I wouldn't worry. I think we've all done that on much more than one occasion, usually at some sort of crucial point too Must do some weeklies this time around, I get a bit jittery when my SC hoard drops below 100 ... Omnigul last week is a PITA, but Phogoth is much more acceptable

The subject of more than one of my fail Friday vids has been a Guardian/rocket interface. Now that I've got a Titan, I suggest everyone has a surreptitious look over there shoulder before firing a rocket, as if I'm in the vicinity you're getting a bubble on your head

Seriously, has everybody gone down the Simply Games route for TTK?! £36 for the legendary edition, add the code to the PS4 for TTK and flog the new disc with 2 codes for TDB and POE for £20~? Ergo, TTK for >£20?!
Any better deal out there?

Assuming that TTK does come as a code and isn't actually on the physical disc of course! Unlikely but do we know for sure?Any better deal out there?
I was just going to order it off PSN to be honest
Yeah that'd be a kicker.
Although 2 copies would be an excuse to buy a 2nd PS4.
I assume you've all seen this:-

Certainly seems like the cheapest option, although I'm not sure that the £15 gained is worth the bother of dealing with ebay fools and queuing at the post office. The 2 major problems I can foresee are, it not arriving on time and forlornly looking at your friends list at everybody having fun, and not wanting to go to the post office because you're too busy Destiny'ing The pricing structure does seems like a bit of a sharp practice in order to artificially inflate sales though.
Unrelated: Whilst looking at Simply Games, I saw Dishonored Definitive edt for £20 which comes out at the end of the month. Really enjoyed it on the ps3. I read something that states you get a discount if you bought the ps3 version digitally (apparantly it was a ps plus special, which also quailifies).

PSN wasn't selling HoW dlc on release night. There was a tab for it, but it wouldn't work. I bought the code from Game which worked fine. I hope Star Wars BF is good, I don't think it will be though. As the films would say........ "I have a bad feeling about this"

Last time I checked it was available to pre-order on PSN, I just assumed it would unlock on the 15th like the Expansion Pass did for me when HoW dropped in May. I've got the 16 / 17 / 18th off work purely for TTK so I'd be mighty peeved if I couldn't in fact play it having downloaded it from thereI hope Star Wars BF is good, I don't think it will be though. I'll have a look around at other options, Game is a good shout. I normally buy stuff from shopto.net, but they want nearly £45 for the legendary edition disc, they don't seem to sell codes
Without wanting to come across as a lentillist, my thought process is only partially price related. I don't really want to contribute to the "we've sold x million DLCs at double the price... we should do this again..." mentality that will arise.
If you need me, I'll be in the corner with my kidney beans.

True. By buying the game again though you're contributing to the "We've sold x million games even after cutting a load of content out, with the intention of selling it later as DLCs" ethos. There's no right answer really. Bungie know people are hooked on the game and will exploit it. For the sake of £15 I'll go with whatever option is easiest. If you need me, I'll be in the corner with my kidney beans.
A time will come when there is no value left in the game due to either too high a cost, or a lack of variety and content. HoW is pretty crap, and in hindsight I would have happily missed it out. I think the future of Destiny rests on the quality of this upcoming DLC. If it's lacking content I think a lot of people will leave the franchise.

I'm not sure I'd necessarily agree that HoW was crap; a lot of the changes it introduced have been very gratefully received (re-rolling weapons, the new perks, ascending gear, material exchange with Speaker) though I will concede that PoE, whilst it can be fun in places, isn't a patch on a proper raid and Trials is basically played on a skill level I don't come close to, therefore don't enjoy.Darkl Below was a step backwards in some regards; remember resetting all your exotics to then re-level to the 331 cap? The only reason it will likely outlast HoW is because it has a raid.
I agree that TTK is going to be very important, though I suspect Bungie are well aware of just how much the community expects from it, especially given the very vocal controversy about the price. Once the initial excitement about the new year 2 weaponry and armor has subsided, are the story, strikes and patrol area going to be enough to hold our interest? Most importantly, is the raid going to be up to par? Hopefully it borrows the best elements of both VoG and CE and will once again see the whole clan online at the same time fighting over who gets to dive in day one.

At this point I'm just hoping it has enough content to carry me through to November when Star Wars Battle Front drops.
For me, content is judged by PvP and the Raid (or whatever the end game content is). Missions, bounties, patrols etc get boring after the 2nd run through and are a means to an end.
Vanilla Destiny easily worth £40.
TDB easily worth £20.
HoW not worth £20. I like Trials a lot, and am lucky to have skilful friends on whom I can lean. I'm not carried, but I'm certainly not leading from the front. I can definitely see how Trials has excluded A LOT of people.
I don't think the new PvP modes will be anything special (enjoyable no doubt), I am however expecting big things from the raid. Will it be worth £40 though? I'm not convinced.

I'm hoping that TTK will not so much be "just more content" but will bring a real change to how Destiny plays and perhaps how it *should* have been from day 1. Level progression by doing things in game is a step in the right direction rather than relying on lucky drops to level up for example. PvP polarizes people - new game modes are great, but for me personally it makes no difference as there are PvP game modes there now I've never played (and probably never will)
It's all about PvE for me - I'm looking forward to the new sub-classes, the explorable Dreadnaught with it's own hidden secrets, tasks, weapon challenges, etc (I really do hope this lives up to the billing), the new gear / weapons and of course the Raid. This will be the first Raid where I'm there at the beginning. I missed out by being late to the party for TDB and CE, not this time.
I hope they have got this one right, one that has lots of things to work out and discover, one that's going to take time to crack, one that you can have a laugh with others, one that doesn't have a stupid Abyss with tons of Thrall that to this day I still can't get through reliably
There needs to more of a sense of achievement, bumbling along and finding something that you hadn't before, the "ooo, what's that?" type of moment or the successful working out of a puzzle you've been mulling over for a couple of days, that type of thing. All stuff that has been "promised" but we'll have to wait to see if it's delivered on
If at least some of that happens, it's £40 well spent. Only the Borderlands franchise has anywhere near as many hours on it as I've sunk into Destiny and I remain optimistic for TTK
I didn't like HoW, the three missions were over in no time and PoE? Rubbish, IMO - I don't like it, I don't play it hence why only one char is a 34 and that's ultimately only down to a lucky etheric light drop in a NFall.
Trials is basically Crucible+++ and really only for good players if you are to get much out of it ergo, PvP noobs are unlikely to venture in and another chunk of content is basically off limits to folks like them / me. The fact it only runs at the weekend is also a daft decision in my view. I mean, what is the point in that really?
C'mon TTK, you've got one chance to impress, don't muck it up Bungie!

I have really mixed feelings about TTK. The more time I spend away from Destiny, the less I miss it. HoW didn't really work for me as it drove a wedge between those who PvP and those who don't by making Trials a weekend only thing. PoE would have been more fun if I hadn't consistently felt like I was having to twist people's arms to reluctantly join me (not in every case but, quite often with Skolas!) It changed the social dynamic of my Destiny experience to such an extent that I have been enjoying it progressively less over the last couple of months, to the point now where I just don't play.
I will probably buy TTK but, if the focus on Trials at weekends persists with raiding and such only being in the week when my time is limited, I'll most likely not be playing all that much...
Oh yeah, and the new raid had better have checkpoints!!
