I've just had a few matches with Z06George, he's a good guy and a good player too. Our most notable match was him in a T25-AT and me in a Tiger I on Sand River, team experienced melt and left myself, George and one other tank behind a sand dune defending the cap against an IS-3, a Panther, a T29 and a few more. We didn't turn it into a win - our tier 7s would always struggle against those tier 8s, and we literally back against the wall, defending from behind a dune. We did turn it into a draw, which was well earned and hard fought.

Another match saw GeorgeZ06 in a Jackson and me in the TOGII on Himmelsdorf, with some moron in a KV-1 trolling me by parking in front of me to block me from moving. Maybe if he hadn't been carrying on like a knob the opposition wouldn't have rushed the cap and won the game in under 3 minutes. Ho hum.
That was good fun last night and yes that troll was such an idiot. Never seen that before tbh.

So just a another bit of praise for my favourite tank the Hellcat... had a tier 8 game last night with it.. 2.5k damage, 2.5k spotting, 5 kills, base captured = 1450base exp, Mastery badge and a WN8 rating of 7500, yes 7500.

I have found another useful XVM addon which gives you post game stats in a neat window, including performance ratings etc and session statistics.
found in here:

As for the discussion on the Brit heavy line. the Caern takes some getting used to but is a good tank in the end. The Conq is just awesome. The FV215b is an odd beast. Hull down you are amongst the hardest of enemies to hurt (gold rounds excepted) but making use of the rate of fire can be tricky and if you don't you risk trading 400 damage for a lot more each salvo. that said I do quite like it as people are still surprised by its damage output and toughness and I will be sad to see it go when the Chieftain comes in. Which btw WG better be awesome.

I have the FV4202 researched... is it worth getting that. I heard rumours that it will be changed as well?

I think it's a good idea to get the FV4202, even if you don't play it, as they'll likely give you the replacement tank (Centurion Action X) when it comes out.....and....since they're going to nerf the FV4202 and turn it into a tier 8 premium tank, you'll get that too.

Probably.

Razer are giving away 3 free days of premium account, link below. Haven't tried it myself (yet), but last time they did this you just need to create a Razer account if you don't have one and log in with it. You then get a bonus code you can apply to your WOT account.

Not sure if / when the offer expires, so best not to hang about.
Still working 21:15
Anyone actually tried the comms, could be the free to use solution without the hosting hassles of TS etc.

This will be of interest to any WOT360 players - both of us!

http://worldoftanksxbox360edition.com/en/news/game...

Finally some proper objectives for 360 players, instead of paltry 10,000 silver bonuses for achieving a certain medal. In particular the "Everyone Enjoys Consumables" mission looks handy, especially as I can use the equipment on my key tanks just for the passive stat boosts, rather than equipping them as consumables that I'll actively be using.

The rest of the missions are just for healthy silver bonuses - though after getting myself a premium credit press tank they don't seem that crazy, but they're not unwelcome. There is even a free Premium tank (shame it's a tier 2...) just for logging into the game this weekened.

So, it looks set to be a fun weekend out in the Tiger II and the TOG. The Tiger II is slowly creeping towards that top tier gun, after which the only think left to research with the Konigtiger will be the E-75. Speaking of World of Lolz, I had a good match on Mines earlier in the TOG, where I tried reverse side-scraping into sniper alley behind a house, presenting a side angle that was effectively an auto-bounce, with the tank being so long it's possible to get the turret into a viable firing position with the hull almost parallel to the incoming fire. As a result, everything pings off the side, while the amazing gun dishes out that cheap, accurate, rapid damage. In a game with attentive SPG on the opposition, it wouldn't be a great tactic, unless you could find a building tall enough to use as a shield, and have a super-heavy spall liner to shrug off splash hits. On Himmelsdorf I can see it being a great way to anchor down key streets on the map, so long as you've got other tanks nearby to spot and defend against incoming enemy tanks in streets that are out of view.

