^ Good job. The pictures aren't embedding, but if you click on the place holders, they're there.

Beaten by Rodney King? There's a joke in there somewhere.

I really, really don't like the Tiger II, but I did actually have a rare good game with it a couple of days ago - on Prokorovka of all places too. It was the usual boring chess game on that turgid map, but I managed to blind kill their last tank, a stealth tier 9 waffle in the last few seconds of the 15 minutes to win it. I thought it might be a ace tanker, but no, it was a 1st class.

Good hour or so of games with Mr Mole and Faneo (sp?) last night!

Regarding the centurion medium line, does the trend of tough turrets continue with the T9 + 10 meds on the British line? The T8 is great hull down

The front of the Centurion 7/1's turret is pretty troll, but the FV4202's is not I believe.

You sp correctly, sir. I'm really enjoying platooning - it's teaching me shedloads (I know it might not seem like it at the time hehe ) and I'm sure that now we have the very kind offer of a TS server it'll help us all. All I need now are some headphones.

The Cent 7/1 turret is pretty strong, although it was nerfed a little a patch or two back. It bounces a lot, but there are a couple of weakspots on the edges and top of the turret (basically not the mantlet area) as it looks at you where shots can get through nowadays.

The FV4202 turret is terribad though, by comparison. Its just a massive weakspot, which is a pity because the FV4202 frontal hull armour is actually very good, much better than the Centurions. So whenever you need to shoot at the FV4202 just shoot it in the face, works every time unless you hit the gun. Its eventually being replaced, which is probably a good thing as although the DPM is ok now, the overall package isn't that competitive compared to many meds at tier 10. Plus it sounds like a Toyota Prius with Gnomefathers sounds mod, which is just odd.

Jimmy - good work with that Tiger 2, it's a bugger to lose games after such a performance but at least you were rewarded fairly for it.

Both cents turrets are pretty tough but best not to rely on them, the fv4202 as mentioned not so much so it's a slightly different playstyle. But after 10 or so games in the fv4202 I think I'm going to get along with it. It's being replaced soon though.

Yes having a ready source of people to Platoon with is handy and definitely makes it more fun.

Thanks. No idea about the pictures; works for me, all done via PH, too.

The TII is growing on me. I still need to get the top gun on it, the extra 25mm of pen will made quite a difference, I think.

It's very situational; needs to be angled well and have its flanks protected, then it can pull forward, damge something, pull back and load, repeat, repeat, repeat. Not a brawler.

The Tier 3 TD will be the FCM Pak 40. If you are thinking of getting this little monster then you should know that it is barely mobile. It may actually be the slowest thing in the game and I am including the TOG in that statement!

However, if you can handle being slower than a slug, then you are in for a treat. This thing has decent camo rating, packs a huge BFG by tier 3 standards and has an insane 400m base view range! This makes it an assassin at tier 3, lighting up half the enemy team before the game even gets properly under way. It is especially LOL on small maps like Provence. It is hilarious on Malinovka too if you get parked in a suitable bush. You can light up a lot of the base campers on the other side.

The bad news is if YOU get lit up, you are too slow to get out of trouble, and have no armour to save you...but....dat gun! It can even murder tier 5s shoot
That's the one, the FCM Pak 40. I've read into it's play style already it sounds fun, it will be a terror on the Province map. The lack of mobility doesn't concern me, I've played a few lumbering beasts and I don't mind them. The TOG is one of my favourite tanks, so I think I'll enjoy this one. It will be similar to the Dicker Max I think, and I love the DM, which has practically no armour, poor mobility and one hell of a gun.

Fat Max feels like an ELC AMX compared to the Pak40, trust me.

Bring it on! It doesn't go live in the shop until tomorrow morning, so I'll get in from work, crack open the beer, buy the French emplacement and start ripping fools in it, training a crew for an eventual run at the Foch.

WG are doing a 3 day event this weekend where playing a match on each day unlocks and starts a day of free premium time, so I'll be smashing WoT all weekend (Destiny is st, I've given up on that), mainly in the JPII so I can knock some big lumps off thee 68,000 I've got remaining to unlock the Jadgtiger.

1075 Mb of patch to download, joy. About 3Mb a second though, not too shabby.

So many new medals with patch 9.3, I feel I've joined the North Korean army. biggrin

Ace Tanker
Mark of Excellence
Fighter (for 4-5 kills)
Duellist (for killing 2 tanks who damaged me)
Fire For Effect (do more damage than the hit points of your tank)
Bruiser (damage at least 5 modules)
Defender (nailed a Tiger on 95% capture points)
Tank Sniper (for long distance hits)

I was the last one alive at the end vs a nearly full heath Ferdinand and their arty.

hehe

I saw the new medal in a QB preview video, they look cool, I hope they get added onto the 360 version soon as I'll be raking them in.

Speaking of amazing games that you don't win, I had a 7 kill game in my Jagpanther II earlier, 4500 damage, and I still lost. The rest of my team didn't manage 3000 damage between them.

Just incase anybody has missed it you need to download the HD models manually now from the link under the video.

http://worldoftanks.eu/en/news/pc-browser/46/versi...

Can somebody clarify for me what my folders should look like under the updates section im a bit confused.
I have Games/World of Tanks/Res mods/ then a few different versions from 8.4 to 9.3

If I then open up the 9.3 folder I have a vehicles folder with the different nations in it.

have I done this correctly? or should I have a resmods folder along with the 9.3 etc?

You should have a res mods folder, and within that a folder for 9.3. You will have older ones (8.4 etc), but the game doesn't use them so you can get rid (the update doesn't do that unfortunately). It sounds right to have the vehicles folder in the 9.3 one, but i haven't tried it yet.

Had a torrid time last night, 3 quick games at Tier 8-9 and i truly felt i was the only one on my team! Maybe a little harsh but it was bloody hard work, all defeats.

This game really hits you hard when your not on the same wavelength as your team mates!

But i still keep coming back... lol

We are all sado masachists for playing this I think. Like the beaten wife that just won't leave the husband I guess... but last night was especially this kind of feeling:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tbd4t-ua-WQ

Even platooning with the VBRJ guys just left 2 or 3 of us in the same position. Staggering level of bad games / teams on display yesterday.

Better today though, won 5 out of 6 games and even had a good game in the Chi-Ri so quit whilst ahead hippy
