Well, well, well. Worked like a frikkin charm biggrin

There were a few wipes in following the video including falling off the ledge, into a pit of waiting thralls hehe and also being blown up by the lamp. A lot.

But then it came altogether and I managed to bag the raid gloves in the process. thumbup

I'm trying to solo the next part but it is tough as a hunter. The sword disappears mid-flight. frown

Cheers, Speckle, for the heads up.
If your trying to solo the next bit with the bridge and the ogres give me a shout, I know of a pretty straight forward way to do it.

No problem, glad you got it done eventually (and got the gloves!) I'm confident the bladedancer can make it round all the lamps pretty easily using a melee/crouch/super combination to wait long enough at each lamp. Only tricky bits will be the knights at lamps 9 and 13 and of course the ogre at the end.

The next bit with the Hunter is tough - you've got to be really quick after getting the sword. I haven't managed it yet, got as far as the other side once but, proceeded to fall off immediately. Friend of mine got me through but, will try again next week.

If I get time before a proper raid attempt this weekend, I may even try to solo the deathsinger.

Mr Viper just joined me to duo the bridge section. It literally took 5 mins and did not involve getting across to the other side at all!

I managed to get the raid boots! Just need the chest piece for level 32! Oh, and a censoredload of radiant shards. hehe

Happy to show anybody that needs it. In a nutshell, you just stay in the room the knight comes from before sniping from the "wrong side"

Cheers again CV...appreciated thumbup

Ascendant shards are for all armour of level 31 (33 light per item) and below, including the VoG raid armour. It is only the Crota's End raid reward armour which is level 32 (36 light per item) that requires the Radiant shards (which are only obtained through chests and rewards in the raid itself).

Hope that helps.

Tim.
It does. I've been saving shards for something that I can't use them for!!!

Will be on tomorrow day so I'll be harassing people for help with the weeklys etc.

Similar to what I did with my Warlock, except that I used self revive and, jumped to the platforms on the left (you get a bit closer so do more damage). I imagine this isn't an issue of you have icebreaker.

Did you have to activate the plate and kill the swordbearer to spawn the adds & ogres?

You still have to activate the plate but do not need to kill the sword bearer.

Yep- i dont think i had one bit of incoming fire. Just jump past the sword-bearer. Jump onto the ledge at the back of his room, then wait. After a few seconds wait and then come back out, then just snipe. smile

Thanks for the offer but, I'm good - already got the next checkpoint on both my characters. Just wanted to understand the mechanics of it.

For anyone who is interested, check out this video of the entire raid (including Crota) being solo'd without any cheesing whatsoever! My mind is blown!! spin

I may as well give up and go home...I will NEVER be anywhere close to this good. Fascinating to watch!

I'm off out at 6 but, I may try to squeeze it in before I go. 5:30 or a bit before if you're around?
