ToO started at 6pm on Friday and was available until 10am this morning, so doesn't tie in with the Xur resets at all.

For those who can access the Lighthouse, you can get underneath the main area!

From where you start, turn around and face the sun, go to the edge and then look down, you'll see ledges. Follow them around to the left, around the corner and keep going around and down whenever possible.

At one point, once you're already underneath the main area, you have to turn around and duck under a ledge.

This takes you to an area with a bed, desk, a dead vex, and a vex gate on its side.

I couldn't find any ghosts there.

Awesome job on the flawless ToO runs guys. Somehow I don't think I'll ever be seeing the inside of the Lighthouse smile Does your access to it remain after the weekly reset?

Unfortunately not.

Don't worry though - it's a very big and detailed area, with at least one door and corridor that are currently blocked off by Vex shields, so I suspect it will expanded and become a feature of the main game at some point.

There's also not a huge amount going on in there, nothing to interact with, just scenery.

Maybe, but what scenery! The initial drop off area looks gorgeous. That, and the whacking great treasure chest full of goodies.

I'm not watching, I'm only going to see it on merit. By merit I mean get carried through by people considerably better than me bowtie

I'm not sure you even have to be that good to do a flawless run - having a lot of luck helps (starting at the outside end of the map is always useful), good teamwork, strategy and communication makes up for us more average players against "good" kids who just want to tear off and start shooting at the first enemy they see.

Well, I'm not much better than I was but I'm starting to really enjoy the Crucible (yes, I really said that). Did the daily mission today and now that I'm starting to get to grips with the maps, it's much more fun and predictable. Even though our team won, I didn't receive a rewards package that I thought you got for the first successful completion of the day confused

Can't quite work out how points are awarded to the bounty as I finished the round with a score of 2000+ yet only a couple of hundred was added to the bounty score, odd

Hugely hampered by lack of a decent primary and I'm currently using Suros which isn't bad but it's no Hawkmoon / Thorn / Vex

Attempted the new lvl 32 NF with Stimps and Rubinho and found it tough! Everything takes much longer to die and I actually ran out of primary ammo for the first time ever. Almost completed it too only to have some barsteward melee vandal take us all out right at the end, damn it rage Better luck next time I guess

The Daily Crucible reward isn't a package, you just get awareded a Trials coin and sometimes a mote or strange coin just as the match finishes. They aren't shown on your rewards screen, but you'll find them in your inventory.

You get awarded points for lots of things in the Crucible - capturing flags, assists, bonuses for having achieved objectives etc that won't be added to your bounty score unless your bounty requirement is simply "gain points in the Crucible". Quite often the bounty is about kills only.

The Suros is an ok weapon in the Crucible, but a good tip is to "burn" (shoot) the first 13 rounds as soon as you spawn and not to reload until you're below 8 rounds in the mag. This is because one of the gun's perks is that the second half of the magazine does increasing damage and hits from its bullets have a chance to start the health regen process immediately.

So, if you burn the first 13 rounds, you still have plenty of ammo to take down 2 or even 3 enemies, but will be making the most use of the weapon's perks.

Right, yes I've been picking up passage coins and other stuff right after the match finished but didn't know that was the "reward package". I was expecting something at the Postmaster smile

Top tips on the Suros too as I've been completely overlooking those perks - I tend to fire off a few shots and then reload immediately (so as to have a full clip) and so never activate the perks. I'll be more conscious of those next time I'm in there thumbup

I'm now over halfway there with the Bad Juju bounty and yes, it's kills only that count so that also makes sense as I tend to capture a lot of flag points racking up the score without actually shooting a lot

Thorn bounty is probably a lost cause but I'll leave it there and just see what happens - the titan's void grenade seems to do well being sticky, but the lack of a void primary is making it hard work

The hunter's blade dancing shenanigans seems a bit OP for PvP, although I need to get better at spotting it coming and simply jumping out of the way whistle

Heavy ammo - so you lose it all on dying? That's a bit harsh isn't it? Truth is wonderful though, that tracking is just mental biggrin

Bladedancers are b@stards, unless you're a titan with Fist of Havoc or Warlock with Novabomb where you just unleash it and stop them cold.hehe

Otherwise you can sometimes get lucky with a shotgun if you wait until they're at point blank range.

Finally completed level 32 PoE last night, even with almost the completely wrong weapon loadouts...it a heck of a step up from the 28 which I can breeze through no problems

It's roughly equivalent to 2 Gjallarhorns, so 12 shots if you had a full group.

Definitely getting better at Crucible as I've finished the Bad Juju bounty now and Thorn is up to 150+ out of 500 and increasing quite rapidly compared to early on. Still finding it odd that some low level weapons can excel at Crucible (Stranger's Rifle seems good) but it's fun to try different weapons to see what works

Weapon drop rates seem good too. I've picked up HoW's solar and arc HMGs, void Fusion rifle and pulse rifle so far in not that many games plus you seem to burn through weapon upgrade bubbles far quicker than any PvE bounties can manage. Bad Juju obviously next up for that treatment (346 attack to start with too)

I know many of you were / are advocates of the Crucible and I have to admit I've got this badly wrong and should have been in there much, much more. It's frankly ace biggrin

Yeah, Crucible can be good fun, moreso with a good team.

Thanks to Penguin and Rubinho for the Nightfall and PoE runs this evening; still no etheric light, but a 172 stat roll on Voidfang Vestments is a pretty decent reward. I'm still not sure I wish to buy the armour piece from Variks this week though; I've done so on the Hunter, to get her to level 33, but my main is still Warlock and I've already got a couple of armour pieces with high strength-only rolls. Being level 34 is all well and good, but it's useless if my intellect and discipline stats have been crippled to do it.

The Crucible is ace. biggrin

I have as much fun in there as I do with when raiding, particularly if we go in as a team. This is most evident when Iron Banner comes around. Frankly, without wanting to brown-nose, some of the guys here are very gifted. It is a pleasure to play on the same team and we seem to win 99% of all games which adds to the enjoyment. Love you all XXX hehe

Anyway, I finally ventured into Level 35 PoE last night- myself, Kaney and Anton blasted through level 34 very easily and then got to Skolas at level 35 without wiping. After a couple of wipes, Anton had to go so Kaney and I decided to try to 2-man it.

We so...nearly...did...it! Got him down to less than 1/3 health and cleared the first set of mines. The curse was the issue as the immunity prevented us from passing it between ourselves. The plan was to allow the curse to kill one of us in a safe spot, get the revive and it should start again, giving us 30 seconds to finish him off. The problem was the next set of mines spawned at the far side so we couldn't reach it in time. frown We ended up calling it a night but will be able to finish it on Friday with a third.

I just *know* that there will be a couple of vids by the weekend of this being solo'd hehe

Crucible - blummin' hunters either blade dancing or golden gunning their way to easy kills. It is however quite satisfying to be able to sneak, as much as a titan can, around the back and shotgun them at point blank range smile

Still to do any of the PoE levels even though I now have two treasure keys. How long is it taking / did it take people to do, say, the level 32 version as a level 32? Just curious in case I have a chance to get in there but may not have the time to finish it as I'd hate to bail on the other two.

Also, what is the advantage of doing the 32 over the 28 version? Better rewards?

Saw an interesting vid of 3 x 34s with maxed ascended Gjallys taking down Skolas in the lvl 35 PoE in 37 seconds. So quick in fact that the level didn't twig that he was actually dead hehe
