. Having said that, i'll be on early afternoon to blast through the missions if anybody is in the same boat. 
In the meantime, it is time to say goodbye (in sorts) to my current guardians and their kit. Aside from a few "must ascend" items, I am more excited by the new clobber- the helmets look particularly schweet. I can see some current weapons never being used again.
In order then:-
Goodbye Daddy Hunter. Your Hawkmoon, ES and Prestige combination truely "wrekt" in the Crucible.
So long, "I have a crap jump" Warlock. Your Goldspiral shader a permanent reminder of the trials of Iron Bannering with this bunch of muppets.
And finally, my sexy hunter. May you forever be remembered forsaving your own skin leading the way through the abyss.
It's been a blast.
Still, the future looks bright. I've already considered my shader and armour loadout for the Warlock- VoG helmet, Claws of Ahamkara and CE chest and legs. The shader is chatterwhite and I think it looks "boss" :-

Logged in to the bungie profile page and it looks like things are starting to activate, as there is now an ascend button on the armor and weapon stats. Interestingly the text is "Increase defense/attack value of this item to the highest available in year one"
So no higher levels this year?
Also, realized I really want the new exotic titan helm as "Resolute in particular will reduce damage during the Fist of Havoc power slam making your Striker Titan immune to damage." - I feel much flying into mobs of enemies in horde mode and potentially followed by less "Guardian down"

Not that I am anything more than average at Crucible usually, last night was truly terrible! lol I started out bad and things only got worse.Saying that I still enjoyed it, I did lose about 100 points on my Thorn bounty

Cheers for the invite into your Atheon showdown Lovechild. Sadly despite taking down the big glass man, no Vex was forthcoming. Did get a second Vision of Confluence though which is nice and a ship

You have to complete the new quest line to unlock the PoE, takes a decent amount of time really, probably 6 or so missions.
First impression of the PoE seems good, though I'm not entirely sure how it works! I assume a key is needed for every run, but do multiple keys mean multiple runs each week? Got myself a new hand cannon and a DragonsBreath from it, so obviously its possible for exotics
