For the same tank? Wow our cups runneth over. Can't imagine too many people rushing for that - at least make it for a KV5 or panther 88 or something that hasn't been on offer before like this. It just seems somehow cheap - I know they don't have to do anything, but if you are gonna do something at least put some effort into it.

Meanwhile on the US server you have the option to get 4 rare tanks, two of which were the e25 and some odd type 59 hybrid thing.

Yes, the WoT EU forums have 16 pages so far of basically the same sentiment. Wagaming EU really do seem to walk into these things.

Earlier this year you just had to log into the US server 60 times to get the SU100Y boxtank. You didn't need to play one game and you got credits and equipment at various stages as well.

Update 9.10 is out on Wednesday for the EU server. Bye bye Province map, hello Japanese heavies.

Well, my ascension to the pantheon of greats is secure, I've just had a match that would have gotten me on Quickybaby's channel if I could have recorded it.

Ensk encounter, top tier in my trusted 112, with a basic crew having only sixth sense and BIA at present. My platoon mate Rich is in the S-51 arty, his life will be short and painful. We spawn north, I immediately make a dash for the town. Rich complains that our team will abandon him and he will die. A Centurion rushes our spawn and quickly kills Rich like any arty on Ensk, and our team stop in their tracks, huddled in the north end of the map, trying to kill the Centurion. Eventually they succeed, but they are getting absolutely battered. I find nothing in the town, save for a Jagdpanzer IV at the south end of heavy corridor. I shoot him, ram him and push him round 90 degrees so he can't shoot me, and I put another round into him. My first kill, at which point I see my team is collapsing with incredible pace, we'll never win, the enemy will cap us out in no time. The safety is off, I YOLO, I'll earn as much silver as I can before I'm swarmed or capped out. That's why I'm playing the 112, purely to earn silver. Little do I know the greatest performance of my life is afoot

I reach the train tracks, finding the side of a VK45.02A. Two shoots into him and he dies. I turn the turret and find a two man arty platoon, an M12 and a GwPanther. I kill the M12, the GwPanther panic fires and misses, and turns to run, I kill him as he darts for cover. Crossing the tracks, I round the building in the bottom right corner of the map and charge a T-28 Prototype, juking right past his gun, he tries to turn but my enormous Chinese beast - no nimble fencer it must be said, is too fast for him, and I finish him. There are now two of us left, myself and T-44 who has full health but has so far done no damage. He races for the enemy cap and I enter the courtyard area at G/H8. As the enemy pick him apart and he dies I ready for the swarm. I take two more kills, bouncing shots and shooting under the train carriages to hit my targets, laughing as I collect a Top Gun and then a Devastator. I joke to my mate, saying "Watch this, I'll get a Radley's".

More shots lands, I take more kills, claiming an IS and a VK.36H. On 9 kills now, I exclaim "This is it, this is my Pool's moment". A Tiger II is now ramming me frontally and repeatedly shooting my turret, failing to pen, and an AMX 12T is shooting HE at my rear, every single shot chipping away at my health - he must have thought he could pen for big damage hits but it seems he cannot. I shoot over the shoulder of the Tiger II in front of me, killing a tank behind him, than back away, angle and turn to fight the AMX. As the gun loads, the AMX is trying to run, but no luck for him, as I shoot a 122mm shell through his back wheel and kill him. Now I'm starting to shake as adrenaline takes over - "This is it, I'm taking a Kolobanov's!" I shout.

It's just me and the Tiger II now, face to face. I don't know if I can reliably hit his turret as he is moving around, so I load the "carry rounds", HEAT with 250mm pen - I'm going to go right through his turret front. But he stops shooting, I wiggle my turret as I load, then he pulls away to run - he would later say in a message that he was out of ammo, and as soon as the AMX died he knew his chance to win went with. As he tries to escape, the HEAT rounds rip into him, killing him in 3 hits as he blindly scrambles for the exit. Game over, 12 kills.

The list is impressive, but included the following awards: Hand of God, Duelist, Shell Proof, Fighter and Bruiser, and the medals - High Calibre, Ace Tanker, Pool's, Devastator, Kolobanov's, Crucial Contribution (gifted to my mate who got no kills and was first to die) Top Gun and Steel Wall.

The tension was incredible, but I picked my shots really well in the end game to take out tanks in order of threat, ensuring that the faster tanks couldn't break out to flank round and using my insane facehug ability to neutralise the Tiger II until he ran out of ammo, while I killed his allies around him.

Safe to say, I'll probably never have a game like that ever again. This was huge, a display of dominant, aggressive brawling tactics from an often underrated tank. I got a load of PMs after the game giving congratulations, from allies and enemies alike. Obviously, I'm pretty pleased with myself.

Very impressive. More medals that your average North Korean general too.

I bet you were shaking a bit after that adrenalin rush. wink

Wow, amazing! Safe to say I don't think I'll ever have a 12 kill game.

I hope you've printed it out and are considering framing it in your 'WOT' den!

I think they do run it around the track occasionally . It was probably in the maintenance building, which is normally off limits.

Dunno - maybe loaned out to another museum perhaps? Certainly not in the main building and we also looked in the Conservation Building, where they store everything not currently on display and not there either. Could be under maintenance somewhere off site I guess.

Why the sarky comment?

Do you play WOT? If you do you'll know what a fantastic (and rare) achievement that is.

I didn't see that as sarky personally.

Anyhoo, I'd avoid the game for a few days if I were you. New patch = epic fail teams.

They've ruined the looks of the T71 as well. mad

GG Mastodon, those big carry games (and the feeling of relief afterwards) are pretty much the best thing about WOT. Certainly looks like you have gotten to grips with the 112.

Patching now, have a feeling not going to like the T71 new look much.

There's some weird ranks missions thing happening over the September weekends on PC, each giving 150 gold when completed. Doing all 4 weekends = 600gold and some xp bonuses for the whole of October or something (on German tanks). No details what the missions are, if they follow recent trends they'll be some ridiculous amount of xp / win type things, but sounds interesting at least.

Terrible. Such a shame. nono

Supposedly it's to be historically accurate. Although about 95% of the tanks in the game never left the back of a fag packet.

The original version had Detroit Arsenal's prototype turret on a Cadillac prototype chassis. The new one is the complete Detroit Arsenal design, although it never got further than a wooden mock up in reality.

Well to be fair it has a pike now, so at least you will bounce some shots. I mean it's got to be what, 45mm effective?

That's gonna take some getting used to that's for sure.

I think it looks pretty good - but is it just me, or is it taller? I bloody hate T-71s, bane of my life. They seem to be like the French lights, but better in every way!

I just played my 112 for the first time since I got my Pools in it, first game in it this evening was a High Calibre, and I got my first mark of excellence on it. It's a shame the Chinese marks are those little stars, nowhere near as clearly identifiable as the barrel stripes on German and British tanks.
