Concentrate firstly on not getting shot. Learn how to use cover to minimise your exposure to fire. Try to think of it like playing a FPS with human character, like Battlefield, rather than thinking "I'm in an armoured tank, impervious to puny projectiles". 90% of the low tier tanks don't have armour worth sI keep lasting 5 mins then dying

t. They may as well be built from cardboard. If you are getting hit, move. If you are expsoing your tank to the enemy, you are going to die, very quickly.Once you have the hang of not getting killed in the first few mins, try to think about how to attack the enemy. If you slug it out with them tank to tank, you are obviously going to get hit by them. So try to get into positions where you can attack their flank or better still, from behind. Any position where their gun isn't pointed at you, is a good position to attack from. And don't get greedy. Once you've shot them a couple of times, they are going to turn their turret on you. Now is the time to get back in cover, not sit there waiting for them to line up a shot.

Glaciers plate (the bottom half of the tanks hull)
Vision Slits/MG mounts
Cupola (the commanders vision slits on the turret)
You should be able to do some damage with that. If that fails switch to HE and track them, you can then either run or try and flank them.
What a miserable load of st WOT is tonight, played 12 games, only top tier twice. Everything tonight was utter st, the teams were st, the RNG was st and I was playing terribly. It felt like every position I found I ended up compromised quickly and just got hammered in every match. Some days it's better to just turn it off.

When the game starts hide your tank near the spawn and go get a coffee/p*ss/count to 100. When you've finished sweep in and carry to a win.t WOT is tonight, played 12 games, only top tier twice. I've been playing the IS-7 a bit, having some decent success not reflected by a terrible win rate in it. I feel this is a strong tank, possible even a great tank, but it's deeply saddening that when you get to tier 10, the standard of gameplay is still just as bad as it is at lower tiers. I lel a little when I see "elite" players on the WOT forums talking about how they take breaks from tier 10 and play lower tiers for easy wins. Year, at tier 2 maybe, but between tier 6-10 I really see little to no improvement in playing standards.
Just got clipped from full health by a waffle. Tell me this st isn't fking broken. Sort of wondering why I'm even bothering at the moment. I think I'll be playing less and less until the Xbox One version comes out, by which point I'll hopefully feel invigorated enough to play for more than an hour at a time. I have no real intention to grind anything at the moment, when my premium time runs out in 18 days I probably won't renew until the Xbox one version, and even then I might not bother. In the mean time, I'll just be playing my Löwe, T34, Super Pershing and AT-15A for fun.
The waffle just needs to go. I know it's due for replacement on the PC, and therefore probably also on the xbox, it just can't come fast enough. I know there are always apologists saying "it's really hard to play, it's super vulnerable" etc, but a TD that can clip almost any tank in the game and get into cover again is just completely and totally broken. Good luck going one on one with a waffle - it might have no armour on the gun shield, but with 2000 hit points you'll be dead before you even get your second shot off, and the waffle driver will just be laughing at you. It's sort of the same story with the waffle IV, a supposed "glass cannon", yet one that imo has far more hitpoints than it should have to be balanced. I've seen waffle IVs playing like clumsy mediums, using their rather generous hitpoint point as armour - which is exactly what waffle drivers too. With the tiet 10 waffle 1000 hit points and let them keep their stupid gun, then see if they feel so brazen about sitting out, fully clipping a tank and using their hit points to absorb fire while they do it.

I know, I know, Waffle drivers live to cause rage. I tend to play my CGC to rebalance things, one-shotting waffles in cover is a thrill that never gets any less amazing.
I'm having a terrible run in my IS-7, I feel absolutely hopeless. I won one last night in it, thinking "yeah this will be a good tank", then I've lost 9 in a row in it tonight. You'd think that if I removed myself from the equation, the rest of my team could pull off a win at least some of the time, but it's not to bed. I've had a few amazing games, and one or two rubbish ones, but mostly they've been solid multi kill games with 2500+ damage, 5000+ High Calibres on the good ones. Every match I've been in so far, my team have just melted away and I've been left trying to carry against 9 or 10 enemies.
It's funny that in the IS-8, which I never rated, I managed something like a 57% win rate over about 200 matches, yet in the IS-7 it seems I couldn't buy a win.
Oh well, I'll just play the Löwe I suppose, if I'm going to be cursed with failteams and get smashed into the grit match after match I may as well get paid well for it.

The thing I don't understand are the people who still at T9/10 don't have fire extinguishers in the German cookers. I know some of the Russian stuff burns well but I find it far too amusing in my T95 to hit an E75/E100, set it on fire with the first hit and watch their health disappear as it burns away.
To add to the waffle hate, I too loathe them as any normal person would. If I can get some decent hits I can kill them in two shots, however by the time I've loaded a second shell they've normally circled all the way around me, tracked me and then emptied their clip into my engine .:/
