played about 2 hours of team battle last night with a near pure Circ2 team (just one non circ)

We did very well, 83% win rate and the RNG is way lower in team battles

after the team disbanded, three of us went platoon, and after 3 games of OTT RNG we stopped playing.

Seriously, a waffle 4 bounced my IS-8 twice in a row.

You do see some BS RNG sometimes. I recently bounced 2 successive AP shots from my ST-I heavy tank on the superstructure of a British tier 9 arty.

QB has put up a look at the Action X Centurion.

He's about the only person who liked the Prius (the FV4202) though.

I have a platoon mate with one, he likes it enough, but it is his only tier X tank - despite him having played about 6000 batttles! There is no such thing as a "bad" tier X medium, just some are better than others. That said, I've never seen a 121 having a big game, but it's still a very rare tank for us on the Xbox, as the Chinese are the newest nation and most players who were interested in the Chinese seem to have gone down the heavy line. The 121 just looks a bit sluggish, slow aim time, no APCR (only loses 7mm pen to APCR guns, but has significantly lower shell velocity) no gun depression etc. I'm sure if I had one I could make it work though, I'll grind it out eventually.

You don't see many 121s on PC either. I'm less than 10K from it now, but I don't think I'll bother. I want to raise the cash to re-buy the tier 8 Chinese heavy and for a FV4202. I've had that unlocked for a while now.

The Prius is pretty vulnerable frontally thanks to the prominent turret ring. Shoot it in the throat & you damage the tank & jam their turret at the same time. I recall wrecking one with a full clip from my T54E1 that way.

My first Kolobanov's medal. It got down to 5 vs 1. The Tilly then saved the day biggrin

Four matches tonight, lost 2 where we were absolutely crushed by the enemy, won one by a slim margin where I did next to nothing (thanks Type 61, you stinking heap of st) and then decided to play tier Xs - if we're top tier, at least we can dominate the games right? El Halluf encounter battle, we get the north spawn and have the stronger tanks on our team. Within 5 minutes it's left with me, Z06George and a few others hanging on as pretty much the entire enemy team rolls towards us, OP TDs and 3 enemy arty firing on us. No heroic saves here, we just got completely and utterly fked.

Some times I don't even feel slightly guilty for not playing this fking game.

Amen to that brother.

Lost about 5 games on the spin in my T54E1. It has been an expensive night.

Well done. All that and only a 1st Class Mastery. That's ridiculous.

I couldn't resist the pull and ended up coming back on to play my M48 Patton. I was still getting trolled - shooting repeatedly at the 180mm armour section on the side of an E-100 only to have every shot whiff low into the 230-250mm section and still get absored (265mm pen APCR rounds!) was irritating, I was dodging the E-100's return fire but before I went for the HEAT to blow through his turret face I got nailed by the enemy Patton. Alas, some punishingly annoying bits aside, I generally managed to get back into the swing of things, 3000 damage a game minimum, the kills flowing again and the wins following.

The Type 61 is destroying me. Has anyone here got the STB-1? Tell me it's worth it, please! I've played it on the supertest server but as we all know, you can only learn so much in that environment. I imagine that the joy of having the STB-1 will overcome the pain of the memory of the grind, much like women forget the agony of childbirth. The Type 61 is dire though, like the M46 Patton was before it was fully upgraded. I'm sick of these fking tier 9 spectator mediums and this is the bloody worst.

With my habit of collecting underpowered tier 10s (JPE-100, CGC, IS-7 and Maus all in the garage, all naff) I have decided to make a start on the Chinese medium line. I might as well have a 121, after all, I bought the Chinese premiums so I could train a crew to get started and they're underway with Sixth Sense and BIA already trained. It will be a good while yet before I'm getting towards the higher tier stuff, I expect rage about lardy Chinese mediums, poor gun handling and most of all, no gun depression.

Well yes they have poor gun depression, but you do sort of get used to it. I quite like the WZ-120 at tier 9, now I have the big gun on it. Even with only -4 degrees, it's not a bad tank. There's no lardyness here; They're all really small.

The WZ-120:

The trick, on PC at least, it to play the heavy tanks slightly ahead of the medium line. They share a lot of engines, guns and other gear, which are easier to grind out on heavy tanks. The Chinese heavies are very good, so this will not be a burden.

