Managed to get a couple hours on with Pilchard this morning and ripped through the Earth missions. Well, more like Pilchard ripped through them and I watched, dying occassionally!

Your team all get the same XP for the missions though, so I'm now at Level 8 already!

Mine arrived from Tesco. Headset smells awful, not bad as such, stuck it on Facebook/Gumtree though. Probably better than your average TV speakers.

Need to re-do all the Beta missions now.

Just done the first Earth mission and I do find it really odd that other players (who I don't know) are also running all over the map blasting some of the aliens for me - something to get used to I suppose.

I quite like it so far, loot system is cool but I liked that from the Borderlands games too

I'm just off to look now, but is there an online manual for this game that anyone has found and can link too?

It's basically Borderlands crossed with Halo. That's what I got from the Beta at least. I can't wait to get playing with friends again.

Blimey, you do a lot of stuff from in-game on the actual Bungie.net website if you sign in using your PSN ID. Stuff like decrypting gear, equipping gear, reviewing things in the Tower, etc - very cool

Just getting to grips with it, seems pretty cool and can understand why you need to play some in co-op.

Don't have a headset currently, so not sure if that makes a difference.

Is all online, so other people are running about too, you can play by yourself if you want though and just ignore them. Clearly as it gets harder you will need to play with other people to progress.

Really enjoying the game so far but, I'm pretty useless!! Looking forward to trying some missions as part of a fireteam rather than on my own.

Not sure as the "PH clan" doesn't seem to be recognised as such yet (the game / website tells me that I'm not a member of a clan), so I've started sending friend invites out to those folks who have posted their PSN IDs on here - hope you all don't mind

Also I noticed that some features / stages require you to subscribe to Playstation Plus including for example creating your own Fireteam - anyone know what that is and should I be bothered and how is this different to inviting your friends to tackle a stage with you? I'm not currently on Playstation Plus but could be persuaded if I'm missing out (£40 a year)
