Yeah enjoyed it aswell, shame we couldn't quite finish him off. I'll try and get on again this evening as I'd love to complete it.

Played some crucible for the 1st time in ages last night. Only recently finished upgrading my Thorn, so thought I'd give it a go and see what the fuss is about.

Was rocking Thorn, LDR and blink. Me Likeshoot

So which of the exotic bounties would you say are worth pursuing? I've got the one for Thorn now (but not started on it yet) and I've got to choose another from the bounty bloke although not sure what they are off the top of my head.

Any suggestions?

I would choose Toland's Legacy to get you bad Juju, it's fairly decent and the instant reload on a kill can be really useful.

Cheers, Bad Juju it is smile Just need a heroic weekly / nightfall next week to kick it off

As an aside, does anyone use the PSN name "quivv3r" on here? I received a friend request on Friday and I don't recognise the name at all. Was received when I was offline.

Edited for poor spelling - stupid iPad predictive text. And that I should have checked the players list in post #1 first

Yep on quivv3r, and yep on JuJu (soon to get a buff as well).

Thorn and JuJu are 2 of my favourite guns.

I've had a mixed week really.

On the positive side, I finally managed to get my hands on two of my most-wanted, though cruelly they came mere hours apart; Heart of Praxic Fire and the Warlock raid chest piece. HoPF looks amazing, but as I don't yet have a raid helmet, if I want to hit 32, I need to use the raid chest armour and roll with Obsidian Mind. No real hardship, it puts me in a much stronger position to hit up Crota Hard Mode.

I also picked up an upgraded Voidfang Vestments from Xur (about damn time!) as they're my PvP go-to, bought a boat load of heavy ammo synths and secured both Hard Light and Monte Carlo from Crota and Atheon respectively.

Downsides? Got crap on Nightfall again, I still don't have Gajllarhorn, and despite another Hard Mode VoG run, I find myself going another week without Fatebringer, Vision of Confluence or the almighty Vex. I'm certain at this stage I'm simply destined to never posses them...

If anyone's around tonight I've got a Crota's End normal checkpoint (Crota himself) I'd like to finish before the reset (probably won't be on tomorrow night). I'll be on from about 9pm, will be iron bannering but just shoot me an invite/message and I'll jump out (EastEndZombie). Cheers all!

OK, so I tried out my sniper with shoot to loot and found that the ammo did indeed disappear after one shot but the amount of ammo received seemed to vary with each shot so mixed results really. I'll keep the gun in my inventory though, just in case.

Got a second "Husk of the Pit" too which will probably just end up gathering dust in the vault as I've not done much with the first one (need something like 500 hive kills with it to even unlock the first stage so grinding "The Dark Beyond" is required)

Here's hoping the new Nightfall / Weekly is kind so that I can have a crack at that and hence do something different this week and bag something decent (c'mon RNGesus, one Giggyhorn please!). Need to start on those exotic bounties too although as they both require you to spend time in the Crucible, it could be a long journey smile

Did that in under 10 minutes, first moon mission where Dinklebot shouts "We've woken the hive!" after the cut scene. Shoot loads of hive there, ignoring the knight, get killed, repeat.

I managed to get my first Suros yesterday thereby landing the last exotic that I was missing (and wanted). Happy days. biggrin

It was quite strange actually- we beat Crota and there was no notification on screen- just a (7th!) Fang of Ir Yut and shards. We got to the tower and there was nothing at the Postmaster. Then, it just appeared on the right of my screen and then in my primary slots. There was space in those slots throughout the Crota fight and even after the Fang dropped in as well. Weird.

Anyway, I am quite enjoying it (pew, pew, pew hehe) although I'm not convinced it justifies an exotic slot. The Abyss Defiant seems just as good in most scenarios. smile

I managed to pick up a 2nd Thorn bounty so happy to jump in with anybody that needs to complete it. smile Also, I have 2 more weeklies to run tonight, in case anybody else is in the same boat thumbup

Yep, that's The Dark Beyond mission and the one I was going to target as and when I get to level 3 with Eris so that I can buy the embalming orb to change the Husk into Eidolon Ally

Ah, I saw you put 'Dark Beyond' and my mind translated it to the Dark Below, where you'd probably spend a lot longer doing the same thing. As you were!

I use it at the start of the Crota fight. When you have the Suros perk, there is a (pretty good) chance that killing an enemy with the last half of the magazine will regen your health. It's useful if no orbs are spawned or your character doesn't have the necessary armour for health regen.

Ah, that explains people opting for that both for the lamps and when leaving the Ogre room. Nice perk. smile

Having said that, as you experienced first hand, I'm usually the first to leave/reach the next lamp thereby ensuring the least amount of flak. hehe

If you can invest time in it, play with friends and enjoy XP/equipment based progression along with the FPS genre. Then yes.

I need to do the final stage on thorn. I'll be on tomorrow night from 7 for a couple of hours, if you fancy it and the new weeklies then?
