For those of you who are grinding towards the Stug I'm afraid it's an utter POS. Sorry for the bad news!

The T28 HTC is OK though, though a lot more people seem to know it's weak spots now unfortunately.

I'm still play WOT a lot but I agree there's too many times when you're on a team with loads of bots\tomatoes and the game ends 15-4 or something similar. Very frustrating when you're pointing out an empty flank and no-one does anything.

On the plus side, I'm enjoying the O-Ho and am almost at the Type 4 Heavy.
The Stug is OK but it's all about getting the female crew and unlocking the next set of missions.

Yeah getting the Stug is more about the $ rewards and the female crew. I have 3 unlocked, 1 currently commander in my Pershing. leaving the other 2 for later. was supposed to be my LT crew..

To be honest I don't play much now, but when I do I've given up defending an empty flank - I used to think "Oh, no-one's going left, I better go defend that side" and every now and again I'd hold off loads or go push and open up that flank, but mostly I'd get swamped. Now if everyone goes one side I just follow them, the game will probably be a loss anyway so I may as well get some XP for it.
An extreme version of this is happening in Warthunder at the moment (in the planes at least) - the cost to repair is so high that people just quit out of the game as soon as they see they will probably lose instead of getting in a different plane and continue fighting a lost cause.
If I am in a solid top tier tank with a couple of others I dont mind going the empty flank to hold things up but otherwise you are far far better going with the zerg train and making sure they dont stall, even if it puts you at risk keep them moving and crushing the enemy , if they stall and sit there staring at 2 defenders you are done for

Yeah the lemming train stall of death is what loses most lemming train matches especially if there is a massive impenetrable anti tank gun and no artillery to shift it. If I am in my arty I generally focus my attention on the under defended flank as a couple of heavy slaps from a big artillery piece can make all the difference smile

Doesn't sound like it would apply to Panzer Commander, but how often in the lemming train scenario do you see all the tanks pushing one side, with the arties sitting alone on the other flank frantically spamming the map on their side, "idiot lemmings" "noob team" etc. Always makes me chuckle because you know they are sitting there raging instead of actually doing something smart like relocating.

except that for a lot of arty relocation isnt an option because of the low speed. Unless you have a map with a lot of cover, reloating isnt an option.

Really? I can think of very few maps (ensk, maybe himmelsdorf) where the enemy could be on you / close enough to spot within the time it would take to realise a lemming train is happening and move to be behind it. I'm not talking about minutes into the game but that time in the first 30 seconds where you can (& should look) on the map see what is happening and respond to it.

I've over 300 games (at least) in the GW Tiger P, there are probably very few worse at relocating / getting spotted and haven't had a big issue. Key is to keep an eye on what's happening at the start and react accordingly.

Yup, the M53/55 is a fairly sprightly for an artillery piece and can re-locate. I can't be doing with sitting there fuming I generally try and think "how can I sort this" of course if one flank has no friendlies at all its pointless waiting around because you will be dead before you have seen what has hit you so it makes sense to support 'the train' in the vain hope that you will be able to assist a push through, the risk of being flanked (usually by a light or a medium on a scouting dash) is always present.

WOT is done. It's only the stat-padders that still play it. Frightened to death of their WN8 dropping if they don't keep it up.

Not at tier 8, for sure. Even the SU-14-2 is more agile. Can't bring myself to buy the GWT yet as a result.

well that aim bot made in to a T8 strong holds battle last night

T8 near full IS3 CIRC team of which I was a part, got completely slaughtered by a team full of sub 48% WR and sub 600 win8.

they did not miss a single shot, full Unicum teams are not this good.

Or maybe they just play really badly in random games to make their stats look worse deliberately, if I took the game seriously and cared about stats that's what I would do.

nah, this way across the valley in the north of highway, 300m plus range, IS-3 Vs IS-3, it was totally surreal.

does this aimbot thing counteract the RNG then? I know it supposedly makes aiming at weakspots automatic, but surely it still has the 25% bork factor to overcome? Genuine question, as I've seen lots of people complaining about it but can't see how it gets round the rng. Understand up close it's very very dodgy and needs to be stamped out, but at ranges like 300M surely it can't add that much?

Unfortunately though WG EU's stance on mods leaves this kind of thing wide open (its up to the user and their conscience to decide if a mod is illegal rolleyes), even if they say they will ban for it.

Just for Mastodon2:

Helped enormously by the sheer number of M48 KR's in game at present. I would say that 20 of the last 22 had to be these, with an M60 and a solitary regular M48 thrown in for luck.

All splatted by the trusty FV3805.

Great effort!

What tank is that? Is it a Super Pershing?
