Many of them are, that's for sure. It's nice when you can influence games though.

Talking of which: Yey, finally the Ace Tanker in the T29 ! woohoo
Good Job!

Had to go check mine; 1,577xp was my highest base, and presumably what I got ace tanker for. Seems to be you need around 1,500 for it.

Just had a look at some other T7's; I've ace tanker on some for as low as 1,000xp - looks like it depends a lot on the vehicle and presumably the day you were playing.

Yes, I'm particularly looking forward to seeing the Jagdtiger when I eventually make the trip down there. WG have a forumite/pseudo-employee called The Challenger who does the tank videos, I suppose it's him you're referring to, I've watched all those vids and they are really good.

I've just put the upgraded engine and tracks on my Jagtiger and it no longer feels like it has damaged tracks and a blown engine from the start of the battle. Once clutch braking is complete, which should be about the same time I unlock the tier 10 128mm gun, it should be a reasonable tank.
Bovington is amazing and I thoroughly recommend it to anyone with any sort of interest in tanks.

Once you get your JT upgraded, especially with the top gun, you will enjoy it more. That rapid firing gun can shred any enemy it will face. Unfortunately the armour whilst good, is unreliable. This was a big disappointment to me as historically the JT was one of the most well armoured tanks of its day. However, when anyone sees you in game they just load up Premium ammo and slice right through your armour.

Keep your lower plate hidden and keep your JT angled and you have a chance. You also have excellent gun depression so use that and you can make this work.

As for the JP E100 at tier 10. I actually enjoy it. It doesnt get a lot of love from the community but I have had some hilarious games. The armour does actually work with this beast and the gun does over 1000 average damage per shot.

It is a slow lumbering whale of a tank though which cannot respond well to developing threats which is the deal breaker for many.

However as a lover of the slug that is the FCM36 Pak40 you will think your JPE100 is a porsche! driving

In other news...

My solution to weekend noobery, which seems to work quite well, is to simply not play on weekend afternoons. That is now my golden rule. I will play in the mornings and the evenings but avoid the game like the plague between 1pm and 5pm. Also platoon where possible. This has worked wonders for my win rate and my sanity. wink

I tried to play earlier, but the servers are lagging terribly. The Chaffee racing is probably crippling them.

Also XVM seems to be still down from yesterday.

haven't tried the Chaffee races yet, but by a happy driving / pop culture coincidence my Chaffee Sport commander is Staff Sergeant Kowalski cool. I expect to win each and every race, popping pills as I go and will be very disappointed if that naked bit on a honda doesnt turn up about 3/4 of the way through..

As anyone will know who was on last night, every time i finished a battle and got back to the garage my list of tanks across the bottom would disappear, so i would have to click tech tree etc then go back to click garage for it to appear and i use no add'ons!

Also as Mr Mole witnessed last night i "Rage sold" my Tier 9 T95, its just no use now.

It is great 1 in 20 games, but every other game you are either too slow to the action and get swamped after your team collapses or you get in a decent position and everyone just flings gold at you! Its 2 slow to react to anything and in random games, movement is everything!

Least im 1.8 million credits up!

This was my first Tier 9 tank and its one of the worst TD's at T9....

.... My first T10 will be (when it comes on offer!) an M48 Patton.... i dont have much luck in this game smile

Yes have had the same problem since update, all the tanks vanish and have to click garage etc.
Who says a dead teammate is not useful.

Yeah, you need to watch out for JCBs too.

But a Chaffee is a LOT tougher than a '70 Challenger, take it from the guy who knows smokin

Do you get to use it later in normal games? I am truly dire at WoT but do enjoy it,mno idea how to play properly of course

Once the special is over, the tank & slot goes. The crew remain though and any credits are transferred to the T1 Cunningham whether you have it or not.

I long ago disabled auto-aim, so the Chaffee racing is a bit st. I've had one game and I think I'll leave it at that.

Argh, Jagdtiger pain continues, I just got one-shotted by a FV215b 183. That thing is fking ridiculous, 1750 alpha and 230mm pen from the premium round, utterly ridiculous.

FCM36Pak40 makes it better. Province with a camo net and binocs, spotting the enemy team who are dug in on the other side of the map. As Quickkybaby would say "massive lolz".

I don't think it matters what tank you have, the game is unplayable at the moment with all the retards anyway.

It sounds like they're going to make Sixth Sense easier to get.

It'll no longer be a perk for the commander. Instead, the radio man (or whoever does that as a secondary role) will have it once they reach 100% of regular training.

I think that's a a good idea really. Newer players wont be at such a disadvantage any more.

Logged in for a quick game last night, encounter on Fiery wossname. Boring their team was even more abysmal than ours. I played badly and was still top Xp and damage for both teams plus sat in the cap to tempt someone out but nobody at home. Wtf.

Anyway senior moment. Noticed have a Chaffee sport or something in the garage. Numpty here could not figure out how to get the racing. It's not a battle mode.

If you have the tank selected in the garage. Once you click battle it will automatically go to the racing.
