You can buy vanguard armour to get you to lvl 31 which would make raiding alot easier (which is what I did with Hunter #2)

Yes, excellent stuff. I was quite pleased with that. Flawless Raider next!

Well done guys on 2x HM Crota completions. We worked very well as a team and only wiped a few times on the second run due to silly mistakes. Those on boomer duty for the 2nd run were fantastic

I'm chuffed to bits with 2x the scout rifle, a 2nd Dragons Breath as well as, finally, the chest piece for my 2nd Hunter. I just need to level that up for 2 32 Hunters. Just the chest piece for the crappy Warlock left to get.

I've still not gotten around to doing the Crota raid. I've popped in there a coupe of times to run around the lamps but got killed way too quickly.

I've got a L31 Hunter and L31 Titan so if any of you are doing it again soon and fancy showing a newbie around, let me know.

All good fun as usual chaps, clearly I missed a second run-through but, never mind.

Still have a hard raid left to do over the weekend (I promised mars I would wait and do it with him) and most of a normal raid.

Funny thing happened this morning - I ran through the lamps on normal with Baby Hunter and, as I was switching armour around at the start, I noticed something I hadn't realised before....she already has the raid boots I thought I needed for lvl 32!! Erm, oops - I wonder how long they've been there!! So, I'm just a few shards short of 3 x lvl 32s which hopefully I'll get over the weekend.

Some other advice - don't run the lamps without Black Hammer and only 1 rocket for your gjallahorn. The ogre will surely kill you while you're fumbling about with ammo packs!!

I must say that ive lost the love for the game and now with the mrs close to maternity i doubt il have the time get it back.The repettion has worn me down , id rather play DC and GTA really badly instead.

Dont get me wrong i will be about for the odd nightfall or raid if anyone messages me when they are short.

Xur isn't really selling anything of note again. Weapon is Dragons Breath. Some people might be interested in the Don't Touch me Gaunts, but thats about it.

Noticed you hadn't been on much lately, especially on Nightfall night.

I went through a similar phase about a month ago but, the banter and the gunplay lured me back in. Maybe the same will happen to you?

Any Hunters without the don't touch me gauntlets, they are a 'must buy' purchase for the lamps but, will drop you to a lvl 31 if you don't have a raid helmet so, hard raid abyss still very tough!!

Ahh, that explains why I'm seeing so many level 31 bods running around the place then, I didn't realise you could buy your way to level 31 (takes me ages to obtain anything)

So VoG raid these days is only really for the chance of picking up some of the cool weapons (Fatebringer, Jiggyhorn, etc) rather than obtaining any useful armour since that raid gear will only take you to level 30 as I understand it as it wasn't upgraded as part of the DLC?

Best get earning more of those Vanguard Marks then!

BTW, anyone else had a glitch whilst doing a "Defend Warsat" public event? Normally it's a piece of cake but a couple of times recently one of the last bad guys to drop has been tough as anything to the point where they don't seem to take any damage at all even with 3 / 4 of us pounding him? Cost me a couple of gold completions annoyingly.

You've hit the nail on the head. VoG is still useful to you at this stage for ascendant materials to upgrade your vanguard armour and for weapon drops (and for fun, obviously!) but, the VoG armour is only lvl 30 so, totally redundant now.

If so thats due to one of the knights being a total bd. Hes park of one of the exotic bounties.

He took 4 Giggyhorns off me last night and and asked for more.

We ended up stripping his shields with arc fusiuon then blasting the st out of him. Got the job done but we only got silver rating as Quietstorm had the bounty for the fecker.

Is this Warsat on Skywatch Earth? If so it's probably Urzok the Hated; he's part of the Urn of Sacrifice quest from Eris Morn and he is indeed Nails!

No as it happens - it happened once on Mars (The Barrens) and again on the Moon (Archer's Line). They didn't have distinctive names either that I recall, but the one on Mars had solar shields and 6 shots from an almost fully upgraded Icebreaker didn't even take the shield down, hence why I thought it was glitched.

Wandered into the VoG raid yesterday on my own to take a look around - got totally confused as to what to do and died within 20 seconds anyhow. Left shortly after

Going to blow my Motes on the exotic helmet engram in the hope it decodes to the Helm of the Saint-14 for my Titan as the perks are really cool, although I won't hold my breath. Did the same last week only to get a helmet for a Hunter which thankfully one of my alts could make use of (really must use that character some more thinking about it)

Doh! Didn't even know it varied from week to week, that's how little "currency" I've collected in my time with the game

Also, I'm getting increasingly frustrated at being excluded from the daily / weekly heroic missions because they are DLC only. I guess that's the point at being forced to buy it and that's been well discussed before, however I still shelled out £40 odd for the original game that I can't play to the full any longer

Are the new missions in the DLC all level 30+ in any case i.e. they assume you've maxed out in the main game?
