World of Tanks (Vol 2)

I bought the USA Bundle on Monday and then succumbed to the Germany one by Thursday. Pricey but it sets me up with some good fun tanks to pick up and play with when I want rather than having to grind every time I play to get into something worthwhile. I've got 3 lines going but now I have some distraction and crew training possibilities for when I CBA.
Saying as I already own most of the premiums, I wasn't interested in the big bundles, but I did manage to use two of the smaller bundles to buy a Lycan and an M6A2E1 "Mutant", because of the gold refund for the tanks in the packages I already owned and the big discounts the two of them didn't cost me much at all. Interesting along with the bonus op for each of the vehicles I got the M41B Brazilian Bulldog op too even though I completed it when I first bought the M41B, so I ticked that off again today for the silver and free day of premium. The Lycan is a fun little tank, the paintjob is a bit annoying but it's just a fully upgraded T71 so it's a solid tank. Good fun to play. The Mutant is a bit of a beast, frontal armour is immense and since it's really tall it can make some crazy shots to overmatch turret roofs and hull decks, makes a load of silver too.
I think I'll be into the playoffs for the US team in the tankbowl soon, I may actually end up going for the reward tank. It's nice to take a break from grinding high tier tanks to make a shedload of money in the premiums.
Paid for a day premium yesterday (pissing down), grinded several crappy tanks (Churchill 7-> BP etc), interspersed with some scorpG/E5 silver farming.
Instant 10% increase in WR over a non premium day... ..
In other news about 80% of my games ended in death by arty. really, fk arty. having an awesome game in a 90% health e5 ripping st up , about to tidy up the last 2 enemy HT in the cap, boom 1300+ damage from a GW and game over. Not sadly a unique experience.

I think this effect is getting worse. I only get premium time as rewards on missions but I always notice the same effect. I suspect that things are even worse than normal just after premium expires.Instant 10% increase in WR over a non premium day... ..
Buying premium time increases your win rate by 10%? Jesus, I better not let mine run out or I'd be a 46% win rate scrub. All this time, I thought I knew how to play but I must be a terrible player. Thank god my premium account has propped my stats up

The AMX 13 75 is an absolute calamity in balance. It's so bad it's hard to describe. Good luck impacting your games in this absolute slug. Anyone who has done the grind and gotten the Bat Chat is worthy of respect.
Ah damn that bad? the 12t is pretty fun once you get the hang of it. Might work it a while build up some crew skills...RobDickinson said:

It's definitely worse tier for tier than the 12t. The mobility is terrible, rear-set turret and lack of gun depression mean that sitting above enemy tanks to shoot down on them can leave you dangerously exposed, having to come quite far forward to hit them. Likewise, the lack of gun elevation is horrific and if you're below an enemy tank, shooting up to them can be very difficult if you're no on perfectly flat ground. The gun itself is awful compared to the other tier 7 light tank guns, the pen is low but the dispersion is truly dire. The damage per magazine is not amazing, but the reload is quick, about 15 seconds for me (the AMX 13 90 will work out about 35 seconds on a reload), the big problem is the bloom between shots. Even with a strong crew, shooting on the move is a lot about luck, even quickly unloading the magazine while stationary is very much hit and miss. It's night and day compared to the T71.
The matchmaking also means you won't often get to wreck lower tier tanks with your burst damage. This thing cannot do any sort of "mini Bat Chat" because it doesn't pack enough punch and it's too sluggish to swoop heavy tanks in the late game unless they're on totally flat ground. The best way to play it is a passive scout in the early game - it's too slow for active scouting, then try and catch lone tanks in the late game for side and rear shots from a distance, with cover to pull back into once the enemy realises they've being slowly pecked to death.
The AMX 13 90 is quicker, much slower reload and even worse dispersion (I dread to think what that will be like...)but has 1440 damage in the magazine instead of 660 or so, it can do the late game swoops much better. Drive up to someone's side or rear, rip them a new one and disappear, much the same as the BC 25 t.
I'm on 76% damage standing and climbing, so I feel like I'm doing it right so far.
if you can find a bush the 13 75 and 12t are excellent passive scouts, they seem to have very good camo rating. Then you don't have to worry about the st engines .
1390 is more fun, but the same frustrations exist with the gun and the matchmaking is harsher. The tier 9 is great, once upgraded (if you have the 50 100 already then you get the top gun, which is nice).

Interested in the changes to the German HT line. I've had the Tiger (H) for ages eliterd never got the tigerII, but fancied the other line , I know the VK4500A is a grind... So bought the vk3001P to work up
Elited the vk3001p aced and unlocked/bought the Tiger(P).
~60% win rate and a lot of fun games, the vk3000p really surprised me. Low hpo pool and noit much armour but a good all rounder. Kept for now, might try the latter German meds but probably not for a while ( would have to go back and unlock from the vk3001h..).
Tiger crew moved to the tigerP, same gun, slower, more armour. little more of a brawler than the other.

The Tiger P was a decent tank I found, not as strong as the Tiger 1 in it's current configuration. The VK45.02A is a decent tank actually, quick and the armour is reasonable if you angle it right, fairly easy to influence games. The VK45.02B is an absolute monster, it is due a nerf though.
In other news I've finished the AMX 13 75, fully upgraded the AMX 13 90 and I'm now on my way with that. While I hated the 13 75 at first, it actually turned out to be an utter little beast of a tank, I finished with 100+ games and something like a 61% solo win rate. The ace tanker was hard to get, a 6000+ combined damage and assist game at tier 8 was only enough for a class 1, I got the ace for about 4500 in a tier 9 game, but I had to lead from the front and make sure I wasn't sharing my spotting with anyone.
The 13 90 is a right laugh, the premium ammo is horrendously expensive - about 27,000 for a full magazine, the regular ammo is lacking for the early game but as the field opens it can reliably go through most tanks from the side and can pen Tier X super heavies from the rear, which the 75mm from the previous tank struggled with. The best thing about the 13 90 is the micro bat chat gameplay in the late game, pouncing on lone tanks and dropping the 1440 magazine potential into them. Very fun and I'm glad to be getting it all over and done with before the light tank changes come to console this year.

Definitely binocs over vents. I ran camo net, binocs and possibly vents. You will also definitely need 6th sense, playing without it would be brutal. I found even with brothers in arms, camo net and green thumb I would still get spotted more often than not the moment I opened fire, all those skills and items didn't help me, even from inside a bush - obviously pulling back helps but the crap gun depression often means by the time you've done that you've lost your shot.
In tier heavily tier 9 and 10 games just become a spotting beacon, find a good bush you can retreat from and just let your team do the work. It can't really pounce tanks in the late game, not tier 9s or 10s, it is too slow, doesn't have enough health and the burst damage isn't enough.
Still a very, very influental tank when used correctly.

Just the once, in an E100. But it was mostly only due to some clueless muppet in a WT bouncing two whole 150mm clips while I was sidescraping.
Wish it would happen again as only need HT15 for the obj260. People don't seem to shoot super heavy tanks now though, at least not without heat. Armour, DPM & gun handling buff for Maus in next PC patch so looks promising.
The t95 is getting a speed buff too, apparently it's quite the monster now on the supertest.
