If you see me online then I"d be up for some of that although at this stage I dont know what I"m doing today / tomorrow. I have the Crota CP on my hunter if we want a quick completion (in theory at least). Sadly I ran out of time Friday when trying to finish it with Stimps, Carbon and Tim. I've lost the same CP on my titan by accident though.
Pleased to report that my 100% record of getting lost in the Abyss is intact and ended up going all the way back to the start to grab a newly joined Carbon instead
In other news, I bought the Don't Touch Me gauntlets for my hunter from Xur only then to realise I have nothing other than exotic helmets for that char so can't actually equip or use them Don't have enough marks to buy a vanguard helmet either so I guess they will have to wait for now. Picked up some raid boots though and another 7 shards so just 14 away now from 32 on the titan

Maybe we could go on a Gjally hunt for those without. If people want to run Ir Yut/Crota/Atheon checkpoints for exotic drops, then do a full run or two?
I never know the optimal way to run them. I think if you do it on normal first, you still get a second chance on hard. If you do it on hard first, does the loot obtained from that act as a double drop and negates then doing it on normal?
Think it varies from Raid to Raid. On VoG, you get the same number of drops whether you do hard first or normal then hard, so best to just to Hard.Maybe we could go on a Gjally hunt for those without. If people want to run Ir Yut/Crota/Atheon checkpoints for exotic drops, then do a full run or two?

On Crota, you only get the Deathsinger drop once regardless of which level you do first, so might as well do it on easy. Then you get the same number of drops for killing Crota doing it normal first and then hard, or just jumping straight to hard, so optimal (for time) is to do it on Hard.
On both VoG and Crota there are some Raid weapons and armour that you can only get on Hard or Normal though, so if you want a particular Raid item, you have to adjust to suit.
Don't Touch Me are situational, but they're great for the Abyss. Pop them on, grab your Mida and you can run through faster than the Thrall can catch you, even with Weight of Darkness. You can solo Normal mode every time, and HM as well, dependant on your luck with the positioning of the ogre at the end - I had him damn-near teleport right in front of me on a couple of occasions!
I deleted my second Warlock just now, in the process of starting from scratch with Titan so if anyone sees me online, I'm more than happy to have a stab at either Raid. I still need that gjally!

Yeah, this will be one of each class. The Warlock and Hunter are both 32 now, so fancied a bit more variety, especially given as I'm sitting on a ton of Titan gear in my vault. I'm currently working on Defender subclass as I see more PvE utility from Ward of Dawn than from Striker's Fist of Panic.

That last sentence means nothing to me (although I have been FoP'd many times in crucible).I might make a Titan when I've finished maxing my hunter. The problems is that I've had the last bit of 32 armour for my hunter since Tuesday and I couldn't be bothered to do any bounties to level it up. I need 20 odd sapphire wires but can't be bothered to go out of my way to get them. A few weeks ago, I would have got the armour on Tuesday and it'd be maxed by Wednesday. Now?.......meh. I should do it as swordbearing as a hunter is much more effective than as a warlock.

Defender class is only really useful when playing as part of a team of friends, otherwise striker is the way to go - not only fist of panic, but also the unstoppable shoulder charge. Davie_GLA said:
I would love to get back into this but seem to have zero time and it's not a game you can just pick up for a quick blast.
Few of my mates are playing it and spend hours doing just one raid?
Yes and no. The game is dependant on both your rank, and that of your friends. If you want to play with your mates, then it is important to keep pace so you're progressing as a team. If you're a low level, then it obviously makes sense to play with other low levels as you'd be doing the same missions, facing the same challenges etc. If all your mates are miles ahead then there is quite a disparity in what you can do.Few of my mates are playing it and spend hours doing just one raid?
Saying that, all the match making content is viable, you just run the risk of randoms.
I had about 20 mins earlier, so thought I'd grab the 1st crota chest and do my last weekly (match made). The first team I got matched with, neither one had a single maxed out gun equipped. Went to orbit. Try again, exactly the same. Third time lucky. That's not to say it would have been a disaster, I just couldn't be bothered with people without a single levelled up weapon.
What level are you?
As long as there's a connection, I'm nearly always happy to help carry people through higher level content (people on here, friends of friends etc).
I want to do some raids tomorrow, feel free to join in.
I heard rumours that this week is a good week for getting Gjallarhorn in the random exotic drop points - theory is that each week there's a pool of weapons from which the random drops are picked and it changes each week. People are suggesting that Gjallarhorn is in it this week as they've seen it drop quite often.
I ran 3 VoG exotic chests with no joy and 3 Atheon hard modes - one of my teammates dropped Gjallarhorn, but not me.
Interestingly enough, on my third Atheon, I dropped Universal Remote, which EastEndZombie also dropped from the VoG exotic chest this week, so further support for the "weekly pool" of exotics theory.
Anyway, if you're looking for Gjallerhorn or Universal Remote, hit as many exotic drops as possible this week!

Lovechild, I do fancy gathering a team and picking up as many exotic chances as we can. A Tour of Destiny if you will. Gjallahorn will (almost certainly not) be mine!

Sounds like a personal challenge given my woes in the Abyss so far. Upgrade the gauntlets, equip MIDA and try and learn that flippin' Abyss and hopefully score some much needed shards!I deleted my second Warlock just now, in the process of starting from scratch with Titan so if anyone sees me online, I'm more than happy to have a stab at either Raid. I reckon if 3-4 people on the team need it, and we hit gorgon/atheon/ir yut/crota a couple of times, it must come up for someone.
I was determined to get mine the same way. Did gorgon-atheon then it came on crota. Had a really strong team and breezed through each in about 10 mins which helped. Blind luck I know, but positive thoughts people!!
Hopefully enough of us will be on.
