Youngsy!! I'll be IB'ing if you fancy teaming up.
You're on! Just fire me a pm if you see me online. smile

PS: Invective is one of Xur's upgrades this week - might be worthwhile if you've got a version 1.0 knocking around as it could well be useful at 331 in the IB tournaments to come with the new restrictions on special ammo.

I'm thinking of a Fatebringer/Abyss Defiant, Invective/Icebreaker, Jolder's Hammer/Hunger of Crota (!) load out depending on map size.

Oh I'm not complaining, merely commenting.

I checked my time played recently nerd and even taking into account the fact that I bought the PS4 Destiny bundle, it still works out to be good value for money.

Anyway, as my mother used to say when I'd lose at ISS Pro, it is just a game. hehe

I agree that it has been excellent value for money. The learning curve for Bungie has been steep but, they genuinely seem to take community feedback on baord which has to be a good thing.

There hasn't been 'new' stuff each week though, has there? Just a new incentive to do the old stuff again. Which is fine, and I'm not complaining. I've had loads of fun on Nightfalls and raids but, whatever incentive was there before seems to have gone now.

I'll be glad when HoW drops and there is new stuff for us all to do, I just wish I was feeling a bit more excited about it.

Yep, bought the mkII upgrade this morning.

I've got an LDR with field scout and spawn with extra ammo which starts me with 20 something rounds. I should be able to swap to shotgun and retain quite a few rounds. I'll check later.

I'll be: Exotic hand cannon, LDR/Found Verdict, Corrective Measure/One Way Ticket.

Not sure I agree on the "new stuff on a weekly basis", Singhy.

Let's not forget that the full price of the game and DLCs is £80, or the equivalent of two normal games and beyond that Bungie promised a lot at the start that hasn't been delivered.
All fair points.

On "new" weekly stuff, I know it isn't truly new, but compare what we've got with the likes of Watchdogs. Initial price was the same, cost and amount of DLC is the same and yet one developer "supports" their game with variations of missions on a weekly basis and the other has taken the "this is the game, end of" stance. I agree that what they promised isn't what has been delivered though. That is poor, and I'll not be happy if we have to pay for the new raid! rage

Anyway, back to chat about normal stuff as this is way WAY too serious for me. hehe

Alas, I'm away tonight but will be about tomorrow afternoon for some fun and games. shoot Once I've got my eye in, I'll also be up for some IB. I'd quite like the helmet. smile

After watching the HoW trailer - who has their original v.1.0 Queen's Wrath armour stored away somewhere?

I have helmet and chest for all 3 characters. biggrin Hopefully I will be able to upgrade it to the new level - was originally level 29 - and strut around the Reef like a Boss! hehe

Just checked my vault. I've got 1 VoG helmet, I've dismantled all the old spec raid/IB gear.

What a bummer.

Look on the bright side, it just gives you an excuse to run VoG some more!

Kinda bummed about Iron Banner being next week - I'm away so will miss out on those pretty damn sweet looking helmets. The Titan one in particular looks great.

2 night falls resulted in 2 exotic armour pieces, both sharded.

Still need 3 pieces of VoG armour to have 3 full sets. Tempted to leave a set base and then upgrade a set.

Commendations are being done away with! You'll be able to trade them in for rep. Nice.

Bit of a dilema here - I've got around 10 faction tickets waiting for me at the postmaster across my characters.

If I take them now, I get a commendation for each one.

If I leave it until after HoW drops, I lose those commendations, but gain the chance of dropping new DLC weapons and increasing my faction rep massively after the rep system update.

I think I'll just wait and write off the commendations.

I've just got round to watching the reveal, not really sure what to make of it personally, lots of good points but some things that concern me really.
Looking at the new weapon upgrade system all my exotics will be 365 damage straight away considering you only need an exotic shard for the upgrade which is quite nice. I'm assuming that's going to be the same with the armor as well.

Just done a NM Crota Raid with a group raised via LFG, and it rammed home one of my annoyances with people. There were a couple of 32s, a couple of 31s and a couple of 30s. I was a 30, using my Titan, and I re-iterated that I had pretty good experience and din't need my hand held as my other two characters are 32. The other 30 was a squeaky voiced teen, sounded around 13 or 14 who insisted he too was experienced, and that he had Gjally. He died at the second lamp in the Abyss shooting Thrall with Gjallarhorn, he was shouting at everyone because we weren't shooting the Gatekeeper at the Bridge, and he was wasting Gjallarhorn rockets trying to shoot Ir Yut before the and Shriekers had been dealt with. During the Crota fight he kept trying to hide in the boomer towers.

Clearly, he'd not done the raid before - at least not to a point where he had any understanding of the mechanics - as we had to tell him why what he was doing was wrong, he simply didn't understand how he kept dying, or how shooting a Gatekeeper does nothing anyway. So why say you know what you're doing when you don't? In my experience most people are happy to spent a little bit of time getting newcomers up to speed, but its far worse if people claim to know their roles and end up causing a wipe because they weren't pulling their weight. Grr.

Anyway, we got it done. Rewards were a bit pants, shards and energies (though I do need some, so I guess I won't moan too much!) and I did pick up Raid Gauntlets for the Titan as well.

That would explain why he never shut the hell up!

On yet another positive note, Destiny really seems to have a soft spot for me at the moment. After ticking off some of my must-have exotic weapons, I managed to finally get Templar to drop me a Fatebringer. The fireteam actually seemed really cohesive until we reached Gatekeeper whereby it transpired that only one of our number was much cop as relic holder, and that most of us had only ever done a single role in that fight and were therefore out of our comfort zones when asked to change it up a little. We muddled through eventually, but came unstuck against Atheon. On each run, someone would make a schoolboy error (like not calling out for cleanses, relic holder not shouting when exiting portal, trying to walk out of detainment fields, that kind of thing) and while we did get Atheon's health low, we never got as far as the third stage of Time's vengeance as we were down to four members and whoever was outside couldn't survive long enough to keep the portal open and prevent the team wiping.

Despite not being able to see it through on this occasion, it does mean I know I really do need to brush up on my Relic-holding, particularly at Gatekeeper. Haven't done it for a while, and I wasn't able to step up as I'd like to have done.

Oh, and on the way through I've got a HM Gorgon's Maze CP if to go with the Atheon CP, so if anyone needs those I'll be on sporadically tomorrow. I'm happy to share while I can.
