RNG hates me.
I jumped on yesterday having got excited by reports that the Nightfall was dropping a load of Ice Breakers and also Gjallahorns for those in need, i.e. me. Maybe Bungie were feeling particularly generous in this festive period?! I hoped so.
Jumped onto the Nightfall with Messrs 'Storm and 'Stimpy, and whatdoyaknow?! I get a purple drop! Things are looking good!
. After a couple of silly wipes, we managed to finish it smoothly. What did I get?! A fecking useless auto rifle that was sharded immediately. Pants.
Right. Purple drop time. It reveals to be...... a fecking legendary fusion rifle... that I've ALREADY got.
Nevermind, Stormy and I decide to smash through the first 3 phases of Crota's End and pick up the chests. I was buoyed by him stating that he had already got the first chest and managed to get Dragon's Breath (but didn't even know what it was!). We get through the lamps (getting the chest for me on the way) and then get across the bridge and then deal with the sword-bearer/Ogres for drop number 3.
What did I get?! Fecking Shards. Nothing but Shards. What did he get?! His missing piece of raid armour.
Totally gutted, we ended up on patrol on Mars and into a public event. We finished that with a gold rating and he got some AS and I got... nothing. Nothing immediately and nothing with the postman. The final kick in the teeth was his comment of "...I killed a knight on patrol and got some crappy gun- the husk or summat..."
RNG hates me.
Still, it is the season for goodwill so best not gripe too much, particularly as I finally got my hands on Pocket Infinity. No doubt I'll catch some of you over the next few days (pre and post-turkey).

). The RNG is so odd in this game it's laughable. I did a load of Crucible matches after our Nightfall yesterday and in one I got 2 legendary weapons, even though I performed pants in that round. Everything else I got pretty much nothing, despite coming top 1 or 2 in most matches.
Sorry for not having a mic last night. Turns out my Mrs took my headphones to the gym without checking. I know what I'll be getting her for Xmas.

The RNG gods have been shining on me this week. Recorded my first Hard mode completion on VoG and got the Mythoclast, plus a Mk1 Gjallahorn.
Then yesterday I did the nightfall and got a Mk2 Gjallahorn, plus I went down and grabbed the first chest in CE and picked up a Monte Carlo on my 3rd character.

All this as I hear "oh yes!" from those in the fireteam. Then yesterday I did the nightfall and got a Mk2 Gjallahorn, plus I went down and grabbed the first chest in CE and picked up a Monte Carlo on my 3rd character.
As it is clear that Bungie hates my Hunter and the nappy on his head, I think I'll focus on my Warlock.

It's actually very useful for Nightfalls with arc burn, even if not fully mixed out.
I feel bad saying this after your RNG nightmare but, I have been smiled on this week. 2 hard raids and 2 Crota completions got me:-

Time breaker

Sword breaker shotgun
Crota rocket launcher
Crota machine gun

Cor blimey, you're right! It has a great fire rate and strips captains' shields in seconds. I've got the hang of using it and now just want the field scout perk to unlock. It's actually very useful for Nightfalls with arc burn, even if not fully mixed out.

All of the VoG weapons are pretty good, some are better than exotics.Speckle- get bent.
The pulse rifle has 42 rounds with field scout, fires a 4th round if any in the burst miss and causes additional precision damage if you hit the body first.
Plus it does arc damage, so all in all, pretty handy.
Fatebringer (VoG hand cannon) is supposed to be even better.