Solopub in the TOG, what an absolute beast this tank can be.

Finally got 6th sense for my E-25. What a grind that was. frown Totally worth it as my survivability has increased tenfold now I know if I'm spotted from wherever I'm unleashing the derp gun. spin This thing makes so much credits it's ridiculous. Up to 11,500,000 now.

By the way, am I the only one who didn't realise you can set your APCR ammo to use coins instead of gold? getmecoat I only realised the other day there is a dropdown menu at the side of the ammo where you can change the ammo from gold to silver so it uses your coins rather than real money. I never used to bother with APCR or HE/HEAT but now I've loaded some APCR for all my tanks for when you need that extra penetration. yes

Yep, that changed a while ago and changed the face of the game really For instance the E-100 base gun (12.8cm as used on the E-75 and various AT guns) does more penetration than the upgrade 15cm gun. You have to use heat rounds if you want to penetrate anything and being able to use regular credits to buy them (albeit at 6000 per shot) is a major bonus. Makes it an expensive tank to run mind.

Arg! Last night was bad enough, people were playing like proper lemons (myself included). X5 going to make it interesting tonight rolleyes. Still should at least let me get done with the Su100-m1, provided I dont get one of those 100xp killed by arty in the first minute wins. That tank is better now with the ROF buff, but still painful to play.

Also Jayfish that new PH Logo looks awesome on the tanks, thanks smile

You are ofcourse aware that the E25, because it is a premium tank doesn't need its own crew? Because of its premium status it can use any German TD crew as if it was its own. This makes it an excellent way to get extra training on all your German TD crews.

If you currently are running your E25 with its own dedicated crew you are doing it wrong wink

Yes I know about crew training but it's the only German TD I have. I trained my SU-85B crew very fast in my SU-100Y so know how it works but to be honest I can't be arsed swapping and changing them around the tanks all the time.

Swapping the entire crew over takes two clicks now. It's so much easier than before.

You should give the regular German TDs a try. Like the Soviet ones they're pretty much all very good.

If you do, the Marder 2 (tier 3) has been nerfed to hell, so avoid the top gun on it. Its aim time and narrow field of view are just horrible. The second from top gun is adequate and turns it into a slightly worse, but faster, FCM French premium TD. You won't have a problem with anything but a KV-1.

So we can only play 3 at a time in a clan ?
Or am I mistaken ?

3 is the most in a platoon for random battles, however there are team battles and clan wars game options which allow for greater numbers of people to play together (up to 15). The exact number is determined by the game mode, I think. Oh strongholds too, but no idea how they work smile

Another good night platooning with GeorgeZ06, we played a bit of everything tonight to get those juicy 5x bonuses, 5000xp for decent game in the Tiger, yeah why not. The free automatic fire extinguishers are nice too, it wasn't a challenge to get the missions done, 16 kills came in no time, 10 wins followed and finally 16 spots - ok, that last one took a while as spotting in the TOGII isn't easy.

UPDATE: Just had a match in the T1E6-X, the tier 2 premium tank that was a gift for logging in on the August Extravaganza weekend event. The little twin-shot autoloader gun is actually pretty fun, and as nothing at this tier has any armour everyone just whizzes around the map, completely unloading on eachother, the damage numbers were flying all over the screen. Still, in my first match out I earned an Ace Tanker, which is no mean feat as everyone is playing this tank this weekend, 30/32 of the tanks in my match were T1E6-Xs.

Sadly, it does seem they've made it a standard-earning tank, despite it's premium status, after getting 5 kills, damaging others and scoring 43 penetrating hits and 11 criticals, I still only netted 14,000 gold. That said, it was free, so I can understand WG wanting to make sure the economy doesn't get borked. Why pay for a credit press like a TOG, Löwe etc, if there was a free tank that made 20,000 a match easily? As I've just bought a parking pass, I'm not stuck for space for tanks, so as a result I probably won't sell it for a while yet.
