Well, here is the video of the carnage from Thursday night. Warning- it is a bit long and I've already trimmed it a fair bit. That being so, in order to set the scene:-

- This lot had already killed about 5 to 6 Ogres as seen on my screen (I joined late and so dead at the start... hence why i was just watching).
- Kaney fell off the bridge and ended up at the start hence me getting revived.
- The video starts just before we see you lot causing carnage in the distance. It was worth keeping that!
- The number of people using No Land Beyond for this is/was obscene. hehe
- I think it was about 16-18 Ogres that spawned in total.
- My fall right at the end was shameful as was the number of my own G-horn rockets taken to the face frownhehe

This new game of "leaving no man behind" as well as killing EVERYTHING is epic biggrin
Dude, Kaney didn't fall off the bridge - he actually went to revive you! Awesome video thumbup I have a similar one from last week where we employed the same strategy although, for once I think we all made it to the plate.

Yeah, there seems to be a clan obsession with minecraft at the moment. So, I tried out the demo but, I just don't see the appeal - The blocky graphics are so bad, my eyes were offended! I'm certainly not going to waste £13 of perfectly good beer money on it!!

You can all get bent. hehe

As for MC, I agree it isn't my thing. Having said that, from what I recall a few (including Mars!) were playing on Saturday and from the party chat, it sounded like they were having fun. It is better in a group by all accounts.

Battlefield is out in 2 weeks so that may be what we need to freshen things up.

Cheers

Nah, nothing good. Killz got a monte carlo which he's already got. Carbon and I got a load of purple rubbish, although Carbon got shafted for shards as well.

I'm warming to P&T. It just seems a bit slow and unwieldy to me. Humongously stable though.

I still have to get P&T but I absolutely love Black Hammer atm. Specially on Septiks Prime, precision shots the entire way through and you never have to reload it.

I'll be on later from around 7 doing nightfall and weeklys if anyone is about.

Did the level 30 weekly with a couple of match made guys and actually found it a little tough. Could be that I don't have a particularly good load out for arc damage (no arc primary), could be that there were no comms between us or it could be that I was a bit crap hehe

Those cloaked stealth vandals were a nightmare with lightswitch and the Captains are a one shot melee kill too.

Thunderlord as a machine gun didn't seem all that good (might change when upgraded), bit too unstable and arc shotguns aren't a good idea either as you need to get too darn close to do any real damage

Still it was pretty good fun and we got there in the end, although Sepkis didn't go down nearly as quickly as in lovechild's video

2 videos from last night:

Speckle's (aka Speckle Brew) novel approach to swordbearing, and you say that I have some funny ideas on how to do things! See if you can spot the deliberate mistake.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9veWf9w3FQA

And just to balance things out, me demonstrating how not to operate a noob tube, and why simpletons shouldn't be allowed to operate heavy artillery.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5B8HWawhQpI

Terrific fun though.

Haha - I had genuinely forgotten that one, still not sure it actually happened... (too much Belgian beer perhaps?!!) your n00bish 'bubble then rockets' effort is brilliant!! thumbup Had a real blast yesterday trying to solo/two man/ three man (still sounds very wrong!) and four man Crota. Still can't believe we didn't get him mad

By way of redressing the balance, this is the video of my best solo effort yesterday.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fGJWqjOQfy4

Looks to me like the wolfpack rounds on the first rocket didn't deploy, which is why he didn't go down the second time!

I got shafted with shards, energies and a hmg which got instantly scrapped as the perks were rubbish. I looked at the time it took us to kill Sepiks through the share function and it took us 11 seconds....

I will also hold up my hand here as I may have been a wee bit late calling out that I was popping a bubble (oh er missus etc.), while lacking Speckle brew I did by this point locate some long lost Lemoncello in the freezer which may or may not have contributed to the fun / coordination.

Agree it was a great laugh though and I think we can do it with three.
Maybe we need bungie to add it to the weekly strike list.

Good effort.
It's the inconsistencies in Crota's behaviour that makes it so hard. If I (or whoever wasn't swordbearing) had a Gjallarhorn, we'd walk it as a duo. Trying the blackhammer/truth/gjalla route to down him, there's too many variables. I've no doubt it's possible if he reacted the same way to same damage every time.
