Destiny (PS4)

Jumped into Destiny for a little while this afternoon and I swear I saw tumbleweeds rolling across the Cosomodrome as it felt so dead and anyone that was on was IBannering. Did a couple of bounties and jumped back to Borderlands. I do hope HoW invigorates things a bit

Bungie claims a 10 year life for this game, but based on recent events, no flippin' way I'm afraid

HoW will liven things up for about a month, then it will slowly die again.

If the September release date for Comet is correct, then I doubt any of us will still be playing Destiny by August.

Crucible - had all the time in the world to have a crack at it today and those exotic bounties but still couldn't bring myself to step in there, weird. Just prefer the PvE stuff I guess.

I think you're right. Without a new raid to light people's "work it out" instinct, more PvP elements instead will guile many folks especially as many want the PvE element (me included)

I don't know much about Comet, but if that's September, then thats too far down the line to keep me interested

Comet will essentially be a new game, or a new game worth of content. Destiny 1.5 if you will.

I don't see why you're all complaining, I can't think of any other game I'd be annoyed that I'm not playing a year after release?

We've so far only heard about the Trials of Osiris element of HoW, We will find out about the Prison of Elders sometime this week which is another part of the upcoming DLC. I recon a raid will be added before Comet lands.

I was in your shoes Moog, I wouldn't venture into PvP but if you have a group of 6 together it is good fun just for the banter, even if it can be frustrating getting killed over and over.
I would save your exotic bounties for when Iron banner is over, you will probably really struggle with progress currently.

Yeah, I wasn't thinking of doing Iron Banner just the regular Crucible as that is still available as well, but I just couldn't start the game up. I even have the tools to do the job now (Swordbreaker and Corrective Measure / another void HMG) but would just rather do anything else than Crucible, sounds stupid I know

Bungie have said as much, but the point of contention will be whether they (or more correctly Activision) charge for it given that it was supposed to be part of HoW ....

Doesn't sound stupid to me at all, I feel exactly the same way about the crucible.

Fairly sure they never actually stated that HoW would have a new raid, always been assumption. They've provided a PvE and PvP end game content this time.

Grabbed the IB helmet last night, now have full IB, VoG and CE gear on my Titan.

Thanks for the Iron Banner fun at the weekend guys! Teams of 5 and 6 made this very fun. Also, we generally rocked- 95% of games were won I reckon.

I managed to bag the helm, chest piece, sniper rifle and rank 5 shader.

Smashed the hell out of IB last week and was absolutely raging due to lag by the end of it!

Anyway, must have spent over 60,000 glimmer on IB gear - two snipers, 3 helmets, 1 chest piece and I dropped another ship, HMG and Auto Rifle.

Now have multiples of every IB weapon, full IB gear on my titan and only missing one piece on my Warlock and Hunter.

I understand the last stream from Bungie showed IB gear being upgradeable, so I'll never need to rank 3 characters up again!

We sure did, it made an appearance in Destiny's w/c 21st April. I don't think I even did it that week as it isn't one I really like that much. Folks who did said that it was glitching though, something about an unintentional change made by Bungie or something.

Fair enough, but they've actually provided more than they promised there, so I highly doubt it. If obviously love a free raid, but you'd be stupid to expect it.
