The Tankopedia (on console at least) show's the bonuses the Premium tanks are given. As far as I know the Churchill III gets one of the highest bonuses for both XP (78%) and Silver (57%).

You will never make as much money in the Churchill III as you do in a tier 8 premium though, forget the bonuses as the actual earnings at tier 8 are massively increased over tier 5, 6 or even 7.

If we're not talking premiums, tier 6s are hard to lose money in, or tier 7s can earn well if you're a decent player. Tier 8s can start to lose money if you're not running premium accounts and have some bad runs.

T8 Premiums. Mutz, E25 and T26E4 can easily earn 50k plus from winning a match without doing too much. 100k plus quite possible if you dominate a game.

T26E4 is probably the easiest as you get credits for bouncing shots. So even if your team are hopeless and you are getting pummelled, you'll still make 30k+.

Generally I'd say high pen TDs around T6/7. You don't need Gold and if you can hang back and snipe, you won't get shot. So no expense on consumables (med its etc) or repairing your tank. So you are only paying for AP shells.

How far has everyone got on the Xmas Tree Swedish thing? I'm a whisker away from XI, I just need 3 more V decorations. But I keep getting duplicates. Can't see what else I can add so presume if I get those 3 I'd also get the X bonus?

  • It's finished so I guess we'll never know! hehe

For example:

I didn't do a great deal in the game, soaked up a lot of hits, spotted and tracked an AT15. Still nearly 100k on a Premium account. 50k on standard if I managed to survive (got overrun after holding up against 4 enemies).

Generally I would say that if you want to make credits/XP in any tank, don't ignore spotting and tracking enemies. Even if you are in a bottom tier tank, you can still earn a lot simply by spotting enemies. Tracking is even better. If you can't pen, simply track a larger enemy and harvest the points. Quite often I'll choose to track a heavy in the open rather than just knocking 100hp off it. Allows your team to hit him if he is stuck in the open and you get the points whilst you are moving or engaging something else.

You missed the Jtig 8.8 off that list, stupidly good rof, accurate gun, excellent upper hull armour (best to keep the lower part covered) and 203mm of pen on AP, dirt cheap to run and repair, also the panther 8.8 but its quite a difficult beast to master.
The IS 6 is surprisingly good at making money, not as good as some but it is a better all rounder, and now you have the T26E5, this may well become king of the castle for credit earning potential smile

The Jtig 8.8 is very situational though. Slow, no turret etc. Plenty of games where you don't see an enemy and too slow to re-position (same as any of the big fixed TDs) When it's good, it's great. But with the Meds, you should be able to earn good credits every game as no map is a disadvantage.

I've picked up the AMX 13 75 grind again, after dropping it a long time back. I got enough XP on it to fully upgrade it then stopped playing. Now it's fully upgraded and a total turd, so slow to turn on the move and sluggish as hell for a light, the gun is pathetic and is doesn't carry nearly enough ammo to really dish it out. I know the 13 90 is a right old bus too on the mobility front, at least it gets a decent gun.

I can't wait to have a B-C 25 t though, I should have just gritted my teeth and done the grind for that ages ago.

I've been working up that line too, albeit very slowly - on the tier 9 BC25t AP now with about 50k XP to go. I've quite enjoyed them, really. The biggest problems I found with the tier 6 and 7 was the lack of mobility too (especially on the 12t), agree the guns and ammo count issues are annoying but very good at clean up near the end.

Wouldn't hold your breath on the 1390 gun - it's an enjoyable enough tank to play, but the gun isn't great. Pen is ok, but the aimtime and handling are too bad for a light. Sadly the whole line up to tier 8 is massively power creeped by the newer light tanks.

The tier 9 is much better though, a real beast in many situations but as with the whole line you just don't get enough ammo. You get enough for 5 clips, if I remember right, which is 30 shells. It sounds a lot, given each clip is ~1800 dmg potential, but surprising how often you start to get down to the wire on it.

Looking forward to the USA vs Germany event. I've qualified as USA so I've been honing my skills and trying to get my American crews a few extra perks the last few days.

Anyone else involved or are you all mostly PC based?

I'm Xbox One. I'm not taking part in Tank Bowl, I'd have liked to but I'm not playing any German or American grinds at the moment, I could have dusted off my Panther II to get an E50 but I'm too deep into my Type 4 Heavy grind, the urge to add another tier X to the garage is too strong, then I'm grinding French lights after that - joy.

The tankbowl event does seem pretty cool even though the 50,000+ gold bundles caused a lot of butt hurt on the forums. If like me, you own nearly all of the premiums so far available on the console, you can still cherry pick the rare tanks from the smaller bundles and you get refunded the gold value of the tanks in the bundles you already own, so not a fail on WG's part. I did consider picking up the tier VIII American mutant but I'm not going to bother, I don't have enough time to stop my grind.

I bought the USA Bundle on Monday and then succumbed to the Germany one by Thursday. Pricey but it sets me up with some good fun tanks to pick up and play with when I want rather than having to grind every time I play to get into something worthwhile. I've got 3 lines going but now I have some distraction and crew training possibilities for when I CBA.
