It normally sits in their post war area, they have had it running for tankfest in the past (not seen it tho)

I need to see this thing. I need to get down there in general, tbh. Shame I won't make tankfest this year, I'd have liked to meet QB, even briefly.

Its sign-posted for miles around and everyone has sat-nav!!! Not only that but Monkey World is next door which is sign posted from the next county! :-)
Not everyone has in car sat nav. I don't. I only live 60 miles away in Devon, have been several times and it can still be a bugger to find. It's signposted on the Dorchester bypass, but then you're in anonymous windy Dorset lanes for miles. Last time I went, as a passenger, we ended up near Tolpuddle (or martyrs infamy) & I had to dig out the GPS maps on my phone to find the way.

Anyone in the area should probably check out Cloud's Hill, which was T.E. Lawrence's house & now a National Trust property. He was badly injured in a motorbike crash nearby (in said stty lanes) and died in the army hospital at Bovington Camp.

I am so there.

I've been grinding the GwPanther again tonight, what a top little arty this is - even if the RNG has been seriously hating me tonight. I'm really only playing through it to get a GwTigerP for the garage, I want the 21cm Morser cannon for that, then I may or may not bother upgrading to a GwTiger. Alternatively I may unlock the S-51 and play through that to get an SU-14-2, just because it looks like some crazy Mad Max thing with a 203mm gun poking out the front. I want to have a collection of all the top troll cannons to sit alongside the Conqueror Gun Carriage.

Both the SU-14-2 and the GwTiger(P) have the same issues. They're virtually immobile, and have virtually no firing arc. The top gun on both allows for an occasional impressive one-shotting of someone who'll then whine like a biatch, but this doesn't really make up for the grind on them.

I've not got the top gun on the GwTiger(P) yet, but it's clear its going to be similar in concept to the SU, which I've elited. Both are much harder to play than the GwPanther.

No depression on either, making it virtually impossible to defend yourself, too.

This could be a daft question, but its sure puzzled me.

Last night, was on the winning team in a T1/T2 game with MS-1 . The status and statistics box come up at the game end, as always, but under the vehicle status window (in this case I'd survied) in the otherwise blank bottom 3/4 of the box it stated (verbatim) " No progress in misions vehicle research and crew training" (my parenthesis)

Can anyone explain what it means? Game was a random battle. Cannot recall seeing a message like that with my other tanks, Traktor, T1, etc.

Anyone?

Yeah, that box has been there since they implemented the missions thing a while back. For example if you have a mission where you need to win 10 games to get something, then after a win in that box would be a description and progress indicator. The fact it was blank just means the battle result you had didn't qualify you for any missions that are running smile

For example:

Ah ok, from that then, the message is specific to missions only? So when it mentions "No Progress....... In crew training" it means crew training in relation to missions only, and that my crew will have still received some of the XP I'd earned to raise their training status, Camoflage , firefighting, etc?

Yep, its only talking about the missions. You can see the crew xp earned on the details tab I think.

If your crew are close to 100% on a skill or if you are close to eliting a tank you also get a message about that. No message for normal xp though.

I know they're absolute rotters - I even said to my platoon mates at the outset that I was only getting the GwTigerP to look at it, and if I played it occasionally it would be a bonus hehe

The GwPanther is a bit redundant in my garage, although it's one of the strongest tier for tier SPGs in the game. I have a Conqueror Gun Carriage for high tier, huge damage fun, and a lefh18B2 for mid tier, high precision rapid fire barrages.

I played 4 games last night for the first time in about 3 months. I didn't play patch 9.7 at all.

1) T54E1 - 4 kills, the most damage in a tier x game. Lost.
2) T54E1 - 0 kills, 0 damage. Won. Opposition roflstomped so hard, all I had was 2 shots at tanks poking out from cover.
3) T30 - 4 kills, most damage. Lost - Team collapsed.
4) T30 - 6 kills, most damage. Won - A closer game at last.

Nothing ever changes when it comes to teams. yuck

Playing tanks after playing World of Warships is a bit weird. The 18 second reload of the T30 seems positively rapid after the 30 second reload of a battleship. Plus the tanks seem quite small. It does look very nice though. I'll give them that.

I must admit i have a fully upgraded SU-14-2 and i like it! Yes its slow but if you are patient you can wreak havoc, you get a lot of insults when blowing people up hehe
