The one decent game I've had, was abused and called a noob right at the end, by the arty I'd just killed.





Think I'd going to leave it for a couple of days. It's obvious tonight that an algorithm in the game thinks I ought to lose most games and miss most shots...

I played some games recently, having had long break. It's actually gotten worse it seems, people almost exclusively shooting prem at high tiers now and the amount of whining.. boy I didn't remember it so bad. Gave up after getting shot by my own team for almost getting a radley walters in last game, "kill stealer" etc... returned fire once (which was amusing, as I was in a Su100 and they were in a < half health VKP) so you might have some more messages Justin

I mainly do clan battles now, due to so many retards playing. Lots of the skilled players have quit the game as well.

Same here, mainly strongholds, I love derping Cromwells in the side with 105mm HEAT from my VK2801

TBH it doesn't seem particularly better or worse than it was when I started two years ago. I agree arty needs rebalancing and there are other issues too (though I love it, the O-I is massively overpowered) but what online game doesn't have issues?

As I said before, when most of my clan stop playing it then I probably will too. Until that point I'll carry on.

I bought my first T10 at Xmas (after 13k games...)

The FV183b - "Death Star".

It's not very good.....it's basically an artillery that fires as a TD. Sure, it'll dish out 1500 damage - took a Maus from hero to zero in 2 shots (he wasn't impressed!) but it's just so situational. 20+ seconds reload time means that you want to sit back out of harms way but the accuracy is hopeless. So the only real way to play it is to brawl at point blank range. This only works if you are in a big group, otherwise a couple of Meds flank you and it's game over. Lost track of the number of games where I haven't even fired a shot.

Debating whether to keep it or not. I deliberately kept the proceeding Tortoise. The 183mm troll-cannon is amusing when it works....but that doesn't seem frequent enough to keep it. Anyone played it?

The 183 one of the few tanks I play now, when I do play that is. Everything you said is right, but that sweet pay off when you pen a HESH shell into a tank on the move at 500M is great. It's also especially good at making Object 263 drivers regret being so bold too - couple of times I've one shot one (~1900 HP iirc) by hitting the lower plate when they thought they were immune

Works far far better as a platoon tank though.

Still, its worth keeping it I think.

I gave up on the deathstar, it costs you credits as you need to use gold ammo.
lso you need to be in a team with a player that will nanny you, other than that the tank scares the enemy away from you.

I've been back on tanks this week playing with one of my old platoon buddies, I was really quite enjoying myself too, which I wasn't expecting. The Type 59 is on sale, so I picked one up with some gold from my account, what a tank that is. Of course, it's so infamous that every battle I've been in has had at least 8 of them as they're selling like hot cakes, nevertheless it's been a great fun to drive and I expect it will be even more fun once the game is not-so medium heavy in a fornight or so, as the combined medium tank week and Type 59 sales means there is an awful lot of them on the field at the moment.

Anyone downloaded the new Test Server update, 9.14?

New sounds, physics and some updated tanks to HD.

First impressions is wow, just how the sounds change the game. The new sounds are much more mechanical, hearing reloading/different engine types and even things like bouncing rounds sound much better.

The physics i've not got alot to say about atm but now the handbrake works so for Lights and Mediums it will be a important skill to learn also the rocking of the tank works much better now.

It's all noise mate, literally. The underlying issues still remain unfixed and people are still leaving in droves to play other games such as AW. Those of you that still play it must be BDSM addicts to put up with the BS and torture that the the MM and RNG deals you every game.

I play both, and like both for different reasons. I enjoy playing the community tests over the normal game now as it removes the grind element and can play and test tanks i'd never get to play.

The MM and RNG is certainly a issue, yesterday 9 games in a row with teams that was terrible and full of bots (clear to see when they get confused and continue to try driving out the map the whole game).

I think they've upped the RNG in Armoured Warfare so much now that it's almost on a par with WoT. The number of bounces, no pens, no damage, no effect and module damage (no real effect) you get these days is ridiculous.

There's a few specials on at the moment too, so as with WoT, it brings out the complete and utter retards from under whatever rocks they live under.

I think the specials have finished now. I have no problem penning stuff - I just don't fire if my ^ is showing red.
