Shane and I need a team for Templar CP on hard if anyone's interested/wants a shot at Fatebringer.

Cheers for the Sherpa runs guys, two pieces of raid gear means I sure will be back!

It's always really rewarding taking people through a Raid who haven't done it before, particularly the moment when it comes together and Atheon crumbles into so much space dust.

Good runs all round and lots of fun. Got the hang of the Templar blocking now as well.

Just did a glimmer run at VoG gatekeeper. Over 5000 per 10 minute consumable, using Universal Remote and Swordbreaker, plus all the amour/consumables that drop as well.

Hit me up if anyone wants the CP ready for IB.

Blocking the Templar transforms the whole fight and skillfully done Mr Child. thumbup

I remembered why I love this game yesterday- great raids fellas. Bagged my Second Mythoclast biggrin, 9th Word of Crota rolleyes but most of all, I learned a new game involving trip mines. hehe

I'll catch you all later. smile

The Raids are great, agreed. They're proof that when Destiny does get it right, it gets it very, very right.

I've been doing bounties across all three characters this morning in a bid to get my Fatebringer levelled, and I know everyone always said it was a great weapon, but... wow. It hits like a truck and both firefly and outlaw really do make it feel unique among handcannons. I've got two scout rifles with the same perks, but they don't have anything like the impact nor feel as nice in the hand.

I also picked up Praedyth's Revenge last night, and that has also been a very pleasant surprise. Low impact, but high rate-of-fire and excellent stability. Destiny seems to like me at the moment, if I could on;y get my hands on a Vision of Confluence...

Great shout on that spot, Lovechild! I'm convinced it's the best in the game, seems like it takes no time at all to max your glimmer.

One of my Fellwinter's Lies has regen ammo to mag after a kill, so I can typically get 8 or 9 shots before reloading - superb for taking out those hobgoblins. hehe

Yep, 600 glimmer per good run. I've farmed there for ages but I can't take credit for the double shotgun tactic though, I read about it online.

My Invective does regen ammo in Crucible. It takes 25 seconds to recharge.

That does look more effective than Exclusion Zone, though with the obvious caveat that you can't simply save that checkpoint forever, you need to actually play VoG to reach that point anew every single week. Still, I reckon I've spent close to 30,000 glimmer upgrading weapons and armour in the past month, so maybe its time I dusted my Universal Remote down!

That is the only problem, although the gorgon CP is a fairly regular thing but it does mean doing it on hard, which is what I've done in the past.

When was the last time you ran VoG on normal though? I've not done so for a couple of months at least. Hard mode is generally the preferred option.

Yesterday was the first time in a long time. No one needs any raid/exotics so they fancied an easy run for fun. Singh and i were the only ones brave enough to take on Legions though, the rest of the poofs hid. I prefer it hardredface

We did all our Templars/Atheons on hard in the evening though.

Gents, I'm in the (hopefully sunny!) US of A for ten days as of later today, so I'll likely be unavailable for any raids/NFs etc. If you do see me online, it'll be because I'm using Remote Play on the vita, though I'm unsure what the connection is going to be like so wouldn't wish to drag down any raid attempt with lag issues.

Have a good couple of weeks, I'll be back on 8th May!

I'm thinking of a Fatebringer/Abyss Defiant, Invective/Icebreaker, Jolder's Hammer/Hunger of Crota (!) load out depending on map size.
Did a bit of crucibling today to test load outs and get an idea of the new maps. I'm struggling to find a legendary primary to allow the use of IB or Invective. AD is too weak, it felt like a peashooter, but if you can make it work then fair play. Didn't bother trying FB. Tried Praedyths Timepiece as the perks are good, and it wasn't terrible but I hate semi auto pulse rifles. Using a 300 attack primary will also put you at a bit of a disadvantage.

Thorn still kicks arse and Vex Myth was good as well. My primary will definitely be an exotic, with LDR or Swordbreaker as secondary. I'm really not a shotgun user though.

I'm going to run with Thorn and Felwinter's Lie plus Jolder's Hammer on the close up maps and Hawkmoon, Efredeet's Spear and Hunger of Crota on the larger maps.

From the few games I played the other day, there was plenty of secondary ammo around not to worry about running out.

What time are you on tomorrow - I'm going to try the reset trick just in case, will save me having to grind at least one character!

Won't be on that early. Probably about 11:00 til 16:00 tomorrow and weds, and throughout the day Thursday. Working all weekend, so whatever's not done this week I'll smash through next Monday with the extra buff.

I found myself running out of ammo for my shotgun on the new maps as I didn't know where it was, and keeping an eye on the countdown was a bit of a faff. Starting with 6 and only getting 4 from a crate seems a bit stingy though, and swapping guns leaving you with no ammo also seems a bit unfair.

My LDR spawns with 24 rounds so I don't often have to worry about ammo. My Warlock subclass and helmet is set up so that grenades, melees and nova bombs charge each other up though, so using the Swordbreaker does help charge grenades.
