Spent 7.5 hours on yesterday eek

Story mission was ok, a little short.

Up to 346 light level from completing quests and buying 35 light level armour. Did the gally quest, feels good to have that in the arsenal again.

What is the best way to grind gear to get to 350+. I havn't ventured into the Hard SIVA strike or nightfall yout. Also I havn't tried cruicible yet.

Cheers

There was rumours artifact wouldn't but they were wrong.

Gjally quest is good fun.

Really liking how it feels a bit more fleshed out, and they've expanded on some good ideas from TTK.

Sounds like a good expansion from what I am reading.

Currently in the US and won't be home until Sunday by which time my 315 characters will be decidedly weak!

I dipped my toe properly back into the Destiny waters last night. Completed the story missions with my Hunter and my light increased by around 10 as a result, and finished the first step of the gjallahorn quest (scan the anomaly) this morning. Quite annoying this one as, having used the key, I promptly died in the next room and respawned back outside the room to find the terminal was rebooting and I needed another key. Back to patrol, took about half an hour to find another key before I could carry on and complete the quest (which took ages to do solo!)

Will hopefully complete the remaining quests later this evening.

Hasn't felt very grindy yet but, I suspect that is down to the perpetual progression of light and novelty value at this point.

I finished the Gjally questline last night after I gate crashed Lovechild & his brother doing the final mission only to find that they had already received their 'Horns and I was late to the party. Rather worryingly, my quest progress showed it as basically complete (although I didn't turn it in) except for the not inconsiderable fact that I was without said rocket launcher and I was convinced I'd found a glitch frown

We ran the mission again though and all was well - I think my relief was plain to hear hehe Cheers guys!

Unless you really want that Iron Gjally right away, I'd wait until you get a high light heavy to infuse into it - that way you have the Iron Gjally and the regular one to play with (there is no difference between them stat wise). Incidentally, once acquired, both versions are available to buy from the kiosk

Speckle - definitely get help for the last two missions if you can, it will make life a lot easier!

I'm going after that Khovstov next ...

Power levelling...........The cheesey waybiglaugh

For any who has a mind to, you can make good progress on your light level by running Will of Crota strike, a la Grasp of Malok grinding. Get to Omnigul-on-the-hill, kill her, wipe and repeat. She drops 2 blues at a higher light level than you, up to low 360s. Use Raze Lighter and Tether as you normally would for max efficiency. Equip what you get and infuse Raze Lighter accordingly.

Adam, Pappers as I spent a short (whistle) while there today, and are 362 -365 and Raid ready..........maybe.

Obviously Adam knew what to do, I just did as I was toldteacher

Erm, not sure why I bothered with the exotic Khvostov quest as the gun is a bit st based on early usage. One for the vault and hope it comes into it's own later down the line as it won't be taking up my exotic slot anytime soon - at least the quest to get it didn't take too long I suppose

Picked up that artifact that turns enemies into allies now and again when you punch them, that's pretty cool and sometimes very useful, vandal fight! biggrin

Broke a habit of a lifetime and ran the Wretched Eye strike with some randoms - promptly got lost and it took me a while to work out where to go. Still, at least they had cleared out most of the ads before I'd found my way back hehe Final boss battle is interesting, virtually no cover, a lumbering ogre thing trying to stamp on me most of the time and the boss itself with a super powerful void beam weapon that took me down in about 2 seconds - NF with void burn anyone?

I have not had as much time as I would like to level up for tonight so only sitting at 348 light, so pretty much useless!

I do have some nice frosty boots tho!

I also have a few purp/exotic engrams to decrypt so may jump a little higher later.

I like everything so far, new crucible mode is good.

I think it's a complete lottery on how your light levels up. My highest character before ROI was 32 my mates was 26 after doing the story missions and the Gjallahorn quest together his highest character is 47 and mine is 46. The highest blue engram I can get to drop is 40 he is sometimes getting higher blues. I also put a lot more time into the game than him too so go figure.

If anyone wants to add me on the PS4 my tag is j-fut1a and I am on most weekdays.

Jeez, some group has beaten the new raid already, just 2 hours after it was released. Another Crotas End perhaps? Or tipped off on the mechanics scratchchin

Our small exploratory fireteam of 3 didn't get very far at all

I mean we all want a raid that takes ages to finish the first time like VoG did, but the fact of the matter is players are a lot smarter now, know what sort of mechanics to be looking for etc.

Still, I'm expecting it to be shorter than KF.

The Raid team did say it was going to be less mechanic-reliant than King's Fall, but yes, WotM was beaten approximately four hours after launch. Yes, they're a group of near-as professional gamers but the fact that they got through it blind is a little disappointing.

I won't grumble too much though, if its short and sweet you're more likely to get groups wanting to run it repeatedly, not like KF where most would only do it with members who had experience with the mechanics, and you're more likely to have success with randoms from LFG.

Do you have to do this on a particular "level" strikes in playlist etc ?

It was actually only 2 hours. When you consider it took the pair of us 1 hour to do a heroic strike last night it shows how the size and mechanics of the new raid aint what they used to be.

Consider it probably would take the same group about 15 mins to do the strike and re-evaluate.

Also, still hoping to do the raid blind so can we use spoiler tags for any details? smile

Finally got my hands on my Year 3 Gjallarhorn, and in the process completed one of Shiro's bounties. Upon handing that in, I unlocked the quest for Year 3 Thorn as well. Result.

Git, I have done his bounties twice as well as all the crucible and vanguard bounties each day twice and still don't have the bounty.