For some reason, all the Chinese engines cost a shed load of XP to research. The WZ-120's top engine costs a massive 46,000 XP !! Luckily, it's shared with the tier 9 Heavy, the WZ-111 1-4. That tank is pretty mobile anyway, but benefits from the extra power as well. The WZ-120's top gun is researched as soon as you unlock the tier 10 heavy.

The tier 7 and 8 lights are good tanks too.

You know you have made an impact when you make somebody so mad that they don't even manage to say anything in the battle, don't send a message directly after the battle but actually go as far as logging out, logging back into an old account (86 battles since 2012) just to send you a stagram laugh.. Sad part is I don't have a clue who he was or what I had done to him silly. He seems to know me though hehe I suspect it was a reroll who got one shot by my M4 in the previous game, but then that just adds to the irony so who knows.

Caution, stronk nerd rage:

On a more serious note, how sad that WG would do nothing about this - and even more tragic that people can get wound up to such an extent that they literally cannot see what is wrong with logging into a old account just to send such bile. Can't help but think sometimes this planet really needs a big ass asteroid and restart all over. #Ultronwasright

Wow. I am surprised he managed to get so many 'isms into such a limited message. You should definitely put this somewhere it gets more attention. Welcome to the WOT playerbase - Raging rogues, scumbags, e-racists and sock cookers lightly punctuated with the odd display of humour and decency.

Get them reported in any way possible (the Jingles idea sounds a good one).

That's utterly pathetic. I have to shamefacedly confess to raging sometimes in battles (normally when they have zero tactical awareness or form a huge lemming train) but I never insult anyone like that.

Well done. I've still got loads to do for the T28 HTC.

LT 13 - 15

MT 12 - 15

TD 12 - 15

SPG 5 - 15 bandit

HT 12, 13 and 15 (I did HT14 with a Top Gun from the T57 Heavy)

I also sold my British DerpenCruiser II and got the DerpenSherman III instead. I used free XP to get there as I really don't fancy the tanks before it. It's been a while since I've played a Sherman, but I did like the US one.
Any tips for the STUG missions. I have LT 15 and SPG 15 left. I only need to complete one of them with honours.

Given up on the LT as I'm totally at the mercy of my team-mates actually hitting anything that I spot. And often I find a great position only for someone else on my team move a bit further forwards and steal all my spots. Seems a daft challenge to me.

Had the Hummel but recently upgraded to GW Panther. 2k damage is now relatively achievable most games but struggling to finish in top 3 team players, as I'm not getting any spotting/assistance.

What a douche. You see this kinda toxic stuff on Reddit's WoT section fairly regularly. If you'd corrected his poor grammar, his head would probably have exploded. laugh

Have you tried sending the screen shot to Wargaming anyway?

Yeah I've submitted a ticket to WG about it, although to be honest I'm 75% expecting a cookie cutter 'please use the in game reporting' response. Which of course would be impossible, due to the circumstances I described. Still will let you know if anything surprising happens. At best I would imagine they would ban the old 80 game account, which might at least stop him using it but have no real impact, but you never know. Hopefully the idiot would have left enough details in it to allow them to trace his main.

There was a very strong temptation to troll him to see what else happened I'll admit, but as I imagined it would be going to WG I figured best not. Still, after 24k or so games, it's nice to know I can still make a mark.

Teknopug - Of the two missions you mention I'd think the SPG one will be the easier, simply as you will have more opportunities, but unfortunately its just a case of keeping going until the stars align with the RNG. The SPG one offers far more maps to do it on, whereas the LT is much more limited. With the LT one though if you have a platoon then they can focus on shooting your spotting, that helps a lot as you aren't relying on randoms to shoot straight.

Wargaming EU are pretty useless from what I hear.

I did SPG-15 with the GW Panther, although I didn't get the secondary (survive the battle). As you say, 2K+ damage a game is doable fairly often, which you'll need for the next set of missions. It's a good SPG to shotgun people with too. I use chocolate instead of a fire extinguisher to speed everything up a little.

I think I used the T71 for the light tank mission (spot 4K and survive), which I did manage to complete. You just have to get the right map and be lucky. Tier 9 and 10 tanks have a lot of health, so if you have competent arty it's just a matter of time.

I think I probably need higher tier LTs in order to regularly get in the TX games. I have Luchs, ELC, Chaffee, MT25 etc.

Will concentrate on the SPG though, as it seems it's more down to my ability, than relying on team-mates.
