I found WoT & WoWs to be playable from the UK, even the NA west coast server, which is in California. The language is predominately English, although you do have a lot of Central and South American Spanish speakers on there too. So instead of the Poles getting slagged off all the time, it's Mexicans instead. Hay ho.

IIRC, when Wargaming opened a South East Asia server, they allowed Australasians etc, (who'd been using the NA server) to migrate their account over if they wanted. That's probably something many of the players regretted, as SEA players are really hopeless apparently.

In general though, server roaming would open up Russian assholery to a wider audience. If you want to know what's that like, try the test server. Wargaming just can't be bothered with the grief.

I suspect it may be better during the hours the UK would be likely to be on. Peak time in the US can be diabolical.

Yes, probably. We're what, 5 hrs ahead of the US east coast. The US server population is quite small compared to the EU and RU ones. The two EU servers (and a couple of the RU ones) are in Holland and southern Germany.

I'm not sure where the Armoured Warfare servers are located. My ping is usually a pretty decent 32 to the EU one, so it's not that far away. I don't have a US account, but I imagine that's playable.

While it amused the pee out of me, I don't think it's that good, alas.

While I wasn't happy with my playing, I was pleased with each of the kills, each being a nice mixture of planning and good luck smile

Hi guys, can any of you recommend a decent laptop to play WOT on please.
Looks like I'll have to spend some time away from home in the near future.

Any modern Laptop, i3 and above, will happily run WoT on low settings.

Yes the Titan GT80 is a bit ott for WoT wink

I have an MSI GT72, its more than capable of running any top game and that is a year old now, for your budget its a bit out of your price bracket (like 1800 quid new), so look at something like this (and I would go with a 17 inch screen and not 15 inch) http://www.scan.co.uk/products/173-scan-3xs-lg17-p...

Actually look here, think its the same machine but for less... you can add a few things but that other one says bundle, it may be worth having a chat with them if you are interested and if this works out cheaper then upgrade the hdd to a faster one (its like 11 quid more), more memory and a faster wifi interface, and you get some free headset worth 80 quid also wink

For a new machine I'd check out saveonlaptops in the coming month.

I bought my 17" Asus from them for £1000 last Jan, £800 off the price it had been when released in the previous April!! Cracking spec, 12 gig ram, i7, Gtx870m with 3 gig vram, 256 gig ssd , 1tb data ,17 inch screen, you get the idea, goes very well.

Does anyone know if WOT are going to be doing an offer on prem rounds? Or have I missed it?

Nope, there is a small group of us, not enough to make a clan. We used to play 360 but moved to the Xbox One well ahead of WOT, so when WOTXB1 launched we were ready to switch over.

That said, I don't really play anymore so it's an even smaller group now. I still keep up with my platoon via whatsapp but I'm sick to fk of WOT now. I like to keep up to speed and still watch every video that QB puts out, but the grinding pain and misery of playing now feels like more than I'm willing to put up with. I used to enjoy overcoming the stunted, luck-based game mechanics to crush the enemy but now I can't even be bothered with that.

Not likely, though it does sound like they've done a lot of things right where WOT does them wrong - no game like this will ever be perfect. I wonder if AW will ever be a success, based on so many WOT players probably not leaving due to the "I've done all the grinding on WOT, I'm not doing it again" factor.
