We can hit it tomorrow aftenoon if you like Moog. I'll Gjally and you can MIDA.

If you go back to the start for the chest on that character though, you'll lose the CP.

Sounds like a plan, thanks. I still have the CP as I've not been back into CE since we finished. I'll be on around 12.30 all being well and will drop you a message if I see that you are on.

It's a date! Send me a message if I'm playing Alien and I'll jump over. Still got a NF and couple of weeklies left as well.

OK will do and I still have one weekly to run too and happy to help with the Nightfall. "Truth" really shines on this one (assuming we're cheesing up on the ledge). Gazza you're more than welcome to jump in

I'm happy to report that, for me at least, that cruel twist of fate didn't happen. 2 x NF yesterday evening netted 11 strange coins (yep, happy with that) and a Dragon's Breath exotic rocket launcher that I didn't have so v.happy with that one as I'm short of decent rocket launchers. No tracking sadly, but still good thumbup

Cheers to Carbon and Stimps for the runs. Was touch and go at one point and it was only Carbon's self-res stopped a wipe at the Nexus. That splash damage was hitting us when stood nowhere near the edge!

Nice. I got a legendary pulse rifle. It got sharded. I really don't use them.

The splash damage was so annoying, I ran it with some randoms from LFG. It was cheesed and killed the nexus fairly quickly I thought. One the easiest Nightfalls I've done in a long time. The truth was really good for void damage. I may actually have to fully upgrade it at some point. I saw you and stimpy online at the tower, I was ganna see if you were raiding but I decided other things required my attention.

I'm ganna spend the bank holiday weekend getting my second character up I think. I need extra chances at nightfall and strikes. Not that I don't already have a collection of exotics that aren't upgraded yet.

Well, my near 2 weeks off from Destiny came to an end last night. 3 x Nightfalls netted me coins and crap. hehe

I'm not quite sure what I was expecting- I have 3 x 32s and with Hardlight purchased from the other week, every exotic and every raid weapon... save for the HoC rage

HoW can't come soon enough. Back to BFH in the meantime. smile

Last night made me realise that there really is no point in me doing Nightfalls anymore. No matter what I get, I'm disappointed with it. 2 Nightfalls got me a decent LDR sniper and my second Hawkmoon and I wasn't the least bit excited about either one.

I'll still be raiding now and then when people are on but, I think BFH will be taking up most of my time from here on in smile

You saying BFH online is decent? I'm still undecided whether to take the plunge and buy it.

I'm really enjoying it and, that is coming from someone who is truly terrible at it!! Even the single player campaign is pretty decent, albeit quite short but, the multiplayer is massively frustrating but tremendous fun! If you're familiar with BF and have some idea what you're doing already, I think you'll enjoy it.

I was ready for something different having sunk so many hours into Destiny over the last 6 months.

As a game, it isn't as good as BF4. For me, it is more fun though and the change of "scene" much better. Squad play is as fun as ever.

Speckle, it will come together slowly. You'll start to anticipate player movement so you're more likely to get the drop on people. smile

By the time HoW drops, you'll complete the Thorn bounty within an hour.

I'm definitely thinking about it more. Checking the killcam for enemy positions and if they're camping, thinking of ways to get to them (got the drop on 3 prone campers this morning as a result thumbup )

But, mostly I get shot by people I haven't seen from who knows where. Hopefully as I get guns levelled up with new barrels and grips, my mid range accuracy will improve too.

Like I said, very frustrating but, tremendous fun!! biggrin

Agree with Nightfalls. They're only really good for the xp boost, and I'm not upgrading anything so largely pointless. It's pot luck whether you get anything decent and I've pretty much got everything decent. The only thing I'd like from the game is Thunderlord and HoC and they're not essential for me. I got 2 x Light Beyond Nemesis for the Nightfalls, and I've already got 2.

I've got 3 or 4 exotics that I've not upgraded and can't be arsed with doing so. I'll wait until HoW and upgrade them alongside new legendary weapons that I acquire.

I've not bothered with dailies for a long time, and yesterday was the first time that I wasn't going to bother with the resets, but saw a couple of people were on so decided to jump in.

The weekend's hard VoG and CE were hilarious though (Super Good Advice kicks arse on the Oracles).

I'm still learning the choke points for the various maps. We have little chance against those that are already level 100+ that know them inside out. eek Having said that, trying to flank/taking the long way round is ALWAYS preferable.

Another thing is to check with squad-mates about how exposed they are to avoid being killed as soon as you spawn in. I am very bad at this- I like to just jump in.

Oh yes, they were very good fun! And that gun on the Oracles is outstanding - we have struggled so much in the past with loadouts for hard mode Oracles and it just melted them!! Crota was fun - we were very lucky to stumble upon a good sword guy for the Crota fight! Apologies for bailing, I was too drunk and too tired to continue for what could potentially have been another hour!! Did you complete it in the end?

I do that all the time as I want to be where the action is....spawn then die, spawn then die, spawn then die! I also need to give up on levelling my current guns and go for the M16A3 and the M416. I hear they're very good!

Yep. Sod's law, you go and we complete 15 mins later. That's why people never like to bail as it's always the "this time" mentalitylaugh

Neither of us are HM sword veterans and the chap did know what he was doing, but no more than you or I, he'd just had more experience. It still took us about an hour at Crota and I'm 99% sure that if I had an hour swordbearing on HM, it'd get done eventually. At 1AM though, I thought it right to make way for the more experienced player. As you know, and contrary to popular belief, it's not all about the sword. You need the whole team 100% in sync and a glitch free run. Sometimes it clicks straight away, sometimes it doesn't.

I've had 2 x 15 minute stints on HM sword, and got to Ogres. I need a completion dagnammit!!

Figured that might happen, we were repeatedly getting very, very close!!

I'm not bothered about a HM sword completion anymore. Maybe in the early days with the regular fireteam I would have been but, we always had Kaney who has a natural aptitude for all things gaming so, it never really occurred to the rest of us to try the sword.

Mechanics and timing for the sword are identical to normal mode but, as you have to get twice as many swords with all the extra damage being dished out by the adds, there is just more opportunity for things to go tits up, especially with an inexperienced or underpowered team.

Well no, the dagnammit implied I'm more bothered than I actually am. I would like to complete the raid solo and legit (only Crota to finish and I've come within 1 sword swipe twice!) and HM sword completion, for nothing more than self satisfaction. Oh and wouldn't mind a non cheese flawless either.
