Cold War on WOT is a fast paced arena. Sadly it doesn't lend itself to using a low tier TD with limited traverse and gun depression as I'm rapidly finding out to my cost. It's fine and dandy if you're using a "stbarn" than can punch for 1500 damage per shot then scoot out of the way, but not so much fun if trying to play tactically and support an advance as part of a team. (Anyone using an FV4005 is an unskilled turd, BTW).

It's still a good and (once over the grind of an era 1 starter tank) more balanced game, fast paced and fun, but as @bigmon said, it's rare to see a close victory or defeat these days, it just seems that one side gets steamrollered. I've seen packs of FV107's (a clan) obliterate a team by just finding, circling at speed and distracting tanks while they get picked off by the high rate of fire from the lights and massive damage from the Heavies.

There's no doubt that WOT is mostly broken, Cold War is better at the first era, or should I say, faster. The maps are far too small for the speed of the tanks, agreed. Ruinberg is now making an appearance and a map, which in WW2 mode was effectively split into 2, the town for side scraping action or the open area for some sniping, but in Cold War is now just a massive melee as it is possible to cross the entire map very quickly.

As I've mentioned, I just stick to Tier 5 these days, with the occasional melee into 8 with my Lowe Black or STA.
