World of Tanks (Vol 2)

Has anyone managed to do the Medium tank mission for killing 2 TDs and surviving the game? If so what tier did you do it in?
Most of my match ups I seem to only face 1 or 2 TDs at Tier 8 and at Tier 6 my firefly is to slow to kill more than one before the team finish the other one off

I'm an Xbox player so thankfully don't have these missions for now. Most of my match ups I seem to only face 1 or 2 TDs at Tier 8 and at Tier 6 my firefly is to slow to kill more than one before the team finish the other one off
I'd do it at tier 5, use an M4 Sherman with the derp gun, look for open top TDs and fking wreck them. From tier 3-5 there are loads, so if you get a top tier match just get in deep and hard.

I nailed the 2 TDs at tier 5 with the T-25 German medium, but didn't survive. Most of my match ups I seem to only face 1 or 2 TDs at Tier 8 and at Tier 6 my firefly is to slow to kill more than one before the team finish the other one off
I've restarted it to fulfil the 2nd part.

Ayup chaps
Just logged in to play the normal Traktor/MS-1 tier 1 fest , and there are 3 tier x tanks in me garage.
Namely AMX50B (D) , T110ES (D) , and Object 140 (D) .
Anyone knows whats afoot?I certainly did not buy them. Anyhow, whats the (D) mullarkey?
You'll keep the crews once the Domination Event ends at the end of June. They'll be transferred to the following regular tanks:Just logged in to play the normal Traktor/MS-1 tier 1 fest , and there are 3 tier x tanks in me garage.

Object 140 (D) –> Object 140
T110E5 (D) –> T110E5
Surprising I know.
They'll be given temporary bunks that'll disappear once you transfer the crew to a tank.
Remember to tick the "accelerate crew training" option, or the XP will be transferred to the tier 1s of the relevant nation.
You can add consumables and equipment. They'll be uninstalled for free & sent back to the depot at the end of the event.

I find the specific ones like that, that aren't damage related, to be easiest at the lowest tier possible. If I remember rightly I did it in the M4 sherman with the derp gun. It makes a nice mess of thin armoured TD's - a lot of the tier 4 and 5 ones are one shot kills for it. Just then got to wait for a matchup with enough TD's to make it possible. Most of my match ups I seem to only face 1 or 2 TDs at Tier 8 and at Tier 6 my firefly is to slow to kill more than one before the team finish the other one off
Edit: works just as well with the PZIVH with the 105mm also, and possibly the sherman 3 if it has a derp.

Purchased my Panzer III/IV again and it seems tier V is the sweet spot, so many TDs in the match up sadly I kept getting alpha'd before I had a chance to kill more than one lol.Edit: works just as well with the PZIVH with the 105mm also, and possibly the sherman 3 if it has a derp.

Yep, I had a tool around on the Domination matches myself last night. How do the (D) versions compare to the "real" T10's, as I now want an Obj140!
I don't have a 50B but I do have an E5 and an Obj140 and the Domination variants are essentially the same.As for the Domination mode. It is ok for some yoloing nonsense and a change of pace but there is little incentive for me to play it for an extended time. There is not enough credits nor xp earned nor any missions to entice me to keep playing.
You do get to keep the crews after the event ends but even that doesn't really tempt me into playing it to grind their skills, and you can't use other crews in them like you can with premium or reward tanks without retraining them.
WG are aware that the economy isn't correctly balanced and are looking at it. Maybe once they tweak it I will give it another try.

Yes- I hope they do because a quick test of it early saw me loose 40K credits in about 20minutes- yikes!I like the idea of training up some crews though, they seemed to gain alot of experience quickly but maybe t10 is like that?
I can't speak for the domination mode, but tier 10 crew xp increase is the same as all other tiers. If domination seems faster then worth doing if you need the crews - when they did the winter 8 bit game event the crew xp was much faster than normal, so perhaps it is used as an incentive to play the mode.
When I saw the QB video of Domination mode I just thought it looked st, with respawns, where is the incentive to play carefully? It will be more YOLO than ever. The battle to survive, protecting your hitpoints etc, is key to WOT gameplay because once you're out that is it. The Domination gameplay looked like crappy War Thunder gameplay.

That's entirely the point, it's arcade mode for a laugh.I had some great games with my platoon last night, with fellow PHer Z06George getting his first tier 10, the T110E3, quite an achievement considering he has probably only had 10 days of premium since the game started. He had it researched ages ago - no mean feat on a regular account, but getting the money together delayed him, but he bought it last night. What a machine, and what a great vehicle to have as a first tier 10, especially as it was buffed on the Xbox for some reason, as if it needed buffs! The frontal armour is simply incredible. We played tier 10, with me in the CGC, George in his shiny new T110E3 and our mate in his Centurion 7/1, winning all 8 of the games we played together.
My CGC never really seemed to hit the boil, at times struggling to really do significant damage, and in 2 games getting wrecked by aggressive goon rush tactics, but I did get some good shots in, including a 2319 damage dinger through the front of a T110E5, nearly a one-shot. Not the highest roll I've ever had, that was a 2450 damage roll on an FV215b.
I did get my UK expert medal when I killed a rival CGC, we both met head, fired and both missed, and ended up pushing each other around like sumo wrestlers for the next forty seconds. Sadly for him, my crew was better than his and I have a gun rammer equipped (naturally), but knowing that a face-to-face shot would kill us both, I pushed him and right as the gun reloaded, pulled back and fired, sending him back to the garage. I thought I'd killed a CGC previously, but obviously not. I'm trying to recall ever killing an FV215b or an FV4202, but they've obviously been done at some point in my 7000 or so games.

I love my T110E3, second game in it 75% crew and no equipment and I got 4 kills. I wonder if I'll play it enough for the crew to be better than my T95 crew or even my T25AT crew, only time will tell. Whilst it has fantastic damage and amour I'm just happy being able to do more than 14 kph!
GwTiger P is in the garage, it's pretty damn awful. The gun traverse range is absolutely horrible. The 7.5 second aim time feels like 15 seconds as the hull has to be constantly repositioned, and by the time you're fully aimed the target has driven out of your pathetically slim targeting range. The 170mm gun doesn't even feel like big improvement over the 150mm the GwPanther had. I suspect things will improve on the damage front with the 210mm gun, but the total lack of flexibility will remain. Oh well, I only bought it as an ornament, an ornament it may well remain.
