HM Crota isn't what it was - I managed a two-man run (though we were both at level 34 and did take around three hours!) which was pleasantly challenging without feeling like it was impossible. Crota can still be a glitch mofo though, despite recent efforts to stabilise the encounter!
If think a full 34 fireteam would do the raid in around 1/2 an hour of all went as planned. I'd be well up for it, to name one! Still need that crux!

I remember now where Bungie got the noise that Thorn makes when it is fired, here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EAcdvmnZ_GM

I know before even looking, it's bound to be Giggle Monster, right?EDIT: They skipped the entirety of the Abyss? How'd they do that?
Ah that makes sense. I wondered why they were all hanging around at the start!
Thanks to Youngsy and Reese for the 34 PoE run, got my Vision to 365 attack and pulled Purifier Robes from the chest at the end. Been a good couple of days for new exotics.

Started on a Titan today and got him up to 11, took me 2 hours to do the Chamber of night mission on the Moon on hard (level 12 and I was 9 when I started), it was harder than I remember, thought it would be easier the second time around!
At least I have a nice array of Armour courtesy of Xur when he hits 20 though, should be 32 I no time.

Not surprised it took you so long, 3 levels below the mission difficulty is crazy!! It is more time efficient to run it at a lower level for less XP as you can probably knock out 4 or 5 missions in the same timeframe! At least I have a nice array of Armour courtesy of Xur when he hits 20 though, should be 32 I no time.
I managed to get the boots on our Crota run last night (even though I was dead for the majority of the run ) The only thing holding me back is a lack of plasteel plating. Probably going to blow all my glimmer on green stuff from the quartermaster (450 glimmer a pop) which should get me anything up to 50 or 60 of the little buggers!
Unless anyone can think of a more efficient method?

'Fraid not. It only comes (as you are more than aware of) from dismantling titan armour, so welcome to the next phase of Destiny grinding You'll be looking forward to receiving those blue and green engram drops and hoping that they aren't weapons ...Unless anyone can think of a more efficient method?
Having taken stock this morning, the Crota run (just 40 mins!) netted me some decent stuff. No WoC sadly, but that's expecting a bit much from the my first HM Crota completion. We didn't even bother with the chest at the top of the Thrallway even though we just seemed to walk through that bit and the door was wide open
2 energies
15 shards which will become energies
Another Abyss Defiant
Another Oversoul Edict
Glowhoo shader
2 bits of armour (chest & helmet)
A new sparrow to replace the green one I've had from day 1
I'm keeping the guns as the haul of shards / energies gives what I need to upgrade Swordbreaker
Cheers to Speckle et al. for letting me join and to the person who decided to drop from the raid to allow me to do so, I doff my cap to you sir as I only stuck my head into the chat to see what was going on

I don't think it will be much of a grind tbh, it'll just mean a 30 minute glimmer farming session in the Exclusion Zone with my WarlockMoog72 said:

That was Singh, that was! From your haul, I think the sparrow will make the most difference - you'll find getting around on patrol and getting to your objective in missions much less of a pain, just be careful you don't let it explode (like I do....all the time! )

No worries dude.
Sexy is now level 16.
The Crucible is so much more fun (and quicker) to level up than the bleeding story.

You'll still have to do some of them, to unlock stuff like VoG, Crota's End, Strikes etc. won't you? I didn't like Baby Hunter being locked out of weekly content so, I'm trying to unlock everything this time around.
So, where are this week's FAILS young man?!
Red Death is ok for Crucible, average for PvE. Not really a top tier weapon.
He's also selling helmet engrams and the new titan boots, so (after burning a few materials) the only exotics I'm missing in the game are Eon's Bones (Hunter boots), Purifier Robes (Warlock chest) and Dreg's Promise (sidearm).
Thinking about how I'm going to unlock those last two armour items is depressing though - even with an exotic chest engram my chances of dropping the last remaining chest piece is 1 in 8. So, I'm likely to need 184 motes of light to get it and it could be considerably more.
I don't think I've even seen an exotic boot engram, so the chances of me dropping Eon's Bones are ridiculously small and the likelihood of Xur selling them must be tiny.

Drum roll please.
Itsssssssssssssssssssfail WIN FRIDAY!!!
Okay. Owing to the fact that, sadly, sexy Hunter has been deleted, there has been an immediate 50% reduction in the fail-possibility ratio. As such, and as a one off special, we shall have Win Friday. Please do not let this dissuade you from any fails you'd like to share.
Firstly, as a result of yet another one of these ():-
I thought it was only right that the new level 1 Titan rocked that Emblem:-
"Yes, mate. Me and the Khostov went flawless."
Okay. Onto some serious stuff. It is a true, true pleasure to share this. My very first Fist of Havoc. I jumped into the Crucible as a level 2 and ranked to level 4 within a game or 2. This really is the first Titan smash I've ever performed:-
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d-2O_kQx7VM
I'm also pleased to report, that my trusty (green!) shotgun is a bit of a beast in the Crucible. I actually managed to get my very first "Buckshot Bruiser" medal yesterday. I am astonished at the amount of armour that Titans have... no wonder they just run around with a shotty:-
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=numE9x5C8L4
and finally, a nice ToO headshot double. Quite easy when they just run towards you but still, I made the shots. Notice Kaney going mental with the shotgun at the end :-
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dCXJ6mAoDD4
Aggressive> passive. Always.
...enough teasing. There had to be 1 FAIL.
Picture the scene. Nightfall. Hunter. Solar Burn. Celestial Nighthawk. I had already ran through the NF and so knew the gig with G-horn melting him in seconds. As such, I was curious to see whether I could finish Valus off using the single GG shot. At very least, how much damage would it do? This was going to be it. My moment:-

From the very 1st Gally shots (immune!) to the end. A total failure (although The Messenger (Adept) with arc burn was schweet!)
