As they both paint a picture of what to expect and how if you think level 20 is the end you've barely scratched the surface. I just got myself up to level 26 last night and I'm still finding myself thinking about the game and what to do next, in much the same way as I did with World of Warcraft many years ago.

I'm really struggling to get beyond level 20 with any character. No amount of farming or strike missions seem to give any decent gear.

I'm the same, it definitely slows down. I'm at 22 currently and progress seems pretty slow. I'm doing the Vanguard and Queens bounties and the occasional strike (I have no interest in PvP so, not bothering with the crucible). I hate the idea of farming outside a cave or whatever it is I keep reading about so, not going to bother with that either.

I tried the daily heroic mission last night solo but, it was a bit much to handle on my own so, need to get a fireteam together for that!

It is beginning to feel like the only options I have are to replay stuff I've already done for a bounty or attempt missions that are insanely hard with no middle ground. I shall try the Queens Wrath mission tonight but, I don't fancy my chances unless someone joins me!

The legendary/exotic gear had better be worth it!!

Thanks, was a good blast...I'm sure the game has been tweaked as some of the end of level bad guys seem much tougher.

Should be on again tonight all being well..the wife's off out...lol

With all the blue engrams I got last night I managed to hit level 21 so should be a bit more help now. We should try and get three and do the daily heroic mission?

Anyone know what was in the update this morning. I seemed to come across more loot chests, but could have been coincidence.

Reduced the number of elite mobs in a couple of missions to stop over-farming of them and reduce the difficulty for lower-level players. Only other change was for some armour from the Future War Cult where it was asking for Ascendant Orbs which don't exist (at least not yet) in order to upgrade it, so they've changed that to ascendant shards.

Hey Guys, A must during the Queen’s limited period task thingy is the Story based mission. It should show on the left side of your ‘Set Destination’ screen (where all the planets are). You can run through it 4 times and each time you unlock a piece of her Legendary Armour.

Be warned though it is tough. If you’re level 22 or less I would advise getting a posse together to do it. The end boss is very weak to Fire element Rocket Launchers and was the easiest part.

The Armour has Light +18 on every piece, so a very easy way to get levelled up quickly. Its stats are also very similar/ identical to the other Legendary Armour you can purchase or find.

Couple of things, you only get the legendary gear if you have a 'Queen's Wrath' on you when you finish the mission, you get one of these for each of her bounties you complete. So you can't do it for times and expect loot unless you have 4 Queen's Wrath.

Secondly it will give you a random mission each time, so if you find that mission tough, go back to orbit and try for another, so the end boss won't always be weak to fire. Check the icons for the modifiers in the mission by bringing up your ghost and use the appropriate elemental weapons.

I'm also keen but, not confident! I tried this (the Restoration mission as I'd heard it was the easiest) early last night and it was literally impossible for me! As soon as I got hit with anything, and I do mean anything, I died instantly from a full health bar!! I think the Restoration mission requires Arc modifiers although I wasn't really aware of these before the mission (I think I dies 20 times before giving up!)

Good fun last night - sorry I had to bail after just the one mission, lots of early starts this week!!

I'm also wondering when exactly I can buy legendary armour? I've got 23 Vanguard points (rep points I think?), I thought once I had 20 it became available. What am I missing?

You need to be level 2 in the Vanguard faction to buy the armour and level 3 to buy the guns, check your level by speaking to your class-specific vanguard handler. You'll also need about 60 vanguard points to get leg, arm or chest armour and 120 or so to get a helmet. You earn faction points by doing the bounties, public events and the daily missions. But you'll need to make sure you're not wearing a class item from one of the other factions (future war cult etc.) otherwise those points won't go towards your vanguard rank and will go towards that faction instead.
