I wouldn't mind the raid this evening, really need some shards and want.... No NEED.... The chatterwhite shader!!
Shame we can't trade as I got a duplicate chatterwhite last night! (Thanks to everyone involved btw, was a pretty slick operation)! Am happy to do the raid again tonight if there is a spare slot, however as I did it last night will I get any drops or loot from the chests? If not will stand aside for anyone who hasn't done it yet :-)

It was a good clean run, even with the one random who didn't have a mic. You won't get anything from the chests of bosses if you do the run with the same character until the Tuesday reset. But it's good practice and you get to know everyone's play style.

Doesn't someone need some jumping puzzle practice? wink

I need to do one more run through the Nightfall with my Warlock but as I'm decorating the front room, I won't be back on again until tomorrow. If anyone's around and they see me, feel free to jump on.

@Adamjr, If you're EastEndZombie, I'll add you to my friends list tonight if you don't mind.

Maybe we need an updated list for those of us that are playing regularly? Is the first post on this thread editable to group the regular players together?

Thanks for the help with the Nightfall last night Youngsvr and s99ane, I think that's the quickest I've ever managed to complete The Summoning Pit strike and on hard mode too. Looks like we all did OK in terms of drops too. Got myself a lovely void swarm HMG which should come in handy on the raid runs thumbup

Only problem is I seem to have hit a bit of a brick wall, stuck at level 28 on my main at the whims of RNG and Xur has crapped on titans YET AGAIN. Seriously I know they are doing this on purpose now and it's kind of putting me off the game. Not sure how much longer this game is going to hold my interest now. Playing with PH'ers is about the only thing that is still keeping me interested at the moment but if anything else decent comes out for the PS4 in the next few weeks I'll probably be off.

Ah fair enough, I only have one character, don't really have enough time to try and build up another one! I am indeed EastEndZombie, will keep an eye out for your invite. I'm on every few days, and the time I have to dedicate varies but will chip in if I can. I'm hoping to get a proper headset in the next week or so, am currently using a pair of Monster headphones with a mike on the lead so don't know if people can hear me properly at the moment. Also have got a bad cough which I try to mask, apologies to all if I deafen them at times!

If you can, level up what you have to get to 29. Then if we can get at least four level 30s together, we can take you through the hard raid to see if it increases your chances of getting the armour you need (as per youngsyr's suggestion). It worked for me when I did it.

No worries, it was good fun and good teamwork. Always nice to get a new exotic at the end too! biggrin

Once you get to level 28, it's pretty much all about the Raid - first of all getting the normal raid gear and weapons, then maxing them, then getting the hard gear and weapons.

The Nightfall is a pleasant distraction and the Weekly is just there so you can get stiffed by Xur every weekend. frown

Personally, I'd only level up normal legendary gear to level 28, then keep doing the raid until I got raid armour, then I'd fully level that to take me to level 29. Then, in the absence of an exotic helmet, I'd do the hard raid until I was awarded the raid helmet.

It's worth pointing out that the Raid weapons are generally better than the exotics - they have perks on them (stability, extra ammo, element damage on a primary, etc) that really make them stand out against the other weapons in the game. They're also crucial in the Hard Raid as they do bonus damage to Oracles, which are tough little buggers in the hard mode.

I'm more than happy to chip in and help out taking level 29s through the hard raid, but unfortunately it's not a mission that you can easily carry several lower level people through, the level 29s will need to do a lot of the hard work and will need maxed out raid weapons for us to stand a chance.

When you talk about raid weapons, are you specifically talking about the weapons dropped during the raid that do the extra oracle damage etc?

I'm a (high) level 29 with maxed out void weapons, would a hard raid be futile without the raid dropped weapons?

I NEED A RAID HELMET DAGNAMMIT!!!

ps Thainy, I did the crucible element of that exotic bounty. It took me 3 hours. Let me know if you're going to bother and if you do, I'll wait for you to complete and do the last stage together if you like.

I'm maxed on what I've got.

I need a raid helmet which will get me straight to 30 after levelling up, or, get a raid chest piece, swap that for my currently equiped exotic and then buy an exotic helmet. What a mission.

Yes, I mean weapons specifically dropped during the raid, these are:

Auto rifle - Atheon's Epilogue
Pulse rifle - Praedyth's Timekeeper
Scout rifle - Vision of Confluence
Shotgun - Found Verdict
Sniper - Praedyth's Revenge
Rocket launcher - Hezen's Vengeance
HMG - Corrective measure

There are also hard raid only weapons:

Primary fusion rifle - Vex Mythoclast
Hand Cannon - Fate bringer

As shown in the pic below, these all have the "Oracle disruptor" perk on the second to last branch of the tree.

At level 29, it will take you a long time to take down Oracles without this perk on your weapon and you'll struggle with other parts of the Raid without Atheon's epilogue to strip Praetorian shields.

Bear in mind that there are no revives within phases in the hard raid, if you die, your team has to either complete that phase without you, or you all die and start the phase over. So, you're going to have to know your way around the Raid very well to avoid being killed by level 30 enemies when you're only level 29 anyway, so you should have these weapons by the time you attempt the hard raid in any case.

Anyone fancy having a crack at the hard raid tonight, say about 10pm?

If we can get past the confluxes phase, we should be able to easily snipe the Oracles and push the Templar for three relatively easy loot drops/chests.

I think we need to set a minimum level of 28 with weapons as a high a level as possible (ideally Raid and ideally level 300). If we have more than 6 people interested, then priority must go to the highest levels/weapons.

I wouldn't mind giving it a crack if I'm still on at 10pm. Both characters lvl 29 and have maxed 300 atheons epilogue, Vision of Confluence and Praedyths Revenge. Only maxed heavy I have is a void swarm (without field scout though). Will probably use warlock for the grenades and revives.

I wouldn't mind some assistance in finishing the raid today, preferably experienced folk as my check point is at the first gate keeper before boss bloke.
Combination of communication issues and lateness stopped us completing it last night.

Going to farm today with some easy missions to build up my glimmer (to buy ammo) and hopefully find some stuff to help me upgrade weapons and armour some more.

I'm a high level 28 hunter

I'd be up for that as well, level 29 warlock. My only problem is my poor weaponry, only things of note are Vision of Confluence and Pocket Infinity, both apprx 85% max. If you're desperate to make up numbers drop me an invite!

I'll be on from about 7pm till late. I'm a level 28 hunter so down the pecking order. hehe

Having said that, I have all void weapons at different levels of upgrade- Atheon's epilogue, Praedyth's Revenge and Truth. I also have a FRIKKIN AWESOME arc-blade.

I am the honey-badger of Destiny. hehe
