Tremendous raiding yesterday fellas. 2 completions in not much time at all. 
I'm up to 303 light and bagged the hand cannon and HMG as well as raid boots and another chest. Just missing the gloves and helmet.
Both weapons are excellent. I don't think we've been short-changed there. Best of all, I'm just steps away from bagging my own Touch of Malice!

Only until 17.30 apparently, then will be patched to 300. Also system update 3.0 is out so that needs downloading and installing before online play, 250mb download.

Managed it earlier with a pretty high level team using the bubble on the platform/sword on the boss strategy. The other two were titans popping bubbles (use blessing of light to keep you alive outside of the bubble) and I ran Nightstalker to produce plenty of orbs to feed them from the adds. Seemed to work well.
Bagged a 310 version of the gun, but blueprint versions (cost you 2,500 glimmer and 1 exotic shard each from the iPhone kiosk) only come at 300 light level - still good for infusing into other secondaries lower than 300 light level, but not as good as having unlimited 310 snipers to infuse into them!
My heart sank when I was kicked from the game world for the update... The consensus was that the reset was to restrict the Black Spindle back to 300. However after a few attempts, it still alluded me. 
Oh well, nevermind. I was playing for pride now. I wasn't going to let that blinding big f
k beat me. On the last attempt and with 15 seconds to go, the last psion split into 2 for the last time. 
It was done. Grimoire popped up, as did the ship () and BS. To my surprise, it was 310! These are still dropping people AFTER the patch. Keep going if you're still in the hunt.
Everything has been infused and in doing so, I've gone from 25k glimmer to 425.
To cap it off, I forgot that I popped a ToC before the last mission and was pleased to see a primary exotic engram with the postie. It turned into a Zhalo Supercell. Happy days!

I tried it three times, and still got nowhere near. We had two Titans (my Titan is only 288 light max sadly) who were alternating bubbles and trying to burst the boss down quickly, which worked once but we then just got overwhelmed by adds, the second and third time the boss just kept running out of the bubbles, even when tethered by a Nighstalkers super, so the three of us were simply taking too much damage from adds to stay alive for long.
I did suggest having two on the boss and one of add control, but I was shut down pretty quickly. I gave up after the third try, it really isn't a lot of fun.

Yep- there will be a large update which will change the voice acting, economy system etc. Not buying the latest expansion would be silly though. It is by far the best of what we've had. It'd be like buying a supercar but leaving the engine. Or summat.
Sims- the bubble method didn't work for me. I tried with Youngsyr who was kindly helping out having got his and again later on. Some of this was just horrific decision making on my part re bubble placement but even when it was placed properly, he was just stomping us.. Helm of St14 would make a huge difference but I don't have a new one. Using the hammer spamming wasn't possible after the patch.
We managed it by having a dedicated blight and add clearer (there are only 9 blights that spawn) and 2 people simultaneously smashing the boss with swords and supers. It is still tough but the only way to do this is with add management.

Luckily, I'm not all that bothered about a wannabe exotic black hammer - it was more about the challenge of getting it done.

I gave up after about 5 or 6 attempts. The last two we only had a couple of adds left, so were frustratingly close.

Whilst that may be true, due to some buggers at a game company called Bungie, I have no time to drive my cars or ride my bikes. Instead, I spend my free time on more worthy pursuits, like chasing exotic sniper rifles all night.Cheers fellas.

I know this because my dinner was getting cold next to me and I could feel the beginnings of the Oculus from the missus (raid gag) as some bake idol was on the television "soon enough." The successful attempt (with Kaney and the yank) really was the last. Happy to help you guys when it comes around again.
In all honesty, you fellas aren't missing much. The sniper isn't brilliant- 100 Yard stare is better. As for using it for infusion before the patch, the drop rate for raid weapons (300+) is high and they are generally better anyway. 300 weapons aren't essential for the raid- it is being beaten so easily at the minute. Don't get me wrong, it is nice to have it but the completion is more satisfying.
There are some nice motas for certain. A few exiges I spot and I know Sex pest went from a Maserati having had a GTR. Excellent work guys. Now just finding the time to drive them

Now just finding the time to drive them I managed to get it done last night as well with two guys from LFG, luckily they turned out to be great and we got it done on second attempt.

Used the BS to get my 1000 yard up to 308, very pleased.
I wonder if you get some BS from the blueprint at 300 and leave in vault will they get downgraded to 290 when the nerf/patch hits?
