I think something else which isn't helping at the moment is the 135000 XP\135 kill missions.

It just results in a shark feeding frenzy and, IMHO, the standard of games has really gone down noticeably.

The sooner the sodding missions finish the better!

You don't have to join anything. If you go into the settings you can disable the ability to be asked. Some people want to be in a platoon to help them complete some of the missions, as platoon damage goes towards their goal. If you're getting asked a lot it probably means you're a decent player and they can see that via a mod called XVM. If you didn't know, this usually shows all the players win rates and other stats.

irked I have indeed just rage quit and uninstalled the game. 60 games played and only 14 wins. No kidding. How much BS do you take before you finally say enough is enough? JgT 88 is a decent tank fire power wise but everyone just fires gold at you and arty can 1 shot you. Gave up with that for tonight and went down to the lower tiers, Cruiser 3, FCM, SU, Hellcat but despite consistently doing decent damage and kills I just had tomato teams all night and mostly bottom tier yet again. Had 10 kills in FCM on Ruinberg, they had an SU85 left which hadn't been seen at all and it was me and a ChiHa left. Time was getting short so I said to ChiHa follow me and cap - he needed to be on cap with me to win. So I tell him this and what does he do? Goes all the way across the top road at a leisurely pace instead of following me along the middle road. Needless the say the SU was nowhere to be seen and the ChiHa just sat in the top corner and we drew. mad

Then an E25 game on Malinovka, south spawn, 3 arty a side. Rushed the bush on the edge of the centre field in the river bed to light up their entire base and did so. Arty then complaining and told me to go up to windmill on hill and spot. Ignored him then a few seconds later he 1 shots me "I SAID GO HILL, NOW YOU DIE!".

Just what is the fking point of this game? banghead
This game from a few days ago:

The game came down to my AMX 12t, another light tank & our AMX 50 100 vs a tier 7 Chi Ri.

The light tank was not a good player, but to be fair he had finally killed the enemy arty and another tank. He didn't really have a clue though.

The AMX 50 100 was a 50% win rate player and had 2 kills, but was on low heath. He'd had plenty of time to be loaded when I went in, located and attacked the Chi Ri. I put my full clip into him and brought his health down from 70-something to only 6% before he got me. I was fully expecting the AMX, who was right above us, to lean over the hill and finish the Chi-Ri off to end the game. One single hit while I was engaging him would have done it and saved me as well.

No. Instead he clears off to the enemy cap and starts dithering around there. He doesn't even start capping straight away. I was trying to get him to understand he doesn't have time, he needs to kill the Chi Ri. He whined that he was low health himself and refused to move. fking idiot. So that's why that game was a draw. It was my last AMX 12t game too.

Beati - Have you had any players ask what VBRJ stands for yet?

4th game, stock gun, 75% crew.

You will notice it's only a 2nd class mastery. This thing is absurd.

Wargaming have lost the plot with these tanks. There's literally nothing most tier 3-5 tanks can do about them, whereas they can one or two shot you.

I've seen the tier 5 Jap heavies get over 2,000 damage twice and over 1,200 twice. That's in just 3 games mind you.

Sure they'll nerf them (they're not Russian), but it'll take about a year.

How did you end up in a tier 7 game? Souflette and T-28 have normal MM no?

Platoon leader was in a Tier 5, so I guess that's why I was dragged in smile

so that you can earn enough XP to make the grind through the stty tanks to the ones you want as painless as possible.
Don't get stressed - the tank you want is stty as well, All the tanks are stty, in fact, almost inevitably worse stock than the upgraded one you just left. And the enemy just went up a tier, too.

Although this appears to be a game about the grind, that's actually a route to endless dissatisfaction. Just play the game a battle at a time and don't worry about the grind. Forget about the grind. The grind will then happen, sometimes without you even noticing wink

If credits are a problem, maybe buy a premium tank that you fancy and play it between each of your other battles. You will (a) get good at playing that one, (b) train up crew (if you're that way inclined and it suits the tanks you're grinding), (c) farm credits. Again, all without really noticing.

If you're keen to play for more than the moment, then join an active clan (not VBRJ!)

Despite being on a self-imposed break, I still try and pick up my double on whatever I'm grinding. Tonight I got my double in the VK30.02M, collecting an Ace Tanker as I went. At the risk of sounding pompous I knew it was coming, every other game was a 1st class and I've been getting consistently high damage, assist and kills. At this rate I think I'll have it upgraded to a Panther before I've even logged enough games to get any marks of excellence.

It's not what I'd call an upgrade. The VK is better in its tier than the Panther.

Anyone tried this new "Rampage" game mode?

It sounds st & looking at the Jingles video on it, I can't see anyone playing it at all now.

I dabbled with the free for all mode, whatever its called. I wasn't impressed. You need autoloaders to be competitive at all and you need to farm kills to have any chance of winning. If you finish in the top 2 or 3 you will make good coin and xp, otherwise you will lose credits.

It is a frantic kill and be killed death match mode with respawns, but an opponant is as likely to spawn right behind you and shoot you up the jacksie before you even realise there is a threat.

Not for me.nono

I went on a spending spree last night and bought the Scorpion (I thought it wasn't a bad deal with 6500 gold and 30 days premium) and the O-I.

Only had one game with the Scorpion. It went pretty well but it really is a 'hide at the back and then mop up at the end' kind of tank. It looks like it has no armour at all.

The O-I is interesting. I had three games and found a few things out:

  • Anything on the same or less tier than you has great difficulty penetrating. I did Heavy Tank mission 12 for the T28 without even trying
  • It seems to suffer ammo rack damage very easily
  • It has a 24 second reload on the derp cannon which drops to 48 when you get ammo racked
  • It seems a lot of tier 7s can penetrate easily and that massive derp cannon will bounce on tier 7 and above unless you carefully aim your shots
  • If you're on an open map, and the enemy has two or three arty expect to die very early on

There's a look around the real Scorpion here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mFNxCNepYjE

You're right, it has no armour other than the windscreen. It was made to be as light as possible so it could be air dropped with paratroops. There's no way I'd want to be on-board when it fires; It kicks like a mule. eek

The Japanese heavies are certainly great for arty players. I've messed up a few of them now.

Talking of which I managed to do the SPG-15 mission for the Stug last night with the GW Panther, for the 5th female crew member. I didn't get the secondary condition, but I already had the Stug from doing the other vehicles anyway.

Monster rage quit I bet, and totally justified, re-spawn needs to multi location and random with never the same one twice.
