How's life as a filthy causal?! eek

I've yet to touch the Warlock so he is a healthy 169 light. hehe

Anybody got any decent rolls from using the Glass stuff that Xur sells?! That is going to be pretty essential for Trials. I'm looking for speed re-loader for pulse rifles with a high intellect roll on my chest armour. Other than that, the hunter is ready. shoot

I think i am the most casual of the lot. I have only just completed the story missions on the weekend , hopefully i will have the 290 light level raid requirement soon.

No Time to Explain has been found, another multi-quest exotic reward.

A few in the party chat got this last night. The multi-point quest involves downing Atheon and so I helped out with that. Ridiculously easy to do... he was killed with 1 relic run as was the Templar. eek

Anyway, the gun. By all accounts it is a beast. The exotic perk (all precision hits return those shots to the magazine) is a game changer especially as the stats seem to be better than Red Death. The range looks to be very good.

I think we found the next Thorn... smile

I like the no time to explain, it's a good pulse rifle, not as arrow like in PvP as mercy but the perks mean less reloading.

Just picked up first Curse exotic hand cannon, not sure about it really.

Annoyingly, I didn't hand my ghost in last time so will have to wait for the daily to come around again (next week with any luck)

Not in any hurry though as, the 'game changing' aspect you refer to is only in PvP.

Even with the new rewards, I kind of felt at the time like the Nightfall shafted me yesterday. I got a 297 ghost, 20 strange Coins and 11 Three of Coins.

I realise that the strange coins and Three of coins combined will very likely net me around 4 or 5 exotics but, I felt robbed of that instant gratification from a 310 exotic reward frown

ETA: Lovechild got lost in VoG this morning... what a n00b!! loser

Yep, I just meant PvP. smile

Starting to get pumped for ToO but also, quite apprehensive frown. The changes they've implemented mean it is going to be much, much harder to get to The Lighthouse. Things like 8-0 scorecards WILL lead you to a final match with another team also at 8-0 and also, the loss of connection-based matchmaking fill me with dread.

To compound that, my PvP skills still aren't "on point" hehe If that continues, there's no way I'll get there. Rather than let down the team with a negative K/D, I'll probably just duck out. frown

I'm trying to build confidence by looking at my decent ToO and overall crucible stats:-

Not exactly stellar but then again, I'm usually the (unwilling frown) victim of rumble boosting games. Why I let you lot do this to me, I don't know. scratchchin

I'm in a similar boat, Speck. I didn't bother with getting the Ghosts in Paradox last time it was the daily, so had to start from scratch. I ran it solo last night and it took a while, especially with the threat of a single death wiping out your progress and forcing you to start again. The constantly re-spawning Taken hobgoblins in the final boss room were getting very irritating!

Still, got it done, handed the Cult ghost to the FWC and now just need to wait for the quest to pop up again in order to make progress and claim my NTtE.

Will be looking to crack through Nightfall on all three characters this evening, hoping for some good armour drops more than anything else. Funny, isn't it, that Warlock has gone through the raid three times yet Hunter and Titan have only been through entirely once each and yet its the Warlock that has generally the weaker armour, all pieces at sub-301 bar the boots whereas Hunter and Titan are rocking 306-310 in at least two slots. No 310 Warlcok exotic drops yet either, despite having numerous for the other two!

Cheers for the searingly quick King's Fall run gents, sorry I had to bail so quickly upon completion; the Mrs is beginning to take exception to the amount of time I'm spending on Destiny rather than with her! I'll buy her some flowers over the weekend, that'll keep me in the good books for another week at least!

Allow me to rephrase

You weren't lost....you just didn't know where you were, or indeed where you were supposed to go tongue out

You did the void sword without me then? Sucks for you, 'cos now you'll have to do it twice thumbup

Last night's raid was very smooth (and also done at a sensible time!!), helped enormously by Kaney being torn on both occasions (damn all that jumping stuff!) hehe

My brother came on after you'd departed. I told him what we'd done:
"Oooh, let's do that then"
"I don't think we'll make it, there's only 25 minutes til reset"
"Come on, let's try"
Got the chest at 09:58 shoot

Gissa shout when you want to do the strike, although I'm working all weekend (gonna miss HM - BOO!).

Apologies to Gaz and Shane. I was in a sleep deprived, unsociable mood. Did some housekeeping, a couple of PvPs then passed out.

Managed to rattle through three Nightfalls with Stimps and Jammy, got rewarded with a 300 scout rifle, a 305 Vanguard ghost and a 310 Hawkmoon. None are stellar rewards, but they're all much better than the 280 range crap the NF was giving out a few weeks ago and it does at least give you some incentive to actually do the strike!

There was some concern expressed about people jumping into HM King's Fall as of tomorrow and abandoning normal mode, but I don't think that will be the case. Dependant on the changes introduced, HM is likely to be much tougher to crack than NM so I can still envisage people who want a leisurely Raid run opting for normal mode, especially if the loot pools are separated as Crota's End was.

Stimps, Jammy, sorry I didn't spend that much time on tonight; aside from having dinner onthe table, I had the GTA decatted and a new exhaust fitted earlier, so ended up going out for a drive and making lots and lots of glorious six-cylinder noise. smile

Another smooth raid last night, complete with a competent random. Really looking forward to HM tonight. Best I can manage lightwise is 305 but, all I need is a couple of drops at 310 - 320 to make up the difference. I doubt it will matter, we initially entered every other HM raid sightly under-levelled too.

We were discussing predictions of how far we might get on the first attempt. The general consensus is that we will get stuck on Golgoroth but, it is all just wild speculation at this point.

Ran a bunch of strikes this morning (about 7 I think) and only got a single exotic drop for my trouble! Admittedly it was a 310 chest which meant I could infuse my raid chest to 310.

Itsssssss Highlight Friday. smile

Well not quite. Just thought I'd share a dirty headshot of a hammering Titan *just* out of his animation followed by a triple in Mayhem Clash, finishing with a double twist my replacement for t-bagging. hehe

http://youtu.be/iUB5ODESGHU

Admittedly the players in the bubble were bad (WTF were they thinking) but my PvP rehabilitation continues. Sniping seems to getting much better. smile

Catch you lot later. smile
