The sheer amount of garbage players is pissing me off again. I don't care if they're 7 years old or playing on lousy hardware, they're ruining the game.

Just unlocked the 128mm top gun for the JPII, I had to call up my Chinese friend Ho-Lee Fuk, it's amazing. Tier 10 game on Prokhorovka, I killed and IS-3 from full health without getting spotted, nailed an E-75 and put 1500 damage into an FV4202 an earning a total damage of 3427, as well as opening the door for 1054 spotting damage,. I earned 1404 base xp, more than a JP-E100 who scored 6200 damage and took 6 kills. It took it's time getting there, but this thing is mighty. Not BL-10, penetrating the front armour of tier 10 heavy mighty, but having enough penetration and alpha to make E-75 drivers take note as soon as a hit lands.

WG have announced the latest content for the 360 game, the Leopard 1 line and the British SPGs. Swee jezu. Ok, it's not the Maus line that I'm waiting on, but it's still good. I'm more interested in the SPGs than the German mediums, I don't play arty much but had been considering turning my Hummel into a GwPanther, with the dream to be owning one of those GwTigers, but the idea of one day playing a Conqueror Gun Carriage is too tempting, and relaxed crew training rules mean that I may be able to use my TOGII as a crew trainer, but I need to look into that.
The Brit SPG's are quirky and imo great fun, sadly the best is about to be hit with the nerf bat, the FV304; can only shoot across half a map but does 50 km/h+ reloads and aims fast and has a high shell trajectory making it actually useful on maps like himmlesdorf, not sure on eggbox stats but they are about to increase it's reload time and nerf its manoeuvrability on soft terrain also widening it's aim circle. It's a shame because you can really go to town in this thing as a fast support tank and have had many a kill using it as a TD.
The Crusader SP that follows it is great although there's not a lot of love for it out there, historically it has a backwards facing gun, WG opted to spin it 180 so the gun points forwards but it goes 12km/h forwards and 40 odd backwards, take some getting used to but it reloads fast and is deadly accurate, I have a 57% win rate in mine and am likely to keep it when I buy the FV207 at t7, The GW at the same tier is just boring to play once you go Crusader SP, OK it has higher alpha but it's very much a sit still, try not to rotate too far watch the paint dry SPG in comparison.

Crusader SP is junk*. It's better than the T7 lorraine and the SU-14-1, but then, so is pretty much anything.

I've elited it, not bougth the T8 yet.

* slightly harsh, but it's far from the best T7 arty (GWP, which reliably hits for more, with a better traverse).

FV304 is ace, though.

52% win rate. You could be right...but it's still crap in comparison to the GWP at 58%.

I've seen some videos of the FV304, it's certainly a unique SPG in it's play style, there isn't really another SPG that can copy it. Tbh, it's the French artillery I really want, but that might be a few months off yet, so it's British SPG for me. I confirmed today that the on the Xbox version, premium tanks can train a train for any sort of tank, so my TOG is being pressed into service to prep a crew with some skills ready for the arty play. There are no issues with crew member numbers either, I know some tanks in the game where the crew has to be expanded while moving up the tree can break certain skills, which again is not an issue on the Xbox.

The forums are going wild for the Leopard 1 line, but tbh I'm not that excited about it. Maybe I'm missing out, I may one day find out.

The FV304 nerf is another good thing about Patch 9.3.

I do like shooting the ones that have been watching too much Youtube and think they can play TD though.

Have to laugh at all of the people on the WoT forums saying the KV-1S isn't op, you just need to know how to counter it... I bought one to research the MT-25 for the upcoming lights in the next patch. Playing it tonight after 6 pints in the pub earlier.

Third ever game in one:

Stats after nine games (I know, I know, small sample size and all that...):

Not surprised people like a good whinge about it!

Edit: Was going to say how it pretty much feels like a T8 without so many hitpoints, but upon searching YouTube, SirFoch puts it much better than me...

It can be a real beast, but it can also come unstuck very quickly if you get too aggressive or become outnumbered. I finished one off with my Japanese tier 4 light tank the other day. I got him to miss me, then just ran up tight along side and shot him several times. Boy I bet he was surprised. Takes a bit of nerve, but this trick works against the KV-1 tank as well.

It's actually not that unusual to do more damage in a tier 8 game with a KV-1S than your team mates I find. That's more a reflection on them though.

Also you'd better hurry if you want the MT-25, because after patch 9.3 (out next week probably) it'll no longer be an offshoot of the KV-1S. in future it'll branch off the T-34 instead.

Argh, WOT rage striking hard. I've just got in from work and put in three games in my Jagdpanther II, these were short games where our team just absolutely stank. I've had a 4000 damage game and two 3500 damage game, basically outputting my HP in damage over 3 times. Each match has looked roughly the same, with me at the top of the scoreboard, a couple of greens scoring 1500-ish damage, a few in the 600 range and in each case, at least a third of the team scoring 0 damage and very little spotting damage. Each match has seen me nearly single-handedly hold a flank and be one of the last 2 tanks left alive, but when a flank completely collapses, I mean melts like ice in a furnace, there is only so much you can do. The first match of the night, where I scored 4000 damage, I held off 2 Tiger IIs and killed one, a Black Price, a KV-2 which I also killed and a T71 from behind the windmill on Fisherman's Bay. The rest of my team complete gave up and let the enemy steam through the town.

I know it's the luck of the draw, one day you're in tomato soup (not that we have active colour coding for player skill on the 360) and the next day you're playing with the elites at your side, but days like this make me want to put my foot through the tv. On the plus side, the grind to the Jagdtiger should be fun, even with 167,023xp to go, as the amazing gun of the JPII means that even on a loss, you can still earn decent xp. I'm considering going premium too soon, which will speed things along considerably, and pump up the profit margins to make the JPII a decent earner.

The teams are just horrible at the moment. There are so many ineffective players that teams are folding like a cheap suit.

I was in a tier 9 game yesterday on Mines and we won 15-0. I don't think I've seen a high tier battle collapse like that before.
