You must have missed the part where I wrote "with some randoms".
At one point I got fed up with them dying all the time, so I just left their ghosts where they fell and finished the round on my own. They got pretty p!ssed when I started down the corridor back to the airlock, just leaving their ghosts in the middle of the arena!
Level 34 boss is the big Servitor.

Moog's and my attempts at Nightfall weren't very successful. I'm blaming the random from my friends list who we pulled in to "help"!
My GF's away tonight so I'll be online all evening for NFs, PoEs, Raids or whatever.
I need to do HM Crota and PoE 35 for my Year 1 emblem according to Bungie.net

Randoms can be a pain, but they can also be really good fun. A few of the people on my friends list were randoms who I got bunched with and ended up chatting to for a while in party, even when the activity was long finished.?At one point I got fed up with them dying all the time, so I just left their ghosts where they fell and finished the round on my own. I won't mock too much; Speck, Stimps and I did a highly successful run of 34 last week, got to Qodron pretty quickly then took... well, suffice to say quite a while, trying to play the mechanics before deciding to cut our losses and just nuke him with Gjally.
Not sure what our total time was, but it was a long haul!

Zombie, Rubinho, be aware that 35 PoE can be a bit of a time sink. Speck and I were comparing notes last week and we reckoned you need to allow about three and a half hours from start to finish on average. I do really enjoy the Skolas fight now though, it's less of a gear check and more about communication and strategy, exactly as it should be.

Is charging around like a lemming shouting 'Kiss My Grits, Skolas!!!!' considered a valid strategy? If not, it may take me a lot longer than 3 1/2 hours!! I do really enjoy the Skolas fight now though, it's less of a gear check and more about communication and strategy, exactly as it should be.

It is.The fight is now very enjoyable. The run up to it and the subsequent rewards, do however, suck arse.
I need to run a nice easy 32 to get my last cipher from the chest, then more than happy to do hard raids or a Skolas if people need them for their emblem.

Stimps, Rubinho and myself tried said "easy" PoE this afternoon but got stuck on the final level, I need to read up on a strategy for that one as we didn't finish and two of us had to go, most frustrating. Two people nuking him with Gjallys also didn't work before those containment bubbles appeared (we we're trying to get him down before that stage)How the feck are you supposed to get out of the bubbles? 6 shots with Swordbreaker did nothing to get me out and then we all died time and again
I now really hate the Vex too esp. the Hobgoblins, grrr
I also went golden chest gathering and I reckon there is an issue in the moon chest count for me. I'm pretty sure I've got them all but it shows as 4/5. The only location I couldn't check is the one in the Phogoth strike but like I said, I'm sure I have that one. Annoying if it is glitched however I can't see me doing PoE 35 any time soon so it could be a moot point anyhow
Noobs!
We 2 manned it the other day. It did take a while, but play the mechanics. If you miss the eye man, a maxed found verdict gets you out but you do run out of ammo quickly.
I think you have to get all the chests on 1 character rather than spread between them. Could well be a glitch though. I'm gonna search for my 3 at the weekend.

Speaking for me alone then yes, I'm a PoE noob through and through this being only my third foray into PoE We 2 manned it the other day. It did take a while, but play the mechanics. If you miss the eye man, a maxed found verdict gets you out but you do run out of ammo quickly.

I dunno though, PoE already doesn't really click for me for some reason. Raids I got and enjoyed immediately, PoE just isn't in the same league
I think that you can grab chests with any of your chars since the stats are the same no matter which char you are using at the time and the "Triumph" wheel is based on your Bungie profile not character. I've also read more than one post elsewhere saying the same about incorrect moon chest counts. Anyone up for a vanilla Phogoth strike some time so that I can check for sure?
The problem with the lvl32 boss this week is the Hobgoblin snipers. I had no issue getting out of the containment bubble, with or without the buff. But, avoiding th snipers while getting the revives is nigh on impossible! 3 x gjallahorns has been my most effective method on that boss by far!

I got 30 strange coins from the NF's this week.... RNG loves me!!!
150 heavy ammo packs isn't a bad haul if you ask me! lovechild said:
I got a Gjally for a NF as well. I know it's RNG, but might be worth doing them all Moog.
Happy to spam all the exotic drops in the raids this weekend if you're on.
Two Gjally drops in two weeks! It never rains, it pours! Got to maximize those chances so yes, I'll see if I can get the NF done with my Hunter at least. The warlock is now at level 30, but underpowered for a NF realisticallyHappy to spam all the exotic drops in the raids this weekend if you're on.
Should be around some of the weekend - HM raids are always fun

You need to do your NF's will me, Moog. I've seen Gjally's drop for people in my fireteam every week for the last mont or so. None for me though, I'm the anti-S99ane.
Deal - I'll take any improved chance of a Gjally drop, fictional or otherwise OK, so I've read up and watched a good video on Qodron now and understand it better, might be prepared to give it another shot at some point. SGA seems to be the gun to wield if you are the Jailbreaker role, Armour of Light for the bubble and make sure you group up when the containment fields appear in order to break out everyone quicker
This was very informative for me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h2OgLyIW_DE
And to further descend back into noob status, we ran my final weekly heroic yesterday with Stimps and Rubinho doing me a favour since they'd done them all already. We got it done in super quick time as expected and at the rewards screen one blue engram and 3 extra SCs, result! Or so I thought, when it suddenly dawned on me that I'd set the level to base difficulty and not level 30, goddamit So not 3 extra coins on top of the 9, just the 3 ...
