Don't get that much opportunity to play at the moment, but platooning could balance out some of the silly rng/mm issues at the mo.

That was me byebye - glad you decided to join up, and yes platooning and such does make a difference sometimes. Best bet for getting a platoon is just to ask in the clan chat window that you will get - hopefully someone will toon up. I'm not really on much at the moment but will do so if I'm on.

I've not lost a game all night, some of the matches felt a bit dry on the damage front but I came in the top 3 in most games. One match I blocked 5600 damage in the VK45.02B and didn't take any damage, what a laugh. I'm going to get seriously rebalanced by the RNG soon!

I also got my first mark of excellence on the VK45.02B, talk about an easy grind. 125,000xp to go to unlock the Maus, hardly a chore when it's such a good tank.

I've been playing the T71 a bit recently and that's quite a fun tank. I got my first gun mark on it yesterday & I just need to do the final light tank mission (4K damage) for the Stug now. A nice tier 10 game on Prokorovka with arty should hopefully do it. Which is why Prokorovka isn't in the map rotation of course.

I also re-bought the French tier 6 light, the AMX 12t, for the LOLs. I'd played it before ages ago and unlocked the AMX 13 75, but stopped there. I'll unlock the tier 6 arty this time to elite it.

I've gone with a 100% premium (APCR) loadout on it this time, as the standard rounds are utter trash. It's not a bad tank actually. A tiny terror, like the T71 really. The AMX 13 75 actually has the same gun, but a quicker reload and other stats.

A little tip for using bushes is to sit to the side of them. One a spotted tank's 6th sense goes off, they are sometimes tempted to blind fire likely bushes. They'll always aim for the middle of the bush though.

silly Heheheee....

The Russian ST-I is the same. A very easy tank to play. I'll not bother with the tier 10 though. Tier 10 games are utterly team dependent - i.e. crap.

The E-75 on the other hand... I lack the top tracks, so like all stock tier 9s, you get put in retard teams to make you pay real money to "Quickybaby" it. I'll reserve my opinion on it until it's elited. The problem I foresee, is that like IS-3s, they're as common as muck and everyone knows how to counter them.

I love the T71. Probably like it as much as the Bulldog.

I hate the 12t though. To me it's as bad as the T71 is good. I've found I have to adopt a totally different playing style as it just isn't agile enough to be a true frontline scout. I've found it performs better for me at finishing things off towards the end of a game.

I'm only really playing it to get to the 13 90. Once I've researched the 13 75 (which sounds crap too) it'll be sold immediately.

I've also just got myself a Centurion (quite enjoyed the Comet, though the peashooter gun got annoying after a while). The Centurion top gun is brilliant, and it has a pretty tough turret too.

Considering the AMX 12t is a tier lower than the T71, it's fine. I'll concede that any gun you need to fire premium all the time is rubbish, but with 202 mm penetration of fast moving APCR, it becomes better than the T71's.

I'm not big on active scouting anyway. It'll get you killed if you run into a strong force or take a couple of lucky shots. I'd rather find a good bush and watch the enemy collectively mess themselves when their 6th sense starts kicking off. Later on it'll be time to move up or go finish off low health tanks. I recently got an Orlik's medal for finishing off 3 tier 8 tanks (Centurion, Lowe & Caernarvon) - one of those was with regular ammo.

I detested the Comet and the unusually long grind to the tier 8 just added insult to injury. The Centurion 1 was very uninspiring I thought; It's soft and as big as an IS-7. I will re-buy it at some point and play it again though.

I've recently elited the Centurion 7/1, but I'll hang on to it for now. When they made it HD, they nerfed the frontal turret armour, so it's worse than the tier 8 now. The gun sometimes seems to troll me with bounces and the reload is poor. It doesn't have a real premium round either as HESH is just glorified HE.

Against tier 9 & 10 mediums it has no chance at close range. They can just out DPM you easily. It's not a great flanker due to its size, reload speed and terrible armour. It's best as a support tank for your heavies, popping up to take opportunist pot shots & tracking people who are reloading or distracted.

Do you play your 12t with a lot of gold ammo then? What split between gold and 'normal'?

Doesn't the 12t have a pretty low ammo load anyway? I haven't played it in a while, since doing the LT missions, but from what I remember I was often getting close to running out in it.

Agree it's not a good active scout though, I remember getting in a close situation with a Panther 2 where you would normally expect a tier 6 LT to have a mobility / agility advantage, and I just couldn't get away from him. It's just too underpowered to be anything other than passive scout early then hovering up stragglers later on.

Yes it only holds 30 rounds. Half what the T71 does.

100% premium rounds now.

I first tried it with regular ammo, but with only 144 average pen I was bouncing all the time. I then mixed it up, but it's just a false economy as you get the most credits for causing damage & killing stuff.

I probably still lose money each game, but less than 10K, so acceptable.

My crew was transferred from TDs (8bit mode at Christmas), so they're not 100% yet. They're about 91% after starting them at 80%. I do have 6th sense and some camo though. The driver has clutch braking, which makes it more manoeuvrable than it would otherwise be. You wouldn't normally want this on a light tank as it make them overly twitchy to drive.

I find the same with the E-100 and 150mm, I keep a couple of HE rounds for arty (seldom get that far accross in the big lumbering beast but they are there just in case).

The re-load times mean it is pointless carrying any AP ammo for lower tier targets so I stick with HEAT, I don't mind spending the extra credits on the E-100 as its more of a prize tank that gets a low amount of battle time rather than a mid tier grinder that gets played far more often.

Patch 9.9 is so buggy still. It crashes to desktop during the countdown every 5 or 6 games.

If I change from full screen to windowed it crashes the graphics driver & I have to kill the game and restart.

Anyone else having issues? If so what graphics card are you using? Mine is an ATI 5870 on Windows 8.1

If I click a link in game without a browser already open I get both screens black, sound from game on a loop and no way of killing tasks except a hard reboot

Also 8.1, running a 970 gtx

Great effort!

The only Radley-Walters medal I've got so far is on my Jagdtiger. Can't see me repeating it soon going on current form.
