WG mentioned something about mobility buffs on the T28's and T95 - perhaps it's something that will come in time.
As someone who has 5000+ minutes in the T95 I got excited about that when I heard the rumour but as I play Xbox it'll probably happen in about 18 months for me hehe

strange isint it. Also at the weekend we had lost half of our tanks before I had even gotten my heavy tank into one of the towns - half the lights/meds of my team had just been vaporised. it was game after game after game at one stage.

I then swich and go for arty of some tier 2/3 just to try and get out of the cycle. Often then find after a string of bad losses (even if Im getting top damage) you then get good wins.
We swear the game has a 'fast mode' where one team gets a RNG bonus for accuracy, penetration, etc. at certain times to make the games go quicker - how often do you get a game that goes down to the last 3 tanks on each side? Or when was the last time you saw a game end in a draw? We used to have draws all the time, but now one team just seems to dominate each game.
Of course it could just be that when you pick 30 players, 20 will be average, 5 will be good and 5 will be terrible. If a team has 4 of the good players on they're probably going to win...
I'm a firm believer in this.
It is especially noticeable when the servers are busy.

Bought myself an AMX 50 100 recently and that, coupled with the recent equipment sale, took my credits balance down to 30000.

Also, I have had about a week of really terrible games. Both playing badly and ending up on abysmal teams (the sort where you're about 6-0 down in the first two minutes).

So I need to make money, and have some more enjoyable games.

Consequently I've played a lot of my 105 leFH18B2. What a great little arty that is. Worth every penny of what I paid for it!

I wrapped the O-Ho up last night, my final game was a Radley-Walters on Ruinberg winte war variant, lost a one on one with a Borsig and consequently my final chance to ace the tank, ended up losing the game and having to settle for the 1st class, which I had plenty of times in it. A shame but it was fun.

I now have the Type 4, it was not up to much with the stock gun so I converted some XP for the top gun, now it's good fun. Gun depression is a great thing to have over the front of a tank! The armour can do silly things but I do agree it needs a buff - if it's size and mobility are the balancing attributes then it should be an un-killable death dealer to anything engaging it from the front, as should the Type 5. By contrast I jumped in my STB-1 for a game and I was running rings round everything and slamming shells in their sides and rear, that tank and other mediums are the natural counter to super heavies. Armour needs to mean something again so it's not just a case of any old tank loading HEAT and completely neutralising it.

Armour means almost nothing these days :/

Do enjoy my O-Ni with the derp, but cant expose the side at all.

Recently bought the M48, dont have the tier 10 gun yet ( fk you wargaming!) its a st heap.

O-Ni really comes into it's one once you get the 100mm Tank gun Kai. On the O-Ho it's derp all round again and much better for it, the AP guns are useless on it.

The M48 is terrible until it's fully upgraded, then it's a beast. It's in a better place on the PC than it is on console, so enjoy it! I love mine but don't drive it often at the moment.

The o-ni is full unlocked/elited and has been for ages. I run it with the 105 occasionally but I find for me the derp is the better choice. Works well when bottom tier and crushes lower tier tanks.

As for the m48... the only thing to unlock is the tier 10 gun. This gives me standard ammo with the same pen as my current gold round. Ok a touch faster/more accurate but only by a tiny fraction.

I cant see how that would change how the tank plays at all

I've been having a bit of an arty party recently and am going up the American arty line.

Not a big fan of the M12 so far. Seems pretty inaccurate and doesn't hit that hard despite having a good crew on it. It'll be getting sold when I reach tier 8.

I really enjoyed the M44 though and have kept that. I think I actually prefer it to the FV304 which surprises me.

fking arty, hate it. its st to play, its st to get godnuked by.

I only play it to try do the personal missions as the LT ones are impossible to do now.

I'm stuck on kill 2 enemy spg tho. Because its impossible. you either have to spend all game(s) trying to snipe them by spotting their shots, or hope they get spotted and your entire team is full of retards that ignore the spotted arty ( yeah right). Oh and there needs to be at least 2 arty...

Usually they are spotted end game and die in 0.2 seconds, which is helpful as I have a 40+ second reload and about a week of aim time.

Playing them (US line, tier 7 I think atm) seems totally utterly random. position ok, aiming in the general area, see an enemy tank, even if its stationary, fully aim, and miss. or track it or splash it for 4 damage. ok so might as well alt tab out for a min and browse the web...

I remember once I actually hit an IS3 rear deck, fully penned for 1200 damage, I was surprised as much as him.

Then I play something else ( say a LT zipping through a city map) I get nuked in 1 shot from arty all the fking time.

I'd actually pay to play WOT without arty...

You're better off doing that mission at T6. Shorter load and aim times and the scouts have less chance of one shotting them before you can fire. Also, they tend not to expect counter so you can usually spot the first one and counter him for one kill at least. Did that one in the M44, iirc. Thought about the FV304, but you've got a better chance with something that can shoot across the map.

I'm not suer I can stomach owning multiple artys. Unlocked the s-51 and not bought it yet either.

but yes probably easier at the lowest tier. but fk its so RNG dependant.

Its a very competent hugely played and strong tank, looks like you were top tier too - that really limits your xp gained

Do you have any other tier X mediums? APCR as standard ammo is a massive step up, not just for the pen that makes fighting the front of heavies and TDs a lot easier, but also the really high shell velocity makes sniping and snapshots so much easier.

In that case you will soon see the terrific power of tier X mediums, landing impossible shots on weakspots with 260mm pen rounds or loading 340mm pen HEAT and buttering the front of E-100 turrets. Seriously, its a huge upgrade.

Tier 10 is now broken due to the "Aim Bot" problems World of Tanks allows (by poor policing/software design)
