The exotics aren't DLC they are an update and available in vanilla and the Dlc. They're on offer, you just can't complete the purchase.

We got our first completion of the VoG hard raid last night. I can honestly say it was the most fun I've had playing Destiny! Everyone knew what they were doing and the whole thing went remarkably smoothly. Gatekeepers were dealt with on the first attempt and we got trhough Gorgons without any problems. Atheon took 2 attempts but, iwasn't really a problem.
Some good drops too. Two of our team got the Vex, one guy got Fatebringer, quite a bit of obsolete raid armour (I actually got a raid helmet) and lots of shards and energies.
Probably going to run through it again with my Warlock today to see if I can get a decent weapon.
Still haven't beaten Crota but, we're definitely improving so with any luck, we will get that done today too

I don't think so. The telemetry timer was on and i had space in my inventory, it was just as though I had already done it. I ran through it later on and got the rep and rewards so I think t was a glitch with the reset.I completed the daily yesterday, went back on later and it had reset. 2 lots of ascendants

Well Ive had a lucky weekend.
I got hust of the pit thanks to a fellow player who showed me whwere best place to farm it. I got it on the 6-7 try.
Then after a couple of Crucible bounties I got a Dragons Breath launcher from RNG.
Beena luck week as I got two pieces of Crota raid armour from consecutive chests, thanks to Kaney

I've hit Iron Banner pretty hard this week - must have played at least fifty rounds - but the Gods of RNG haven't favoured me with a single weapon drop above a crappy blue. On the plus side, I did get my mitts on the Iron Banner legendary sniper rifle, which I managed to re-roll to include armour-piercing rounds and the Final Round perk so not only can it shoot through walls, the final shot is a one-hit kill in PvP. It doesn't even need to be a headshot, a body shot is still a one-shot kill.
Annoyingly, in one game I did see someone awarded a legendary engram and an exotic shotgun. What annoyed me most was that the guy was AFK most of the match, recording only a single kill, no captures, no assists and a K/D of 0.04. Yes, really. I know RNG is RNG, but that felt like Destiny giving me the middle finger. I'd imagine the rest of the team - who still won, somehow - were rather narked as well.

They really need to fix RNG in the crucible - I'll post up some scoreboard screenshots when I get some spare time, but suffice to say it's ridiculous that a player that can totally dominate, carry the team and effectively win the match single handed can be rewarded with nothing, whilst someone who get's his a$$ handed to him for the entire match gets a legendary/IB weapon.Annoyingly, in one game I did see someone awarded a legendary engram and an exotic shotgun. They also need to increase the IB weapon drop frequency. I know that the IB weapons only drop once you reach rank 3, but I played something like 30 rounds of IB this time around, getting to rank 4 by Saturday, but I only saw 1 IB weapon drop and all I got was the IB ship that I already had equipped on that character!
The sniper is good though, I rerolled it to void, with field scout, mulligan and reduced recoil - a great little PvE boss killer.
Looks like it is the Nexus for the nightfall, this week with void burn. Happy days as this is easy to cheese and I have the new raid Shotgun. I tried it yesterday in PvP and it is a beast!

I'll also be up for Crota's End. I can solo the first 2 sections so there's a chance of drops for all in the team. After that, there is the timed chest (which we nailed last week) and then only 2 phases to the end. Bring it.

Still managing to enjoy the game with a bit of co-op play and really hoping they sort it all out for the next DLC. I hear rumours that the development team have already been moved on to Destiny 2 though? Would make sense if they're looking for a 2016 release as it must take at least a year to develop a new game?
Nexus was straight forward at level 28 - I expect it may be more tricky at level 30 as the Nexus' bolts are void and with the void burn modifier the splash damage is pretty high when you're at the front of the tunnel.
The minotaurs might be a bit of a handful too, as even a level 31 will only have 1 level advantage against them rather than the 2 level advantage for a level 30 player at level 28 strike.
Looking forward to giving my IB sniper an outing, but it may be back to the trusty VoG sniper as my IB one isn't maxed out.
