The main downside of this is that there's only 2 TDB missions for them to do! They could at least add the Urn mission in.
As said either buy the LE of the game and sell yours (you get a ghost in game and some cool little bits and pieces) or at least buy the expansion pass rather than the two seperately.
Word of Crota had a work-out today. With the help of Lovechild (cheers dude) and his mate, I smashed through 2 Nightfalls and 2 Weeklies. Just the one more set to go through tonight with daddy hunter. 
No decent drops- a helmet that I already had and Dead Orbit's HMG.
Top tip- for those that have it, Black Hammer works an absolute treat on the Archon Priest for the Nightfall. We managed to pin him down and take more than 1/2 of his health away before the first wave spawned...
... of course that meant that the first wave almost killed us.

OK, so I need the chest piece or helmet to get my Titan to level 32, so I thought I'd have a go at solo'ing the lamps first thing after reset so that if I dropped either I could level them up with XP from the weekly/nightfall.
I used the rock jump cheese, with bubble and helm of Saint-14 (blinds enemies that enter the bubble), but my helemt is a fully maxed original version (I am truly old school!), so only has 30 light, and as I haven't levelled up the arms or legs I've got from the Raid, I'm only level 30 with that helmet equipped.
Anyway, managed to crack the normal mode after a few attempts, so thought I'd have a crack at hard mode, and after a lot of shouting and cursing, I cracked that too - still at level 30!

Dude, I'm torn. I'd also love that launcher and another black hammer (and an easier way to get my Warlock's chest piece!), but I am loathe to forgo the double drops of the hard raid this early on from its release. I "need" a second Word of Crota and would quite like the helmet as well. I know that drops on the easy version but not as frequently.Hmmmm.

Bad Juju is my new fave gun, it's the auto reload when you kill someone that does it. At the start it was alright but could only really kill low level baddies sucessively, as the damage has increased, so has it's usefulness. Not the most effective, but certainly one of the most fun and it looks cool as f

If you ever want back up for solo lamps Youngs, give me a shout. I can distract at the start and revive to make the bridge if you succumb at the end, i.e, you do all the hard work whilst I bathe in your superiority and get some loot.
I saw a video last night where someone jumped into the room above the deathsinger. Has anyone tried it and do you think it has merit?

Hard Mode can drop all the Normal Mode loot, just it's got 2 chances instead of one.
If it's like VoG, it's better to do the normal raid first if you're looking for normal raid gear or hard raid first if you're looking for hard raid gear.Reason being is that on the phase clearance drops you get a total of two times the drop opportunity per week split between normal and hard.
If you do hard first, you get both drops from the "hard reward tables", which include the normal items. So you could potentially get two hard items per drop.
You then don't get any rewards if you do the normal raid later.
If you do normal first, you get 1 drop opportunity on each normal end of phase drop, which can only be from the normal reward tables.
If you then do the hard raid, you get your second drop from the hard rewards table, which includes the normal reward items.
Bottom line is, if you need armour pieces, better to do normal raid first, as there are less non-armour reward items in the normal reward table.

I can now solo the lamps with my titan and my hunter, which gives me the bridge checkpoint, which we can cheese with just my Warlock and two others, so pretty much an easy ride right up to Deathsinger CP on hard.

One of my group tried it during Ir Yut, it can be used, but it's not useful. Very picky about where you're stood, and you can still die. Unsure if it would useful at all for Crota.As far as I can see its Warlock only without supers to make the final gap.

I had a test run before the reset. On my own so obviously the wizards/shreikers were still active. I shot her with my icebreaker and no hit registered, I then hit here with an armour piercing sniper from the same position and it registered as "immune". I think she can only sustain damage post shrieker kills, but can be shot from anywhere with armour piercers.As far as I can see its Warlock only without supers to make the final gap.
My 2 hard mode attempts have been with 2 32s and 4 31s. We managed to get the DS down to a bit less than half on our best attempt, I do see how we could gain a good 20 seconds on the wizard/shreiker section though. Having someone above, ready to shoot her would be beneficial.
