Speck: I've got NM gatekeeper CP for glimmer. You're not going to like this, but the best way for armour materials will probably be a 5 win carry through Trials. The armour is 250 glimmer and will probably yield more materials. With the boons you only have to win 3 and can lose 4. Remember to unlock the upgrade nodes before dismantling (not practical if bulk buying).

Gaz: Buy Red Death. Everything that's been said is true, but any exotic with a specialist perk could prove invaluable at some point. Better to have it and not need, rather than need it and not have it.

Great vids as always Singh, although a little part of me has died inside seeing you running around as a shotgun wielding Smash Bro weeping Although as to be expected, you're doing some serious work with it yes

Firing at Valus before the doors close..........NOOB!

I think Fail Friday should unofficially be highlight friday, as a win for one of us will be as a result of a fail for whomever is on the receiving end. So without further ado, Fail Friday continues..............

I've not been on much when anybody else has. Played my Hunter through the Queen's missions and lv28 PoE to unlock the higher level PoEs. My guaranteed exotic from running PoE for the first time with a Treasure Key was Thunderlord.

I also had the Kill Urzok the Hated part of the Eris Morn quest taking up a bounty slot on my Warlock as I'd never bothered to do it. I went on late whilst rather drunk and found a large fireteam at Skywatch when the Defend Warsat event started so I nailed him and finally finished off the Eris Morn quests. My Thrallskin Braces came with Pulse Rifle Loader and enhanced grenade throw distance.

I did spend the armor core on the Kellhunter's Blood chest piece for the Hunter.

On Red Death which I see Xur is selling this weekend. It's a Crucible monster! Mine dropped when I first ran 28 PoE with my Warlock. On my Hunter with Gunslinger's Trance it is a headshot machine. I prefer it to Thorn.

Not sure when I'll be next on. Pull me into a fireteam if you see me though, I'll have a crack at anything as it was so much fun running with you last week.

Edit: my weekly fail was turning in 8 completed Crucible bounties without my Dead Orbit cloak equipped and the wrong (already fully maxed) subclass chosen wasting all that rep and XP. No video, and let's be honest it wouldn't be very exciting anyway!

I really don't care enough about efficiency to put myself through that sort of ordeal! bounce

Either that or, Fail Friday (I do so look forward to SIngh's failures!) could be followed by Showoff Saturday. I could probably get involved in that due to the sheer awesomeness of my day to day Destiny existence, as proven nicely by Lovechild above thumbup

The Crucible is so much more fun (and quicker) to level up than the bleeding story.

Okay. Onto some serious stuff. It is a true, true pleasure to share this. My very first Fist of Havoc. I jumped into the Crucible as a level 2 and ranked to level 4 within a game or 2. This really is the first Titan smash I've ever performed:-

It's been pretty typical of my week - every evening that the Mrs has been at work there's been an interruption to service, for maintenance or something else. Still got lots to do!

Had another crack at Skolas this morning, and what a fantastically well-designed fight it is. I know people get angry and frustrated that it can take an hour to reach him, then a couple more to get him down, but the co-ordination and communication required to juggle clearing ads, servitors, the debuff and the mines all whilst staying alive and managing to whittle Skolas' health down means that when you succeed it's because you earned it.

I guess we took around an hour and a half on Skolas himself, but I did bag myself an Elder Cipher exotic bounty, and then pulled ship, shader, emblem and another handcannon from the large treasure chest as a symbol of my first Skolas kill.

tldr; Really enjoyed the Skolas fight itself. The fact that it comes after so much other stuff with no checkpoints? Not so much.

Well, it has been a tough week! Baby Titan was born on Monday afternoon and, after a week of coaxing and nurturing, I am proud to announce that, as of yesterday evening, she is all grown up thumbup

Considering the utter mish mash of old Titan armour I had available to me, even I am surprised she got there so quickly!!

For Singh - We both know that punching is the new arc-blade punch Without further ado, my first punching failure just for you bowtie

Oops!!

After about a dozen exotic helm engrams from Xur, I finally got the celestial Nighthawk this morning bounce

Just the Ram to find now...

Agree with all of this. It is a really fun fight and you actually feel like you've achieved something (also agree that checkpoints would be nice!)

Well done on your completion mate thumbup

I think a lot of the frustration is that the rewards often don't match the effort required - you were lucky to get the cipher and an elemental weapon, more often than not you'll get neither, just an etheric light, an armour core and a weapon core (all of which can be had by doing the quicker and easier levels).

Cheers Speck, and congrats on the swiftly matured Titan! I'm still unsure which class is my favourite - Warlock was my first (and second!) but offers less utility in PoE than the other two, and while Hunter invisibility is nice, Arc blade is of very limited use, especially when compared to the game-changer that is Ward of Dawn. Our fireteam was actually three Titans, all specced for Defender, all with Helm of St 14 and there was always at least one bubble up. It gives you invaluable breathing space, especially when you need to dismantle a mine and you've got mere seconds to spare. All three classes have their uses, but I suppose I'd sum up thus; Warlock is most fun, Titan is PoE MVP and Hunter is support.

I'm looking forward to getting my hands on Lord of Wolves especially, just hope the waiting phase of the bounty doesn't take days and days as I know it can!

Absolutely! The rewards from PoE really are a bit rubbish! I'm just doing Prison now for a laugh. I've got the elder cipher the 3rd weapon, the Dreg's promise and I'm just not motivated by the gun, only by the fun biggrin

I've gone off my Warlock a bit, it is hte character I am always least likely to select for any given activity. Always loved the Hunter, it was my first character and I feel most 'comfortable' using it. Baby Titan is obviously getting most of my playtime at the moment, mostly because of the novelty and having lots of stuff to level up and upgrade for her.

I'm certainly not lacking things to do in Destiny at the moment!
