some people on the WOT forums are complaining it has adversely affected queue times and getting bottom tier more often. Whether they also changed the xp / cash side I don't know, but it's possible.

Now thats interesting. Would explain a lot to me. Presumably WOT have decided to curtail higher tier players popping down to T1 to help fund their higher tier vehicles. Expensive as they are.

As said, I'm pretty certain the credits/xp rewards have been screwed down, mind you, if I'm consistently playing players on average more highly experienced than before it may be giving me that impression. Although again, I tend to be in the top 3 of a game, but relatively meagre reward from memory.

As for wait times, yes, most definitely longer, since update, but not really bothering me.

Never mind, doubt shall be playing it much longer, I was hacked off after they nerfed the SU26 , after I'd spent time and aggravatingly money on getting it tidy, only for them to make it all but usless. They will never catch me that way again.

Do you have a source for this, such as from FTR or elsewhere?

Its referred to in the important changes section of the patch notes. I was wrong, it affects up to tier 3 too. The specific rules were discussed on variuos blogs and the website. If i find them again i'll link them but the 2500 figure was referenced frequently.

The queue problems most likely occur later at night when there are insufficient players available in those tiers with >2500 played.

It's turned out great for the cruiser II with derp, against total newbs you'd sometimes get overrun by yoloing players when reloading, the experienced tend to be more cautious and that gives you time to find cover.

Given that the earnings were and always have been slim at the lower tiers, with tiers 5-7 generally regarded as the highest earners for most players, your excuse of using the lower tiers to fund high tier vehicles doesn't wash wink

If you really want to fund high tier vehicles with lower tier games, either because you don't have a premium account, or you're not doing enough damage or winning enough to make the high tiers sustainable, try tier 6, imo it's the sweet spot for non-premium silver earning.

bloody RNG

smashed the cupola of a Tiger 2 with 4 shots from my 704's BL10, they all hit, they all bounced

WTF ?

And I was above him and only a 100 meters away.

all of his rounds went through me, also my platoon mate in his IS-8 couldn't pen him either.

This is when you know when RNG has predetermined "You will loose this match and there is nothing you can do about it"

I seal club most days I play, and I never get new players in the team or if I do its only 1 or 2, its been like that for ages.

Considering that there are plenty of players on this thread who have funded as I mentioned, its no excuse on my part.

I'm not one of them , btw, I found that going up tier, was no more fun than staying at T1 and 2 , plus if anything, the childishness exhibited by players up the tiers was often worse than the low tiers.

So, the bottom tiers is where I've stayed, cheaper, less hassle and just as much fun.

Tiger 2 cupola is actually pretty tough - much more armoured than the E75's. Generally its better to shoot the tank anywhere else first, if you can.

I know what you mean about "those" games though, does feel that way sometimes.

The more rounded stock turret on the Tiger 2 isn't very good. You can shoot it right in the face and it'll go through.

That would be the Porsche turret. It has a massive shot trap under the mantel, you can deflect rounds down into the thin top armour and cause quite a bit of damage.

I have a new toy!

It's jolly good. Decided I would like a British premium medium long ago, and with the release of the Cromwell B today, thought that would be the long awaited thing. I totally recommend it, it feels almost better than the standard elited tank, to me - mobility is fantastic, improved even on a Cromwell! It looks pretty slick, too. Also something I wasn't aware of beforehand, is that you get a crew with it (I thought it was just the tank), and they all have BIA from the off, and training the 'second' skill takes only the same time as a first skill would ordinarily - bonus. Oh, and until the 19th there is 5x crew training in these tanks. 9.8k crew xp for this game below.
It took me several games to get one good enough to get the Ace Tanker (standard random teams at work), but here is my first one. 2.8k damage, Confederate, High Caliber.

Thoroughly recommended!

I like my cromwel, elited, not convinced of moving on up.

Hopefully get shot of the t-150 tonight and get a kv-3.

Cant say I have loved it. Biggest issue for me has been the guns. Top gun is really very slow to aim and is unreliable even in brawling situations. the t5 fast gun was ok but didnt do enough damage. have lots unlocked for the kv-3 already so that should be nice

The KV-3 is like a battleship. Slow, but really tough. A very underrated tank.
