It massively depends on your team, but using Super Good Advice/Corrective Measure as your heavy and use them to break detainment shileds/take out Oracles, Vison of Confluence or a good hand cannon as your primary and either Icebreaker or Black Hammer as your sniper for damage on Atheon makes it pretty straight-forward. Praedyth's revenge is also not a bad sniper for it.
If it's any consolation, I've barely used Vex since I dropped it and you don't often see people using it now either in PvP or PvE.
i am also disappointed in lack of 6 man fire teams but like you will wait and see how good it is.
As for Borderlands I have played the games on the PS3 and Xbox360 and really enjoyed them and also ran the co-op in both to completion on split screen. Not as polished as Destiny but makes up for it in humor.
If there is a chance of people being into the co-op then I will pick it up, not sure I am going to gel with Hardline.

I'm thinking of picking up the Borderlands collection in the meantime, any of you lot got it? I'm particularly interested in the co-op side of the game which is useless if nobody else is playing...

I know what you mean. Battlefield is good fun, don't get me wrong but, it isn't really geared towards the 'casual' gamer and whilst I'm certain I will dip in and out of it when others are online, I just can't see myself investing as much time as would be required to be competitive (or even half decent!)Just ordered Borderlines and I'm pretty sure Anton was going to get it too

Well that's me convinced, ordered should be here tomorrow. Actually thinking about how much fun it was on the previous Gen I am really looking forward to playing it. Some of the one liners were "Friday night too many beers raid worthy".

VoG is, for my money, a better experience than CE. That said, I've had my usual luck they're with drops; no Vex, Fatebringer or vision of Confluence despite multiple attempts! What'd even more galling is that I've seen them drop numerous times, but always to the same few people who already have them and just don't need repeats. I've also yet to see a single Gjallarhorn drop for anyone, let alone myself!

Not quite on the level of FB or Gjallarhorn, but finally got Over soul Edict to drop on another solo run on HM Abyss. It's ridiculous, I know, but I won't deny I did punch the air in delight.

Clarkey, I'm sure I speak for most of the PH clan when I say I'd always be willing to help anyone with the abyss, on normal mode it's a cakewalk to solo with the appropriate gear.

I used it in the NF today with Lovechild and Speckle (cheers, pretty darn sure I wouldn't have made it solo even at the heady heights of lvl 32 
) and it was a revelation doing a NF with a primary having the correct elemental burn, a first for me. Worth levelling up to get the field scout perk as it burns through ammo in full auto mode.Gassing Station | Video Games | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
