Last night was prime example I was the only bugger to make it to the room while the old gits like Mr Spectacular were bringing up the rear.

Incidentally, I wasn't bringing up the rear exactly, I had strategically blown myself up to distract the thrall

I think as a scout rifle, the multi tool doesn't hold up that well against other decent scout rifles. Don't necessarily think of it as a gun though Moog, more a tool to make you more agile, and for this reason alone it's worth it.
It's makes the lamp cheese easier, I always equip it for the bridge jump cheese (although this may have no bearing as you've got the sword anyway), and as the Shane the Gjigolo rightly says, it makes the thrallway almost a certainty.
I've earned a lot more raid weapons/armour/materials with my M.I.D.A than my Gjiggly.
What if the next raid has sections that favour agility? It's too specialist a perk to turn down lightly.

Quite a lot of positive views for the MIDA in this and preceeding posts, and I suppose anything that would make my Titan shift his arse quicker through the lamps can only be a good thing. OK, sold - I'll pick one up next time I'm in there, I'm relatively loaded with 41 strange coins. Also, now that I have Black Hammer, losing Icebreaker as exotic weapon choice isn't so painful. I might even loan it to my Hunter as he's a squeak away from 31 both as a Blade Dancer & Gun Slinger and could use a good sniper.

You're not wrong, it was hilarious. Both Arcite 99-40 and Xur were described as females! The PSN software update and associated reset put a spanner in the works. She did do surprisingly well though and didn't end up spending all my Strange Coins on some pointless exotic for another class. I was going to get her to wander to the Gunsmith to trade it in but at £1/minute I decided to end the call! 
With Xur helpfully selling Ruin Wings this week, I now have every piece of exotic armour in the game. 
The only exotic weapon I'm missing is Gjallerhorn and frankly, after 50 raids, a similar number of Nightfalls and God knows how many crucible games, I'm fed up of even trying to get it.
I'm still scratching around trying to find a truly top class game to pump my spare time into, but there just doesn't seem to be anything out there? Anyway, I picked up Sniper Elite 3 to fill in the time now until House of Wolves, hopefully that will keep me occupied. Anyone else got it?

Just read the Bungie Vault Space update - there will be space for another 16 weapons (good) but only 4 more each for armour and general items. 
Given that HoW will no doubt have new materials to grind to stop those who have horded the old stuff in the dead time between releases from completing the DLC upgrades on day one and I already don't have space in there for all the general items, it's a complete farce.

Yeah, the 16 extra weapon slots are going to be very gratefully received, but the increase of only four slots in general is disappointing. Don't get me wrong, it's better than nothing, but very shortly I'm going to be deleting my secondary Warlock to create a Titan, and I've got an inventory full of telemetries, synths, ships, shaders etc that I simply don't have room to move before deleting. Some of those I'm going to lose.

HM Crota run tomorrow? I'd be happy to make up the numbers, but I'm only a 31 and have only seen bits of HM if you are looking for more experienced crew. I plan to be on tomorrow afternoon and need those shards to get to 32 (lots of them at last count)
Be quite interested in a normal run with my hunter too as he's never been through it and needs the armour. I'll get him to 31 with a few bounties beforehand, although thinking about it, he's a 31 already as a blade dancer (different helmet to the gunslinger)
